I ordered a medium pepperoni and jalapeño pizza! Service was very friendly and the pizza was extremely delicious! Restaurant was clean as well. I did have two minor flaws. First the pizza is extremely expensive- delicious but pricey- FYI the medium 2 toppings pizza was $27 my second gripe was they have lunch buffet and it looked extremely boring. They had 3 very old looking pizzas and a small basic salad bar, the price is only $12 but just a heads up it's just old pizza and a basic salad bar! My husband And I walked in to get buffet at Mountain Mike for lunch and we walked in about 1:40 and we advised that we just wanted the buffet...and A tall gentlemen that worked there came up to us asked what kind of pizza we wanted and we said we will just take the combo and pepperoni that was still under the pizza warmer and he said oh no that's been sitting there for 30min We will make you a fresh one and we said really... he Said yes of course I will make 1/2 combo and 1/2 pepperoni and we said Ok so we got his name was Herman he said we want customers to be happy and get fresh ingredients which the pizza was delicious, salad bar was fresh and Herman even brought us potatoe wedges...thank you Herman we will diffently be back. My first visit to M Mike's and the pizzas were perfect. I ordered the Chicken and White sauce and All Meat red sauce pizzas(I don't know the official names.). Lots of flavor and meat, great staff too! The only thing I wish was different was the Mountain Fries. My were lukewarm but they were still good. While on my way to my first choice of restaurant I changed my mind and decided to go for Mountain Mike's pizza because I remember I liked going as a child. The Mountain Mike's in the city I was born in had the only and best popped out, crispy to the bite, pepperoni. I arrived to this establishment with my bf and the girl at the counter looked like she was having an awful day. She went back and forth trying to decide whether to greet us at the cashier or not. She ended up walking to the cashier and just stared off into the establishment. We weren't sure whether to approach her but confidently decided to and all she said was "anything else?..... anything else?". Weird encounter, I hope she had a better day. The reason why I'm giving such a poor review is because of the sad order of wedges we received. We arrived home and noticed how the order lacked. $8.99 for these half full order!?! Our pizza lacked sauce, you could taste so much of the cheese and bread. Better to have ordered the cheese sticks but the reviews say the workers here can't properly cook an order of cheese sticks either. The only positive comment I have is that I was pleased with them not being stingy with the pepperoni. How have they been in business all these years?? Crazy. Exceptional service! Mol welcomed me and every other customer into the restaurant with attentiveness and professionalism. He is definitely setting a standard of excellence for his staff to follow, and for competitors to strive for. It was about 8:15pm when I placed my order, so I was fearful of what type of service and food quality we would receive. Mol and staff were communicative about the status of my order and warmly invited me into the restaurant with a sincerity that just cannot be faked. Don't know why I go back to this location. I go online, look up coupons for Bakersfield. See a $5 off mountain size. Call place order. Give coupon number to guy on phone. He says it's not working, but if I bring in coupon they will honor it. I send my boy to pick it up the pizza, they won't honor the coupon. I ordered garlic cheese breadsticks. I've ordered here before, I know the difference between their garlic cheese bread and garlic cheese breadsticks. The guy on phone even asked do I want ranch or marinara with that. You don't get that option for garlic cheese bread. What did they give my boy? The wrong one. Garlic cheese bread instead of what I ordered. Stopped by for the 1st time since i heard pizza is Good and i had a brother visiting from out of town. The place is clean and lots of parking which is a plus. Sign up on their website you will get a coupon emailed to you 20% off your order. The pizza is pretty good the wings are delicious. We ordered chicken and wedges and the chicken looked and tasted like it had been cooked more than once. I didnt want to complain since we were already hungry and my brother had drove 3 hours and stopped by. I called here to order pizza to have it delivered to our kids house because we were going over for pizza and it was our treat and I wanted to handle the cost and the hassle of ordering and having it delivered. So I get the info of what they like and where they order from. So I go online to see the menu so I could see what other options they had since the kids just like pepperoni and the sizes too. Ok they had the usual suspects pizza that come in small, medium, large and what I would suspect they consider XL 20". All different styles, but the kids are basic pepperoni eaters. So I call and tell the young gal on the phone that I wanted to order the pizza to be delivered to my kids house and pay for it to be delivered at 6pm, this is 3pm. First she asks the address to see if they deliver to this address, which I knew they did because I did my homework and asked the kids where they order from, duh. So after being on hold for 10 minutes she confirmed they could take the order. I told her I've never ordered from them before but my kids had and I knew that that address had been delivered to before. I opted for a XL pepperoni and an XL 4 topping pizza and when she said it would be $61 and some change I wanted her to tell me what I ordered again? I figured for that price I'll take them to a restaurant. She said I was getting a two times pepperoni and a XL 4 topping. I said I didn't need 3 pizzas just give me the two pepperoni since how she explained it to me I was taking it as I was getting 2 pepperoni pizzas. So she said ok then it's $36 and some change and it will be there at 6pm. Ok fine. She took my credit card # didn't ask for a phone # said it would be there at 6pm. So we get to my kids at around 5:45 and lo a behold a door knock at 6pm and what to my eyes one pizza. It was a very large pizza but one pizza. Ok now it's Christmas pizza night with the kids and I'm sitting here with one pizza. I think the people on the phone need to be a little better trained on how they communicate to their customers. First off $36.00 for one XL pepperoni pizza was a total rip off I would of stopped and got pizza where we usually order where it is just as good and you get more for the money. It was big and had an abundance of pepperoni but not nearly enough for a price tag of $36 ouch! I don't think their pizza was superior enough to be as over priced as it is was. Uh oh... I got my second pizza from them today. Same toppings, and great delivery service (he was a really nice guy). Unfortunately the pizza wasn't as good. It wasn't cooked long enough or something, and the crust wasn't crisp, it was soggy and tasted and looked doughy in the center. The edges kind of tasted like Digiorno.. Not so good and I'm not so sold now. I'm kinda sad and I've removed two stars. 11/01/14 I posted this review for the previous place not knowing it had changed hands. Wow, this was good pizza. I got delivery so I can't comment on the restaurant but the pizza was great. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of toppings! This pizza was loaded. I recently threw a baby shower in their banquet room and it worked perfectly. The entire place is so nice and CLEAN with a large open floor plan. The cashier told me the specials right away and they were big money savers. Mountain mikes pizza in general is my favorite, their specialties pizzas are the best. The salad bar was really fresh and clean too. There are also more TVs for sports than I've ever seen in another pizza place before, and a large gaming room. I'd say it's hands down the nicest pizza place in Kern County. read more

We called ahead to have our pizza ready and the pizza was made very prompt and the service was fair and friendly, which was a plus. The gluten-free options are great, which is why we usually order from the Brimhall location for delivery. This location was not too bad. They had a jukebox and a pool table, which are always a plus. I tried the small basketball hoop game. It was fun. But, as I grabbed one of balls my nail was cut by something sharp. Not safe for kiddos... The biggest downside of this pizza is the price for the pizza and they make you pay for a side of ranch. Yes, I wanted a side of ranch. My husband was a little more upset than I was. The price for a small 2 topping GF pizza, large meat lovers, and one pitcher was around 50 bucks. I was the only one who wanted ranch, so it was upsetting to him that they couldn't just give a free one.
