Very disappointed with the way my warranty claim was handled . 6 month old outlander door handle catch on inside of door failed . Mechanic "reattached ", 3 weeks later exact same problem . Mechanic writes up as "customer broke handle " therefore was not covered . I have been going back and forth trying to get this problem handled very patiently. It looks to me like the mechanic Jose B did not fix properly the first time and is trying to cover her ass to now blame it on the customer. In addition the part number written In Work order to be replaced is considered a "finished trim " and the part I received a picture of was a wire with a bevel on it. Pretty sure wrong part number was submitted on claim as well. Just received the final call and was told that the mechanic said there was a crack on the inside of the door panel....thats new news that wasn't included in original diagnosis . I'm very disappointed in the service received and my treatment as a customer ,who purchased a brand new car less than 6 months at time of failure . read more

Three stars because it's just so so. They don't go above and beyond and I don't even know if they checked my car as they said they did. They kept my car for an entire day when I called at the end of the day they said they couldn't find anything wrong (my check engine light was on) and then they gave me a list of things that needed to be done of the car, mind you most had already been done and the whole reason the check engine light was on was because I had an after market gas cap on it so instead of telling me I needed a different gas cap they said they didn't know what was wrong. Just bizarre, told me I needed new air cabin filter when it was just replaced which tells me they didn't even look. They just looked at my mileage and told me I needed a bunch of crap I didn't need. I went to Valvoline for an oil change kid looked up the code and told me in two minutes I needed a OEM Gas gap all for free.... and I didn't have to leave my car for an entire day. Truly amazing sales experience which stands out during this time of low inventory. Thank you Matt! Full story: My sister in law is a teacher in Orange County and she needed to replace her aging gas guzzler with something more economical. With the used car market still crazy, it looked like the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 ES (base model) would be a great fit for her as one of the lowest priced, most fuel efficient, and longest warranty cars out there. (It has its drawbacks in terms of engine and road noise, fit and finish, etc, but she just needed cheap, reliable A-to-B car). However, they were hard to find in-stock, and the ones we did find at any of our nearby dealerships in OC or LA had either dealer markups of $2-3k or bogus dealer add-ons they wouldn't consider removing or marking down, like special VIN etching, anti theft GPS, or paint protector stickers on the door handles. We had walked away from a deal from an LA dealer a few days prior because they wouldn't work with us on the $500 paint protector stickers, which is just too much money to protect the paint on a $17k economy car. After that deal fell through, I called and texted around to dealers in the inland empire and San Diego areas and we were considering doing a day trip as long as 200 miles round trip to purchase the car the following weekend. I got connected to Matt at Mossy as part of this process, and he confirmed for me that they did not charge dealer markups on the G4 they had in stock, and that it did not have any dealer addons. We were able to purchase the car at MSRP+destination which is very very hard to do in this tight inventory market. Not only that- we weren't able to get to Escondido for several days due to my sister in law's work schedule, so Matt actually had the car delivered all the way from Escondido to Orange County same-day at no charge, to make the deal happen for us. We were expecting to find a catch or a gotcha somewhere but we never did. It was fair and honest dealings all the way through, which is rare at any time, but especially during this crazy COVID/low-inventory car market. not sure i know how to objectively measure idiocracy but i'm extremely confident these guys are toward the top of the list even if you're grading on a curve. my wife bought an OUTLANDER a couple weeks ago and the purchase agreement included an extra set of keys. after confirming the dealership (MOSSY MITSUBISHI ESCONDIDO) had all the pertinent information (apparently extra keys are really a big deal), she set an appointment. juggling her busy schedule to squeeze in enough time for the shitty drive in morning traffic from CARLSBAD to ESCONDIDO, she showed up promptly for her 9 am appointment. after being jerked around for a inconveniently long period of time, she was told that the dealership did not have the extra set of keys and had, in point of fact, not bothered to order them OR called to give her an update. she was already mad enough to spit nails before she got the following e-mail the next day : Hello Jodi, Perhaps it is our error, but our records reflect that we missed you on Wednesday, April 11 2018 9:00 AM. I leased a 2018 Outlander PHEV GT. I worked with Sorush (Sales) and Jamie (Finance). Both were great. I think the overall experience was as good as it could be. I came in with all my homework done. I knew what I wanted, and the terms I wanted them for. Of course there was still a little bit of the back-and-forth. But at the end, I got what I wanted, and I was happy about it. I had my 5-year-old with me, so it was good that they had a play area and free popcorn in the next-door building (where Financing is). I came in on a Sunday, so they had 1 finance person (Jamie), so it was a bit of a wait. But, all things considered, all things went as expected. Want to know how to lose business and NOT sell a car? Insist on requiring a credit check on a client bringing their own financing to the table. Not sure what this "company policy" is supposed to do to protect you against fraud, but if it was a roundabout way to see if you could get a better rate, I'll stop you right there. You can't. This is of course on top of the fact that yours sales staff doesn't even know the vehicles in your own inventory. I had to schedule multiple appointments to get a recall issue resolved. They have a single person that can flash software updates and this person only works every other weekend. Seriously? The service manager at this dealership is completely unresponsive and never returned any of my (multiple) calls. It was a very painful experience and I do not recommend this dealership. I came in with a pretty high demand for an all black interior, all black exterior and manual Mitsubishi Lancer. I had already been to a couple dealerships in search for a car to drive for a very long time. I had gotten a quote for roughly 20K on the lancer, exactly how I wanted from Mitsubishi in National City. However, they wanted me to get preapproved first before transferring the vehicle and showing it to me. Apparently no one had had it in San Diego, just in their ports in Anaheim. I found Mitsubishi Escondido from TrueCar. I was a bit bummed out that the interior color was not exactly how I wanted, but the 5K difference, is 5K. For whatever reason there was a better deal here than in national city. Sorush was not pushy, and understood the wants in my car as well as my financial limits. Although Navy Federal offered me a better interest than the dealership, he pushed to get their quote even lower. I'm very satisfied not only from him, but the honesty from Mike as well. This kind of dealership is exactly what I needed, people who care about their customers and not about their sales. I'm so thankful and happy that I got a BRAND NEW car for such a young age. I have been working with this dealership for about two weeks or less now on a deal. We finally came to an agreement deal on a vehicle, the right number for my trade, and worked with my bank to ensure the numbers match. Saturday I went into the dealership to finalize the deal and get the option contract. By the time I got there the numbers had changed and when I asked why they told me the general manager said he was loosing to much money on the deal and he changed the deal. I am a 100% disabled veteran and am exempt from paying registration fees. When I told them this they still added it onto The sale. Therefore, by the general manager going back off his word and the principal of honoring a deal I left empty handed. I am not to sure if this dealership has much integrity and ran by a general manger who appears to have no ethical practices. I wonder if this dealership would even honor their deal but this can be fixed. read more

We bought a new car here in October 2019. We ordered some accessories with the purchase, including the cross bars for the roof. They were priced higher than aftermarket bars, but we figured it was more convenient to buy from the dealership. Weeks went by and the bars hadn't come in. I called the service department and our salesman a few times for updates and finally found out six weeks after our purchase that they had never ordered the bars we paid for. I asked for a refund but they refused. The finally ordered the bars, but when we went in they unpacked them to find they were damaged. They suggested installing them anyway and offering us a $25 discount on an oil change, which is ridiculous for a $400 part that is damaged. They re-ordered the parts and finally in late January 2020 they installed these two bars on the roof. It took them over 3 hours to clip these on while we waited in the lobby. They claimed they had to "take many measurements" and that's why it was taking so long. Avoid this dealership and their total lack of customer service once a sale is closed. read more

Absolute worst service I have ever had. I did not feel like a human being but more so as a number or dollar sign in their pockets. I arrive expecting to purchase an inexpensive mitsubishi mirage, I clearly state all I want is the absolute base model so what did I pick? 3 cylinder Manual Transmission. The manager constantly wanted me to get a Lancer which I never had intentions to buy one. I purchased my car with pre-existing damage and pointed it out after I drove it home (Scratches and paint defects). They never had any intentions to fix it. What got me the most upset? I expressed I didn't want the gap insurance for an extra $2500 but what did they do? They added it on top of the original price. (This got me really mad as it would anyone else) This Dealership also charged me an extra $800 dollars for their alarm which I could have done without. Frank told me that he would take care of a scratch on the front bumper of a brand new SUV that was caused by the dealership, he had them place some touch up paint on the scratch and told me that was all he could do. I went to purchase a 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage. I found one on the Mossy website and contacted the sales manager Brad Triplett to confirm the car's availability. He confirmed and the price was listed at $15.9 K. The ad on their website said it was an automatic transmission. When I arrived they told me the ad was wrong and if I wanted an automatic transmission it was $18.3 K. This is a typical case of bait and switch. I would strongly recommend you avoid this dealership.
