At that price, I was a little skeptical about the food. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza, so no issues with parking. Since you pre pay before being seated, the line was long and slow with only one cashier available. The dining room is spacious with a variety of options, including sushi, American, Asian, fruit, salad, dessert and a large Mongolian stir-fry station where you choose your own ingredients and have them cooked to order. The sushi station was the most popular with nigiri and rolls. The salmon nigiri disappeared within a minute of being restocked, so timing is everything if that's what you're after. Considering the price, I wasn't expecting high quality, but I was surprised of the options available. The staff did great clearing plates promptly throughout the meal. For an AYCE buffet that costs less than fast food meals, it's a great deal for families.

I don't think these updates have caught on yet because those premium items aren't attacked like donuts at a police department. At most buffets, you see people walking away with stacked plates with none left for you when you're third in line. This place usually keeps a steady supply. The only thing that sucks is the single serve ice cream. I know it's more sanitary, but soft serve and scooped ice cream would really put that place in the next tier up for Asian buffets.

The servers are all very friendly and don't seem to forget about clearing plates or taking drink orders which I did really appreciate so I hope they never change that and thank you for providing great service. The ambiance is decent as well. Clean with a nice mural of the Great Wall in the back where larger parties are sat. The bathroom doors also have cool murals on them of a samurai for men and a lovely painting of a woman at a temple.

The lunch price is hard to beat, what a value for $30 per person. The quality of the meat is top notch for the price. That's why they emphasize its Premium AYCE. Kimchi stew was nice and spicy, and steamed egg was perfectly cooked. There were a lot of banchan dishes and there were free refills. Salad is on the side to balance out the meat. A lot of people celebrate their birthdays at the restaurant, they put a candle on then complimentary ice cream everyone gets and you can choose a song to play as they bring out the dessert. Very fun vibe. During lunch when it's not that busy, you don't feel pressured to finish eating in 90 min. But wait times can get over 3 hours for dinner time if you arrive later.

5 Stars for Food & Service, 1 Star for Atmosphere This was my first time visiting Mountain Mike's in Brea, and while the food and customer service were fantastic, the experience was ruined by the heat. The AC was completely out during a summer heatwave, making it unbearable inside. Even though it was around 82°F outside, it felt like well over 100°F inside with zero air circulation. I wanted to enjoy the lunch buffet, but I couldn't stay inside for more than 5 minutes before dripping sweat. I ended up having to eat outside just to be able to breathe comfortably. It's wild that a major franchise allows a location to stay open for dine in under these conditions it shows a complete disregard for customer comfort and the poor employees who have to work full shifts in that heat. Shoutout to the staff for doing a great job despite the awful conditions, but I won't be returning anytime soon. read more

I recently visited Mountain Mike's Pizzeria in Brea and I have to say, I was blown away by the quality of their pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce had just the right amount of tang, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I decided to try the lunch buffet today, and oh my, what a pleasant surprise! For just $13.99 you get all you can eat pizza, a fresh salad, and even a drink such a wonderful deal these days. It was a busy Friday night for them since it was Halloween the girl at the front was very nice she provided great service and would check in the kitchen to give me updates about my pizza. Never had their lunch sandwiches b4. i had to make note of my order I placed in the restaurant on a Thursday 07.30.26 Came during lunch. An associate young girl help took my order. The associate asked if I'd like "ranch" with my sandwich, assuming it's included since she asked and didn't say any other indication that it'll be an extra charge for the ranch. After I responded "Sure" I also asked for jalapeños. I ordered the half dozen bagel with a container of the strawberry cream cheese. When I got home. i had the Turkey sandwich shared among the other half with my daughter. After we were finished with lunch. My daughter asked for the Fresh baked apples. Realize my meal didn't come with the fresh baked apples that's suppose to be included w the combo. I was ok with that. TIL i went and look over my receipt. I saw I was charge for the Ranch and Jalapeños.
