I hate to do NEGATIVE reviews, however, this experience was a horrible one. I ordered at 6:15pm (online) order screen says 30-45 minutes for delivery. Order arrived at 7:48pm, the pizza was cold, and hard at this point, didn't seem fresh! I considered not complaining, but after I reviewed the receipt, the order was entered more than an hour before it was delivered. So not sure if it was sitting somewhere for over 30 minutes, or simply was forgotten. I decided to call the restaurant after realizing the state in which the pizza and garlic bread were when they arrived. Had to warmed thrm up in an air frier to help it be warm. I called the restaurant told the person who ordered, she took my name and number to have her manager reach out...over 3 weeks and no call! It wouldn't have been a huge issue, except when you spend over $50 least you can expect is your order to be delivered within 30-40 minutes! I would advice going to a different Mt. mikes if possible! read more

I've yet to have a bad experience from the C.V. Mountain Mike's. The food is always fresh and yummy, the order is always correct, and the customer service has always been pleasant. Tonight's meal was the absolute best! When the order was delivered I didn't realize right away that they had forgot to deliver our soda. So when I called, I just asked if they could refund the account. The lady on the phone was apologetic and said yes. About 10 minutes later we get a knock on the door and it was a delivery driver coming back with our soda! .... That was super cool! They didn't need to drive all the way back to our home just to deliver the soda, but they did! I haven't had such great customer service in years, especially these days. I love this Mountain Mike's!! Came here on a limb because we got a Mountain Mike's coupon for 15% off and didn't have high expectations for it because I have my favorite pizza spots, but needed to eat dinner. Decided to eat in on a Tuesday night; it was completely empty besides the 4 or 5 workers. What really surprised me about this location was that they have a few seats to the left when you walk in but as you go down a narrow hallway, you'll pass some coin game machines and further ahead are several long tables and an upstairs with plenty of seating to accommodate large parties. This place hosts a lot of local school/sport and adult team dinners and events. Seating is not an issue here - small or team size, they've got you covered. If you have small kids or enjoy claw or arcade machines, they have a variety to choose from at the back of the restaurant to play while you wait for your pizza near the salad buffet section. The pizza came out within 15-20 minutes. Each slice had a good topping proportion and tasted pretty yummy! I'm not usually a big crust person; however, the crust on this pizza had the right amount of softness and firmness and it wasn't too thick which was perfect for me. I have been using Mountain Mike's in Castro Valley for party orders for years. This time I used them for a 5th grade luncheon. I ordered 16 mountain sized pizzas to be delivered at 11:30. I didn't know if that would be possible with them opening at 11 but they made it happen! The pizzas were hot and delicious. The children loved it! I could not be happier. I made my order online the day before to make sure that they knew they were walking into a large order right at opening so I hope that helped. Delivery guy was very sweet and offered help. I placed an order at 4:05 and didn't get my pizza until 5:40... it was supposed to be here, at the latest 4:50. I called at 5:03 to ask about it and the guy told me it had been dispatched, it still took almost 45 minutes. Once I received my food the driver let me know that he gave my 2 liter soda to someone else but he did pay me back with his own money, I'd rather have my drink but he was apologetic. When we got home we served the food to our kids and guests after serving and started eating I realized there was a hair in my food and one of the kids bit into a raw piece of chicken!!! I arrived exactly at the time and was not greeted warmly, he checked on my order and said that the person was making it at the moment which should take another 7 minutes or so. My total was 27 bucks, which I thought was a little high for 2 basic items. They charged me for 2 orders of garlic bread and had them in the order. I told the cashier I only ordered one and: No response , just a stare, no apology or offer to remove the error. OK I'll take it, the family will eat them. I get to car and peek in the box to find over cooked, HARD garlic cheese bread! I called from car and they said they would make a new order. I asked how long because my family was hungry and it was getting late. They said "5 minutes". They brought it out and took the ruined order back.
