I finally made it to MOTO and it was awesome. I ordered a variety of pizza ahead of time (50 minutes), arrived at the location to find out the staff had completed it and kept it warm in their oven. We ordered some sodas and ate our pizza on the small patio outside. Overall great place! The staff was great, kept one pizza warm for me (Was for the wife back at home) super friendly and helpful, awesome service. I loved the patio, well-done artificial turf and comfortable tables with umbrellas; you forgot you were in the city. A definite must if you like pizzas! This pizza is absolutely worth the wait. I ordered two pies for a group of 3, and that was plenty to fill us as the pies are CHONKY. These babies have a beautiful cheesy crust and the flavour combinations are incredible. We had Root (our favourite) and the vegan version of Kissd. Both were amazing, but Root was our favourite; the combination of toppings and flavours just made it absolutely irresistible. That being said, the vegan cheese and "meats" are very impressive and well done, so a great option for those who have that preference. We personally decided to pick up our pizzas and walk over to a nearby brewery, but I was pleased to see there was lots of outdoor tables available for seating if you decide to hang out. read more

I can't believe we got a walk-in pizza! This place only makes a certain amount of dough per day so you gotta hop on it! We got the Pig pizza! The crust is delectable and the toppings are so unique. There was a mish mash of sauces. One of them tasted like tamarind or pineapple... my hubby thought it was a bit too sweet but I loved how interesting it was. Service was quick a joy-filled... seriously... everyone there was exceptionally nice. We also got the soft serve in one of their homemade cones. I picked the churro grahm cracker cone. It was yummy and fun. The churro was nice and cinnamon-y... quite filling actually. The hubby and I split the pizza and single cone and were satisfied with the amount. All the hype how can you not try the pizza. 2 month wait. Got my pizza. Ordered pepperoni. So here is the thing. I'm from Detroit. I've had a lot of Detroit style pizza. This wasn't that great. The crust was okay but not the typical cheesy that I expected. It was soooo salty. Overpowering. Probably because it had so much pepperoni it's all you can taste. Toppings are good. Too many take away from the point of Detroit style pizza. I get the hype. It's in West Seattle and definitely caters to that crowd but that's just not what I was expecting. I wouldn't wait months for it. I know unpopular opinion but honest. Updated: went back from the invite from the owner to try again and a world of difference. Ordering is a little tricky as their online ordering is usually sold out months in advance. However, you can still order them in person if you go to the store at 4PM. I called around 4:30 on a Tuesday and they had 5 more pizzas left so I quickly drove over (~15mins) and was able to snag two, Mr. Pig ($19) and Crab ($24). The pizzas were ready (they'll text you) in less than an hour but you can also tell them when you'd like to pick it up. Mr. Pig was by far my favorite. I like my pizza saucy and this was absolutely perfect!! They are not stingy when it comes to the toppings and the pork belly was especially delicious. The crab pizza was good too but not as saucy as I'd like (probably so the flavors were not overpowering the crab). I personally would not get it again but that's just me. If you are in West Seattle, I'd definitely recommended this place, especially the Mr. Pig pizza. It's cute, very picturesque (the movie Up-vibes), and the owners were so so friendly. Like most of us foodies we've all heard about MotoSeattle Pizza, and are either waiting for our long awaited order date to come or simply trying to figure out how to place an order on the 3 month long waitlist. Our pickup day finally came, and it was truly not only WORTH THE WAIT but the insane detour drive too! My husband and I reached out via email and have been working with Nancy on getting our sons 2nd birthday party order ready. From the very first correspondence Nancy was extremely kind, and courteous. Upon arrival she and Lee had our order packed and ready, we couldn't help but stay to enjoy a shareable Oreo pie with strawberry ice cream (crazy sounding combo, but somehow the flavors just blended perfectly.) Lee and Nancy earn 10 stars for customer service, hospitality, and overall kindness! They are truly fantastic and love what they do/provide for the community, that love is shown throughout the well manicured cottage establishment and most importantly the DELICIOUS food!!! As previous reviewers have stated the pizza is delicious, the flavors of the fresh herbs, toppings, the zest from the tomatoes, and crispy yet moist HANDMADE sourdough crust just melt in your mouth. OVERALL: 8.25/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 4/5). I showed up without an online order (they're sold out through August 2021... yikes!) at 4:05pm on a Wednesday. They were already out of vegan pies for walkin, which doesn't affect me, since I'm DEFINITELY not vegan, but is worth noting in case you have dietary restrictions. No peanuts in the house but they do have walnuts, so be aware! I was definitely thrown off by all of the reviews where people waited OVER TWO MONTHS for trying this place, so I said "screw it", and was determined to try my "luck" by walking in at 4pm on Wednesday. Thankfully, it was fine for me, but I can imagine if this place snowballs any further the scarcity will get even more exacerbated... so try it BEFORE it gets to that point! 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 8/10. For walk-up, they have the full menu, but can sell out of certain customizations (like vegan) early on (even as early as 4pm), so if you're planning on going, GO WHEN THEY OPEN! For walk-in orders, you order through a tablet at the register, enter your phone number, and swipe your credit card (yep, it's a bit of a contrived system but it's all good). You can ask the owners for what's popular and whatnot, but ultimately the choice is yours! 2) FRESHNESS: 8.5/10. I hadn't tried Detroit-style pizza before this outing, so I was ready for a new experience. This was definitely impressive - the pizza was warm, chewy (not overcooked or burnt), and the toppings were consistent and fresh. I found it odd that the sauce design was a huge X-looking thing (my friends asked what it meant and honestly, I don't know), but looks aside, the pizza was tasty. 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 7/10. Maybe it's just me, but as filling as the pizza was, $19 felt steep for what I was paying for. Especially since (I know they're not "equal", since my reference is Chicago-style personal deep dish) Delfino's isn't more than $16 after tax, I felt this one was more filling (definitely crust-heavy, as Detroit pizza is known for) than others I've had in Seattle. Keep in mind, their other offerings aren't cheap either: the pepperoni is $16, the crab is $22. On the cheaper end, the cheese pizza is $9. You can definitely feed two people with one of these pizzas, but for one hungry person this is a big-ish meal (I skipped lunch so I wouldn't be messing myself up too badly). 4) SERVICE: 9.5/10. You put in your phone number after you order, and they text you when your pie is ready. Mine was ready 24 minutes after ordering (4:08pm - got the text at 4:32pm). Nancy mentioned it'd be under 30 minutes - and they made good on that estimate! Also, for you walk-up folks: Nancy's (she's from North York! Cool!) tip was that Wednesday and Thursdays are calm, but Fridays and Saturdays are crazy busy. I'm definitely going to try either the crab or the kissd one next time, but I know my wallet isn't going to like me very much that day; and it'll be a Wednesday or a Thursday since Fridays and Saturdays are going to be P-A-C-K-E-D!! read more

Sigh. After reading all the hype, we were stoked to place our order back in October. The day finally came to pick up the pizza. Walking up to the building it smelled AMAZING, so we were super excited. Once we got our order, we went back to the car and decided to try it right away since we had a 45 min drive home and didn't want to try it cold. We ordered the pepperoni, and the cheese (figured they were safe options since they're a classic). While the crust was good, sauce was good, the cheese was not. It tasted like Kraft slices were melted on the pizza. Just didn't mesh well together and left a weird after taste. Definitely wasn't worth the wait of 3 months. Maybe we'd try again with the specialty pizzas since those seem to be where the hype is. But as far as classics go, they needs some improvement. Staff was nice, so an extra star was added. This was my first time trying Detroit style pizza and I think it is now my new favorite style of pizza HAHAH. Ordered the Mr Pig and OMG so good! Sauce has a slight sweetness to it and it was absolutely unexpected! The crust is light and crispy. Perfect amount of toppings! Fabulous!! Oh and the owner (I believe) was out there, greeting people and thanking them for braving the cold! So worth it!! I got here exactly at 4 (when they opened!) and there were people ahead of me already! When it was my turn to order, I was so fortunate because they only had a few more walk in orders available. Finally they opened up online ordering for the entire month of March and I was lucky enough to book one for Saturday night!! Boy.. i am totally stuffed to my hearts content while I am writing this review and my soul is already craving for some more Moto style pizza! We ordered the dungeness crab and Mr.Pig pizza.. both had their own merits and awesome flavors. The dungeness crab was delicious - you could taste the freshness of crab, herbs, lemon while Mr. pig (my personal fav)- some delicious pork in some amazing sauce, what a feast of flavors in my mouth! And did i mention their pizza dough? That is insanely delicious!! I could eat this pizza over and over again! Its tasty and addictive! I am guilty - i over ate but this was totally worth it - my tummy was full but my soul wanted more The owners are very sweet. Online ordering was a breeze. You get a text message once the order is ready. Nancy also called to ensure we got the "order ready" text and was very friendly. When you walk through their door there is this very nice positive vibes homely welcoming feel - what an environment and the owners deserve all the credit for setting up such an amazing pizza place right here in West Seattle! I wanted to try Moto for a long time but didn't because of months long wait. I've heard you can do walk-ins so while I was in area I ordered. Luckily I got there a few minutes before they opened They were about 3 people ahead of me so you wait in line until its your turn to order. You order on a kiosk unfortunately it took about 5 minutes to work as it kept going offline. Its in small house with give or take about 5-6 people working. A lot of people ordered the soft serve while waiting for their pizza as it was very hot day. My friend ordered two Cheese, and I ordered a Cheese and Root pizza. I have never had Detroit pizza so i was very excited to try. I thought the Cheese was good though couldn't taste the cheese. But the Root pizza was Awesome! I could taste cheese more on the Root than cheese, oddly. It was a little expensive 4 pizza's with tax and tip was $80. You have to warm the leftovers in the oven Its the best way and the crust gets even more crunchy. Want to give a shout-out and say thanks to the friendly, welcoming, and kind Moto staff. They were all working very hard. Next time when I'm in area I'll have to try the other pizza's and the soft serve. read more

If you can get an order in while the online menu is available, the CRAB and the ROOT pizzas are delicious. I ordered 16 days in advance to get these pies! The crab flavor is distinct and well balanced by the dill and lemon. The root's pickled walnuts are a wonderful surprise that contrast with the texture of the mushrooms. The pizza crusts really soak up all the cheesiness and the edges are delightfully crispy. (These pizzas also reheated really well in the air fryer.) Pickup was easy, and my pizzas were ready on time. I went online and placed my order on 8/3/23 and the first available date to get a pizza was 10/4/23!!! So I ordered and PAID FOR THE PIZZA but didn't actually get it until TWO MONTHS LATER!!! Isn't that crazy? There are no Moto Pizza restaurants near me, and this location was over an hour drive each way! I arrived 10 minutes early for my 5:15pm scheduled pick up time and was told my pizza was in the oven but it would be ready in 10 minutes (and it was). The pizza was $22 and is very small (4 slices). It is a deep dish pizza with VERY UNIQUE flavors. I ordered "The Pig" and loved it! High quality ingredients with generous portions. I was impressed with the red and green sauces on the pizza. Sauce flavor was different than anything I had tried before and the flavor combos worked PERFECTLY together! These people really know how to make a great pizza! This location is actually a SMALL HOUSE and has outdoor seating only. As a result they can't sell alcohol and do not let you bring your own. If you want a memorable and unique pizza this place is hard to beat. However plan ahead as you can't just walk up and buy a pizza whenever you want one. read more

So, waiting for three months for pizza sounds ridiculous but hear me out. First of all, I've met Lee at T-Mobile Park at their Moto Pizza Stand near section 314. He is so energetic and super duper nice! They only serve a few of what they offer at their stand alone restaurants and the lines get really really long but so worth it. The storefront in West Seattle offers pizzas like Mr.Pig, Beef Adobo, seafood pizzas like the Crab, Shrimp, and Clam Chowdah. They also have vegitarian options as well. I've tried almost all of them and I don't recommend the shrimp pizza. It didn't sit well with me and had to toss it. Broke my heart. I'm not sure if it was the sauces or what but that was disappointing because these pizzas aint cheap. Crab was ok, Mr. Pig was good, and so was the Beef adobo but what's lacking is toppings. There isn't enough of the protein but there's too much sauce instead. I would stick to the cheese, pepperoni, Kiss'd, and Root. I'm glad I tried the others but they were too saucy and not enough toppings. The pickup window is super handy and the outdoor seating area is super cute, tables are equipped with umbrellas, it's a nice area to hang out when it's sunny outside (unless you like eating pizza in the rain). Overall, I love the cheesy crispy crust, the sourdough dough is just perfection. So soft yet sturdy! I will keep coming back for sure. read more

Nice spot in West Seattle. First time getting pizza from here and had to wait 2-3 months. More description to go on the three pizzas we got, but to put it simply, it's good but might not be worth the long wait to pick up your order. I think the long wait really intensified the hype and when we ate it, it was good but our expectations were too high. Crab: Unfortunately the most disappointing. Since it's deep dish we knew there would be more breading, but with the limited amount of crab it really felt like we didn't get our money's worth considering we mostly tasted dough. Kissd: A "normal" type of pizza with the usual toppings we can get elsewhere, with the exception being quality ingredients making it shine. Really good and definitely a traditional style pizza favorite. Chowdah: The highlight of the night. The flavors on this was so insane and oooooooooooo it was so good. Has bacon, clam, chili sauce (so good), and sauce. Wish there were some more clams but still totally out of this world awesome.
