The cars were ok, can't expect much from a lower end car dealer. We sat down with the guy who goes over all the numbers Alberto. I wanted to test drive because I feel it's important to get the feel of the car before we invest any type of monetary decisions. Especially because of the different ranges of cars we were looking at one luxury and the other a work truck. As soon as we sat down we got a big narrative about how they are expanding and that they don't really need to sell a car to us because they make millions a month. Anyhow the guy also explained to us that you "CANNOT TEST DRIVE ANYWHERE, AT ANY DEALERSHIP", until you agree on how much you want to buy the car for. That caught my attention because we just came from a different dealership and they let us test drive no problem. I had mentioned that to the rep., and he said "I'm not here to argue". I had no intention to argue, I simply just wanted the truth. You can't go around lying to your potential clients like they live under a rock and don't know what 1+1 equals. If I'm going to invest cash and buy a car outright I want to check and test drive. I don't need a "full experience", I was just asking for the basic concepts. Anyhow needless to say, we left. Not buying a car here. Experience was mediocre. Thank you for your reply. I fully understand that dealerships need to make a reasonable profit and that pricing negotiations are part of doing business. My offer was simply a starting point based on my own market research and comparable values. Negotiation is not personal it's business, and I respect that. What I do want to clarify is the sequence of events regarding the test drive. Under standard California dealership practices including verification of a valid driver's license pursuant to the California Vehicle Code §12500 and routine documentation procedures test drives are typically offered as part of the normal evaluation process once a customer expresses interest. In my case, the opportunity to test drive the vehicle was not meaningfully presented until I was already leaving the dealership. By that point, the interaction had shifted almost entirely to pricing. From a buyer's standpoint, it is difficult to align on value whether referencing KBB or any other pricing guide without first being able to evaluate the vehicle through a proper test drive. You mentioned my offer of $20,000 on a $41,000 vehicle. Of course, if a dealership asks a customer what they are willing to pay before the vehicle is fully evaluated, the number may reflect a more cautious position. A test drive and thorough review often help narrow that gap because it allows the buyer to assess condition, performance, and overall value firsthand. Regarding paying cash, I did not expect that payment method alone required a discount. I simply stated that I was prepared to purchase immediately if we could come to terms. I'm not attempting to present an incomplete version of events only my genuine experience as it occurred. I wish your dealership well and hope future interactions with customers begin with the opportunity to evaluate the vehicle before focusing heavily on price.

I gotta say - this was a pretty seamless and straight-forward experience - something which is unusual and rare when buying a used car. Here's what really stood out to me from start to finish: - Greg was quick to respond to my initial text - We arranged a time to meet at his lot and when I showed up 10 minutes early, he was already there. Thanks for being early and not making me wait around on my lunch break. Appreciate you for that big time. - When it came time to deal, we had some negotiation, but it was not high pressure. He was informative and knew the vehicle and showed me how some of the storage and seats flipped up for loading. Very professional, good attitude. - We agreed on a price and sat down to sign paperwork. Wow, this is probably the fastest and easiest car buying paperwork I've ever filled out. He was very organized and presented the paperwork thoroughly and really didn't waste any time. The paperwork exercise literally took 15 minutes total, although he didn't seem rushed, just organized. What a time saver! Sometimes you don't realize how valuable your time is until someone works efficiently like this and it takes much less time than you expected. -I've had the car for a day now and there have been no surprises. I knew a bit about this model car before the purchase and it has lived up to my expectation. The car drives great and is in EXCELLENT condition for being a 100k mile car. It's just what I was looking for and I'm glad we could do a deal. It was very nice to meet you and a big thanks for making everything so smooth and easy!

I dropped off my vehicle for a 30k-mile service and recall repairs on 5/21/26. They had a week to order the necessary parts, yet upon arrival, I was told nothing was in stock and that the work would take two days. I accepted a loaner vehicle, expecting a professional level of communication. It has now been two days past the promised completion date, and I have heard absolutely nothing. My attempts to resolve this have been met with total silence: My Service Advisor has ignored all my emails, text messages, and voicemails. The service department's phone line is practically non-functional; calls are immediately dropped without even allowing me to leave a voicemail. Automated "contact" forms on their website have resulted only in useless, generic replies. I am currently without my vehicle, and the dealership has effectively cut off all communication. I have just escalated my case to Toyota Corporate. It is unacceptable that a Toyota-certified service center treats its customers with such total disregard. If you value your time, your vehicle, and your sanity, do not bring your car here. You will be left in the dark with no status updates and no way to reach anyone. Steer clear of Stevens Creek Toyota. [Edit] I am updating my previous review as the situation at Stevens Creek Toyota has escalated from poor communication to deceptive service practices. Following my previous report, I escalated the matter to Toyota Corporate. Only then did the dealership suddenly become responsive, promising that my safety recall repairs were "COMPLETE" and issuing an invoice to that effect on 5/29/26. However, I subsequently received official confirmation from Toyota Corporate that these recall repairs were NOT performed at all and remain outstanding in their master database. The dealership provided me with a document falsely claiming the work was finished, while the manufacturer's records show otherwise. This is not just a communication failure; it is a serious issue regarding vehicle safety and the integrity of service records. If you bring your car here, do not trust their invoices. Even if they claim your car is fixed, you must verify your VIN status on the official Toyota recall website. I am currently demanding an official explanation from the General Manager and reporting this to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Avoid this service center if you value your safety and honesty in service.

Over the past few months, my son and I searched for affordable used cars, test-drove cars, shopped around for a good trade-in price for the minivan, and even posted the minivan on Marketplace. Yesterday, as I drove off the High Street bridge and returned home to Alameda, instead of turning left, I drove straight to Diamond Auto's lot. I recognized my son's dream car by the enormous spoiler on the back. I took it for a test drive. I sat with Alex to discuss the price. Today, my son and I test drove the car. We sat with Alex to discuss the price and the warranty (3-months, which isn't much, but it's 3-months longer than any other warranty we were offered). We came to an agreement. I gave Alex the keys to my beloved minivan (which is now for sale, by the way), a lump sum on my credit card, and drove away in a sporty sedan. It wasn't just that we found the right car at the right price today. We found the right salesperson. Alex is supporting the local community as well as his own family. He negotiates directly and clearly. He speaks respectfully to middle-aged women and teenage kids. No gimmicks. No pressure. No confusing equations. Tell him what you need, and he'll tell you what he needs. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, no pressure. I enjoyed doing business with him.

Their website made it easy to narrow our choices down to three cars before we even arrived, which helped take a lot of stress out of the process. When we got to the lot, the atmosphere immediately felt comfortable. Someone greeted us, let us know he was available if we had questions, and then gave us time to look around on our own. The lot was packed with cars, but the team cheerfully moved vehicles around so we could compare our options. They showed us practical features you don't always see on a spec sheet, like trunk space, rear AC vent locations, and USB ports, which really helped us eliminate some options. We test drove two cars, reviewed their deals, and met with Alex, who gave us his card. When we mentioned we wanted to look at other options they were completely understanding and didn't pressure us or ask for our contact information. We stopped by the nearby Toyota dealership since our old car was a Toyota, but the prices there were noticeably higher, even for used models. Two days later, we returned to Diamond Auto to try one more car. Alex even let us take it home to make sure it could handle our daughters' softball gear and our camping equipment. That extra step made a big difference. Once we decided it was the right fit, the financing process was quick and easy. We grabbed bagels next door while the paperwork was prepared, and less than an hour later we were driving home in our new car. It's been a month since we made our purchase and the car has been running great! We event took a road trip from Alameda to Portland and back. We are still thrilled with our purchase and will definitely return to Diamond Auto in the future!

Both experiences were delightful, stress free (who would associate stress-free when you buy a car?) and quick. No hassle car buying - that should be his business's title. He helped us narrow down the list of cars we were looking at and make a decision that worked for us. He also scheduled all the test drives, negotiated the prices, and pointed us to a specific person at the dealership, a complete VIP experience. He did the same for our friends just this week, they bought a great car in a great condition, he negotiated the price down and steered them away from less desirable options. My friend was nervous (just like I was before ) because the process of buying a car is stressful. But after they got into the dealership and the car was waiting for them, they test drove and bought the car. My friend said: who would have thought that I can enjoy buying a car! And that's all thanks to Jeremy. Believe me I'm not hyping him up, he is professional, kind and customer centric. Thank you Jeremy!
