The goods!!
Toni D.

So glad to have this special bakery in the area! It has become a weekend ritual for me and my family. The bread is so fresh, and delicious! Perfect with a morning beverage, the kids love to break off pieces for themselves. The bakers are so friendly and proudly tell you about the breads. Clean and authentic atmosphere. This is perfect to bring to someone's house- switch it up from a regular box of donuts or bagels. I love it plain or with butter, and would make awesome sandwiches too! My sensitive stomach feels good afterwards too, so it's a treat that I can truly enjoy!!

The bread I chose. I ate HALF the loaf in a couple of hours on my long drive home

I was walking down the strip when the charming, heartfelt mural on the front wall immediately caught my attention. Something about it quietly said, "Go inside." As a pretty introverted person, that's not a feeling I often get from a shop -- but this place felt different, so I walked in. Inside, I found a genuinely kind man and shelves lined with freshly baked bread wrapped in simple white paper bags. The pricing was refreshingly straightforward: $6 for the smaller loaf and $20 for the larger sourdough, which looked perfect for a family gathering. Since it was just me -- and the bread accompanying me on my long drive back to San Diego -- I chose the smaller loaf. The bread itself reflected the bakery perfectly: simple, honest, and thoughtfully made. It tasted like it was crafted from just a handful of quality ingredients, with nothing unnecessary added -- only what was needed, done carefully and well. You can tell this bread was made with patience, love, and memories of home. I highly recommend stopping in to support this local bakery, which only opened a couple of months ago. It's the kind of place that reminds you how special small community businesses can be.

A friend and I stumbled upon this Georgian store by chance. Highly recommend! They do sourdough both Georgian and American style, and we tried the Georgian bread - delicious, and very easy to eat the entire loaf! Super friendly service! We will be back. Note: this is not a sit-down place.

Excellent sourdough. Sells American loaves and Georgian loaves. What's the difference? Nobody knows. Both are great.

Excellent sourdough bread; authentically Georgian from the bakers' 96 year old grandmother. Unusual and delicious!

Delicious and different. A little butter, chevre, or tepenade would make it even better. A wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

Their flavor combinations are unique, everything is always fresh, and the quality is consistently outstanding. These are easily the best pastries I've ever had. Their French macarons deserve a special mention. I've never really been a fan because, in my experience, most places don't get the texture right. But this place completely changed my mind. Every flavor I've tried has been amazing. The shells have the perfect texture, and the fillings are packed with flavor. I even traveled throughout Europe recently and made it a point to try macarons everywhere I went, just to see how they compared. Surprisingly, not a single place came close. They also do a great job of keeping things fresh by regularly adding new pastries and seasonal items to the menu, so it's worth checking their website before you visit to see what's new. I recently saw them featured on the Food Network, and after eating here so many times, it's easy to see why. They truly know what they're doing. I can't recommend this bakery enough. Whether you're stopping in for pastries or macarons, you really can't go wrong.

If you're looking for a unique dessert experience or want to impress someone with pastries that are almost too pretty to eat, Artelice is definitely worth a visit.

The staff was very nice and helped us with our pick up order. We picked up our order through 'Good to Go' and the process went very smooth. While the flavor variety is awesome and they don't skimp on fillings, man are these cakes typically dry and a little dense. Had the tropical coconut pineapple cake for a friend's retirement party in December and while the price of a small cake is steep, it was very good. I was impressed! Another friend and I debated what the best berry and cream cake was. I said WholeFoods. She said SusieCakes. We taste tested. We both stood our ground on our opinions. Last weekend,I had the strawberry cake at a birthday party and it was very dry and dense. And the baby's "smash cake" never really got any deeper than the frosting layer, which leads me to believe it was also dense. While I was doing my friend the favor of picking up said birthday cakes, I noticed the pineapple coconut was back in season, so I came to SusieCakes the next day to get a slice. Very friendly staff! But very dry cake. So disappointing after paying ten dollars for a slice. Overall, the vibes are always good. The flavors are great. But the texture is just not it.

Customer service can be hit or miss. Yesterday, it was something in between. I normally don't update reviews unless some things change from good to bad and vice versa. After leaving the restaurant, I had a sweet tooth. Decided to stop by this bakery which is located inside Gelson's Market and buy few pastries for the house. Mostly for their mini Eclairs that are filled with delicious, Vanilla custard and coated with chocolate cream. Well, once again they were out! Was greeted by Esther, one of their managers. Somewhat friendly and helpful. Was trying hard to impress. I told her I need 8 pieces of individual pastries. Right away she got the box ready and stocked all my favorite pastries in them. Got 2 slices of Parisian pastries,($9.00), 4 slices of their Vanilla Custard ($15.80), (which is one of my favorites) super light in taste and texture. Last, but not least, got 2 of their regular Eclairs ($9:00). Total came out to be $33.60. Every time I get some lame excuse from their employees such as come back tomorrow, we only have them in the mornings, or the best one, we only have them Friday to Sunday. Well, yesterday was Friday & no mini Eclairs. Time of my arrival was 8:40AM--7/17/26. Esther told me they get them in after 11AM. Not true. I went back just to check and still no mini Eclairs. So Ester, the manager was lying. They also have cakes, cookies, their Alligator tart that has a lot of nuts. Variety of cold and hot drinks: Coffee, Latte, Espresso and more. Plenty of parking spaces. The bakery was very clean and had maybe 2 other employees working there. Expensive, but very yummy. They also sell bread. Freshly baked. Can customize any cake according to your preference and liking. For any occasion.. Go check them out and see which one is your favorite?? Make sure you don't ask for mini Eclairs!!:-)LOL.

I requested a pastel, whimsical, tea design cake and sent reference photos. What I received was bold, watermelon-like colors that completely clashed with my child's party theme and on top of that, a milestone 5th birthday. I was also only told after ordering and paying that Sunday pickup isn't normally allowed -- forcing me to pick up the cake at 8am the morning of the party. That policy should be disclosed upfront. We had to change plans in order to accomodate this request she unprofessionally sprung onto us. I emailed with photos and respectful feedback and received no response. Not even an acknowledgment. As a business owner, I would have been ashamed of this! The cake tasted fine, but the communication and customer care were terrible. I would not trust this bakery for an important event, ever! Please save yourself the trouble and thank me later ... i would give this review zero stars if I could.
