Came in for a quick lunch. Pizza on buffet was old so I waited. Several other people came in and seemed to share the same feelings toward the old pizza as they passed on it and chose salad instead. I decided to remove some of the old pizza in hopes that the staff might replace. As I was hovering near the empty pizza buffet, an employee noticed. He apologized and explained that he had not noticed the condition (note: the pizza is next to the cash register where he was accepting payment for said "buffet"). I placed my order at 5:56pm on a Thursday. The "promise time" on my order is 6:41pm. Currently it's 7:00pm and I called the restaurant to inquire. The restaurant says there is still at least another 20 minutes before the food will be delivered, and that the website or email confirmation are not accurate. If this is the case, why would I order from Mountain Mike's in the future? I like the quality of Mountain Mike's from past experience but this makes me want to take my business elsewhere. :( read more

Mountain Mike's is probably my favorite pizza chain in the area. It's a bit pricier than the big national chains but the quality makes up for it, and there's usually a deal or coupon you can apply. The only problem with this location is the service. In store, many of the workers are professional and polite but one delivery guy in particular is very rude. He was yelling at us to get out of the way when we were trying to park in the parking lot (couldn't move anyways because the car in front was backing into a space). I've ordered delivery from this particular Mountain Mike's a handful of times and though the pizza is better in quality than most pizza chains, their delivery needs work!! The company I work at does pizza delivery every week at a specific time. In more recent pizza days, that time was 4:30PM. This Mountain Mike's decides 4:30 is either too early or too late for them. 1. Incident #1 - I placed an order for regular delivery time. I had left for the day, but was contacted close to 5PM that pizza still hasn't arrived. I call the restaurant to be notified that the driver was probably lost... So why didn't I get a call regarding the late delivery?? 2. Incident #2 - See incident 1, but this time I have placed the order for 4:15PM, assuming Mountain Mike's would be late anyway, so them being "late" would actually mean on time for us. Not the case! The driver was late yet again claiming to be lost, but with no phone call to confirm late delivery. 3. Incident #3 - This time, I thought I'd be clever and put an even earlier time of 4:10PM for on-time delivery at 4:30... well they came a little before 4PM. Wtf, mate?? I can't win with y'all!! This is our favorite Mountain Mike's location. We've been ordering pizza for delivery about 1-2 times per month during the pandemic. Online ordering is easy and the delivery drivers are safely wearing masks. Of course, the pizza is tasty. I like to throw it in the oven for a few mins to get extra crispy. (Pre-virus: Back when you could go out normally and eat together inside, this was our go-to place for extended family get-togethers. This Mountain Mike's pizza is my go to pizzeria and I have been coming here for years and some of the employees know me by now. There was only one employee here that day ( cos of the COVID-19 ) outbreak and of course everything was for pickup only. That didn't stop the cook from making me a great pizza though. It was everything I expect from this Mountain Mikes. Fresh, plentiful and generous quality ingredients, fast prep and cooking time, service with a smile and a great experience all around. They showed up at almost 5pm, the pizza was cold (AGAIN), soda was not warm but getting there and the delivery guy couldn't get the square to work for 10 minutes. Luckily, i had cash and after he tried 3 times to get the device to work...I figured, thats it. I appreciate that they gave me a 10% discount which accoubts for one of the stars. Honestly Pizza Guys is just as good, faster service. This store just jeeps letting me down with the 1.5 hr delivery, cold pizza and btw- STAY AWAY WEEKENDS. Well here I go again with another review of a pizza place. I have been coming to this particular Mountain Mike's on Hamilton Avenue for several years and this review is really overdue. I read the recent reviews (most of them are five stars) and I have to agree with them. When it comes to being customer-focused, politeness and a caring attitude this restaurant exceeds all my expectations. It is clean and the staff really seems to care. Now I did read some of the few one-star reviews with seem to focus on delivery and pickup. Since I do not use this restaurant for that I cannot comment. I have eaten during the lunch and dinner buffets and have come in at various times just ordering off the menu. What I really like is the salad because most buffets salads are not that fresh-this one always is! If you are looking for an excellent salad bar this is the place to go to. The cashier is always very kind, helpful and polite. As other reviews mentioned, this place is better than any other Mountain Mike's. I HIGHLY recommend this business. read more

But if ambiance is important to you, you're probably not going to Mountain Mike's. I live close by, so I usually order carry out. My family has been coming here for about 5 years now. One of the things that has made this a real gem, isn't the amazing pizza (although a bit pricey, you can take advantage of their deals and their lunch specials) but was honestly how we were treated. My son, loved coming here to play in the little arcade, and they even had a fundraiser here for his school. Jeff, the owner was often around to give my son a high five and the staff were always pleasant. This changed the other night when I had possibly the WORST customer service experience I've ever had with a lady named Pam, who apparently is Jeff's sister. I've worked in customer service for 20 years, and I can honestly say that I was a bit shocked at her tactics at handling my situation. Instead of apologizing, and offering to fix the problem with their HUGE security flaw in their system, she proceeded to tell me that she was doing me a favor, (more specifically a "Service"). Here's what happened; I called to order a pizza for my husband and children for Delivery. Pam sounded a bit irritable over the phone, nbd, we all have bad days. When I explained I would prefer to pay over the phone, I was told that was fine. She took my card info, the pizza was delivered, and my husband called me to tell me that my entire card number, including my expiration date, card billing zip code, AND card security code were all listed on the receipt that the driver had and was using his phone to enter that information into. Now, I get that this is probably a common practice with this company or even specific establishment, but..... it's also very risky and shouldn't be handled in this way. Quite honestly this was a bit of a shock to me, as other pizza places and delivery places don't do this. Naturally, as shocked and concerned as I was, I called to talk to the manager and got Pam again. After explaining my concerns, she kept cutting me off, talking over me and proceeded to tell me: "that's why we don't take cards over the phone, I did you a service!" I asked if I could speak with Jeff, she told me that he wasn't in, and that she was his sister, and that she didn't know what his schedule was like or know when he would be back in...Excuse me? Pam, I hope you're reading this, because that's completely rude and uncalled for. Please be careful when ordering food and paying over the phone. They won't advise you of the risk in their system, won't take accountability for not informing you, and will deflect their issue onto you, instead of taking actions to correct it. Their system is highly susceptible to identity theft. I was so upset at the end of my call and worried about the experience, that I called to cancel my card. Honestly, I'm planning on complaining to the Better Business Bureau. I hate writing terrible reviews, especially with a place I loved for so long. I hope this issue gets fixed Jeff, and I honestly hope your sister can learn to be more empathetic and take accountability. We came here for a birthday party. The room was reserved in a private room with see through windows. The room can hold around 40+ people and there was one tv. However, you can see the other tv's throughout the restaurant. The salad bar was clean and nicely stocked. Didn't try the pizza but it looked good. This location has a lot of foot traffic because of the location and I'm sure because of the sponsorship they give to the community. They have pictures of teams everywhere.
