Great pizza! Stopped in part way through a roadtrip. Wish we lived closer, we would be here more often!

We were on our way to a meeting and ordered pizza for our group. We always enjoy the pizza from Gina Maria's--it's very tasty, properly cooked, doesn't take too long, and the people there are always friendly. That said, the price of pizza has really jumped over the years, but I understand that's the case pretty much everywhere. But when you spend almost $70 on three pizzas and ask for a few cups of ranch, only to be charged extra for them...give me a break. How much can those little cups of ranch actually cost--20 or 25 cents each? It's a small thing, but unfortunately, I left with a bad taste in my mouth, no matter how good the pizza was. Been here a couple times now, decent pizza spot if you are looking to get away from the big names. The pizza is decent, although looking at some of the reviews and photos here, I would say I may have missed out on their better nights. Their meatball sub was a complete let down for me. It seemed like it was rushed when being put together, the meatballs had no flavor, and it just didn't satisfy. The price was steep. The staff is always friendly. I can tell they get a lot of regulars, but they make sure to take care of the fresh faces too. They don't skip a beat on the quality of service to their customers. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I came here with my husband on New Year's Eve and was delighted by the friendly service, calm atmosphere, and food quality.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband and I ordered garlic knots, buffalo wings, and a medium pizza to share. My husband got a huckleberry berry and I got a coke. My coke was okay, it tasted like a fountain soda. My husband said the huckleberry beer was great and that he enjoyed it. The garlic knots were the first to arrive at our table and they were DELICIOUS. I loved that they looked like little knots. They were soft and full of that garlicy flavor. I loved that you get a side of marinara that was warm and was perfect for dipping. I will be back for these knots because they were the best I've ever had. The wings were not that great in my opinion, they lacked sauce and the skin was very chewy. I am not sure if the wings are fried or baked but I definitely think they needed to be a little crispier. The pizza was phenomenal. I love a thick crust and Gina Maria's did not disappoint. I loved the sauce they put on but do wish it was a little warmer. I think they put the perfect amount of cheese. I like the chicken on my pizza as it was cooked well and I really loved the amount of jalapeños they added onto my pizza. Overall, I loved Gina Marias. I think the entire time we ate, the door kept opening with people picking up their orders - that really shows how much people in the area love it. I will be back. read more

As others have mentioned, the pizza I got was as if the ingredients were just tossed on top, the quality of the sausage was bad and that included the sausage we added to the spaghetti. Spaghetti and meatballs was way over priced and very disappointing. $13 just for the pasta. Added meat sauce. $3. It was a bit of crumpled up hamburger meat with what tasted like aunt's with garlic Added. Next $5 for 2 dry meatballs. My favorite pizzeria all around in the Placentia and Fullerton area. They have great pizza and some of the best chicken wings around where their chicken does not taste genetically modified or cloned. The crew at this establishment know how to make great good and it's great quality. read more

Sometimes I think all it takes for a pizzeria to be great in my eyes is to offere roasted garlic or garlic cloves as options for toppings. So many of their pizza brethren skimp out and used minced garlic or jarlic. I mean--it's alright, but nothing beats the exhilaration and near ecstasy when a heap of roasted garlic gloves is just piled atop a well-crafted pie. That's what Gina Maria's does finely. My pie was amazingly tasty and satisfying. Every bite brought more garlic than I knew what to do with and every chew reinforced that the ratio of crust to sauce to cheese was impeccable beneath the invasion of garlic. It was like a party of tastes in my mouth and garlic was the host. Also, the staff couldn't have been nicer. Everyone was just so damn friendly. You couldn't have found servers more on the ball and present in every exchange of dialogue. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the spot too. It had ample table space without being too loud. It had lots of televisions for sports--like watching Kentucky trounce their opponent in the first round of March Madness. Gina Maria's has been around for a while and I can't believe I've not come in before! Located in a strip mall off of Placentia & Yorba Linda Bl, it's easy to spot and easy to get to. The inside offers booth or table seating. Standard decor, but we're here for the food, right?! First off, we were warmly greeted as we came in and could sit wherever we wanted. There was only one gal serving, but she was friendly, helpful in answering questions, and super efficient at checking on us. My friend and I shared a large meatball sandwich and an antipasto salad. Both were fantastic, especially the salad. The sandwich hit the spot and the salad ~ wow ~ definitely crave-worthy! Never before have I wanted to come back to a restaurant for a salad until now!! Even sharing, there was still plenty leftover for us to take home. Looking forward to coming back because the whole experience was that enjoyable. Ordered a pizza from here before as take out and it was good. Order was right. Cooked how I ordered it. No issues and good quality pizza. Came in 6/14/26 to dine in, order a beer and TRIED to order a calzone and add a 4th topping and was told they don't and can't do that. I told them I'd pay the extra charge for the extra topping and still no. This bothered so I just paid for my drink and left without order food. Cant say I'll be back again. This is the type of restaurant when you aren't in the mood for Italian food, it completely changes your mind afterwards and makes you go "wow... that was really delicious." I recommend the simplicity of the dinner salad over the antipasto salad. My order was incorrect but putting that to the side, food was good. I would suggest ordering extra sauce and extra cheese (personal preference). Also, I ordered a head of time and it was coming out hot when I got there so kudos on that. I really hate to have to write this review. We have been going to Gina Maria's for years!!!! So I really wanted to like our dinner, but our recent experience was disappointing. We placed an order, picked it up, and drove all the way home--only to find out they gave us the wrong food. Mistakes happen, sure, but what really bothered us was how it was handled. We had to drive all the way back to get the correct order, they even checked our receipt even though we brought the wrong sandwich with us. Really!!! And not once did anyone apologize. No "sorry for the inconvenience,"not even a hint of concern. It felt like they didn't care at all, that they gave us the wrong food, as if it was no big deal that we wasted our time and gas. A little empathy goes a long way in customer service, especially when your restaurant was empty! We weren't expecting a grand gesture, but some acknowledgment would've made a huge difference. We went here in a Monday night and it was not busy but also not packed. The service was definitely on the slow side. It took a while to receive our food. The portion sizes were a good balance to price. The taste however was just mediocre. I was expecting the pasta to be more saucy, but it was not. The time it took to get our food was ridiculous. Refills on drinks and water was super slow as well and apart from coming to cleanup our plates, we didn't get much coverage as to how our food was tasting or if we could get anything else. Need to update my review based on my second visit for lunch. This time, I ordered meatball on my lunch pizza (I specifically ordered the lunch pizza) and a beer. The meatball topping was nowhere near as good as the sausage. The texture and flavor was wrong and it was too salty. It had no detectable meat flavor so I assume they don't make their own. Sad if true. But what really bothered me was the check. I didn't get the 25% off. I told the very polite waiter about it and he said they don't have a 25% off lunch pizza special. I said I got it a couple weeks ago. He said he has never heard of it and they don't have it. I said I kept a picture of the receipt. He said they used to have a BOGO but "have never had a 25% off lunch special". I said I'll show you on your own Yelp page and proceeded to pull it up. I showed him and he removed 25% from the price of my pizza but what a hassle. And he was so sure of himself until I proved him wrong. Other, less stubborn customers would have just paid it and never returned. So that's what happens and could be why the dining room is still empty at lunch. This only has to happen a few times a week before people abandon a business completely. Training is so important and keeping employees aware of all promotions so that customers don't feel like they have to prove anything to take advantage of them is part of it. read more

Gina Maria's is one of the better locally owned pizza spots in the area- credit to Yelp for helping me find this spot! After a couple visits here- I would recommend any of the standard pizza with well done crust (by default the crust is a bit soft/chewy) and the garlic knots are a must have. Throw in an extra side of marinara too- it's quite delicious and very garlicky. This place saved the day during our recent Super Bowl party and most of the guests enjoyed the XL pizza and knots.
