I gotta say - this was a pretty seamless and straight-forward experience - something which is unusual and rare when buying a used car. Here's what really stood out to me from start to finish: - Greg was quick to respond to my initial text - We arranged a time to meet at his lot and when I showed up 10 minutes early, he was already there. Thanks for being early and not making me wait around on my lunch break. Appreciate you for that big time. - When it came time to deal, we had some negotiation, but it was not high pressure. He was informative and knew the vehicle and showed me how some of the storage and seats flipped up for loading. Very professional, good attitude. - We agreed on a price and sat down to sign paperwork. Wow, this is probably the fastest and easiest car buying paperwork I've ever filled out. He was very organized and presented the paperwork thoroughly and really didn't waste any time. The paperwork exercise literally took 15 minutes total, although he didn't seem rushed, just organized. What a time saver! Sometimes you don't realize how valuable your time is until someone works efficiently like this and it takes much less time than you expected. -I've had the car for a day now and there have been no surprises. This review is NOT ABOUT THIS BUSINESS, but about the Russian seller Yuri who used to work here before. Now he works independently at the same address, so don't confuse him with the business! Almost a year ago we bought a car from him. Before buying it we inquired if there were any severe issues with the car that we had to be prepared for and he assured us that there were none and even specifically pointed out that the timing belt was exchanged recently. Very soon after we bought the car (wihin less than two weeks) the CEL (check engine light) showed up. Camshaft solenoid was exchanged. 2 weeks later another CEL. Exhaust camshaft pulley. These two repairs together were $1000. It is pretty obvious that the problems were there before, and that Yuri had simply cleared the CEL code before showing us the car - it takes a few days to weeks for the same code to trigger another CEL, so we never knew. Also, the mechanic pointed out that the timing belt had to be exchanged, since it obviously was very far from new, most likely original. Another $1000 incl labor. And what really pissed us off is that Yuri explicitly stated that the belt was new. That's not just a money issue, but a safety issue as well. In addition, Yuri was not helpful at all and we had to insist on reading the whole contract before signing it. He just kept saying "It's a standard contract, everybody knows it, you are wasting my time." His trick seems to be to advertise the car at a higher price and then sell it quite a bit lower - in our case advertisement was at $5800, and he offered it to us for $5000. Incl tax and fees, this comes up to just about $5800 in the end, and he gets what he wants. Don't deal with this guy. Even if you find out some of his deceptions, there will certainly be others you don't notice. read more

This place is basically just a parking lot that these guys rent out to sell cars at. I called up the guy to come check out a couple of Mazda Protege5s that he has and he told me to meet him there. I forgot what his name was, but he has a thick Russian accent. Upon meeting him there, I could tell that this isn't going to be a pleasant experience. I'm in the market for a used 5-7k car for the past few weeks so I've met plenty of used car dealers and just plain Joes selling their car. For the most part, they were all pretty friendly. This Russian guy was pretty confrontational at the first handshake and seemed like he was pissed that we had to meet up for this car. I check out the first Protege5 he has. Pretty nice exterior, engine sounds good, but it was a bit low. I asked the guy if this was normal and he said yes all the Protege5 cars are low. Sure alright. I asked to see the carfax (which he said in his listing that he had), he looked at me for 10sec and asked, "do you not trust me?" Uhhh, I have to do my due diligence before I buy a car buddy. He pulls up the Carfax and sure enough, it says the car has its springs changed to make it lower so it wasn't originally like this. I point this out to him, but I get no response other than a grunt. I checked out his second Protege5 and sure enough the car can't start and needs a jump. He said "eh, it has just been outside for too long" Uhhh, no, just because a car is outside for too long does not cause it to not start. Once he jumped it, I tried to start the thing again and I can hear the audible clicks on the starter that is a harbinger of a starter problem. He asks me if I'm interested and I tell him that these cars won't work out for me and I thank him for his time. I put my hand out to shake his and he looks at me with a disgusted face and my hand for 20 seconds straight and the while I'm uncomfortably wondering if something is going to go down. But no, without another word, he turns his back on me and walks away. Come on man, you sell used cars, you can't act this way to people. Not everyone who looks at your cars are going to buy it. If I was going to buy a 10+ year old car from you, I have to be able to trust what you say about the car. Nothing that this guy did made me trust him and he only reinforced the notion that used car salesman are dishonest people. Maybe the other guys here are better as the reviews say, but if you get the Russian dude who is dressed like he is about to take his family out to Disneyland, be very wary of him. read more

Went to check out a Honda. After arriving, Greg said the car can't be started without jumping it. Did not mention that at all when I called. Checked all over the car and definitely looks in worse shape compared to the picture. Lots of scratches, dents, and even failed clear coat. After test drive wanted to talk to Greg about the price. He was rude and dishonest. Before setting up the test drive I asked for carfax, he only screenshot parts of it. Seems like he's hiding something. After I search the car history, found out car was sold at auction to him for $3800, he's asking for $6500. I would gladly pay him that if the car is im good condition, but after checking out the car in person and plus his rude attitude. I'd be surprise anyone would pay him what he's asking for. Hunting for a reliable hybrid and I found it. Called Greg Friday when I saw a Toyota Highlander hybrid for a reasonable price. I offered him a little more than half in cash. Of course he said no. The next day, the person who would buy my car and I decided to pay him a visit after the first two other cars I saw. He had a Honda Civic Hybrid in "Like New" condition with 153k miles with a new battery purchased at 104k. It was incredibly clean and ran very well. Sold. Greg was incredibly professional, friendly and willing to haggle. We got a great car at a good price. He was very knowledgeable and flexible.
