On multiple occasions, I have arrived at the register carrying him, with my own reusable bags clearly visible, yet the cashier and other employees have made no effort to help bag the groceries. They simply stand by while I balance a child in one arm and pack everything myself. Today, my wife had an equally frustrating experience. She was waiting in line at the hot-food counter with our son in her arms. When it was her turn, the staff ignored her while customers behind her called out their orders and were served. She repeatedly tried to get the employees' attention but was overlooked. At checkout, there were two employees working at the register. Once again, neither offered to help place her purchases into her bag, despite seeing that she was holding our child. This is not about expecting special treatment. It is about basic courtesy, awareness, and customer service--especially from a store that positions itself as a premium shopping experience. Erewhon should seriously review how employees at this location are hired, trained, and supervised. Basic etiquette and attentiveness should not be too much to expect. Very disappointing, Erewhon.
