We got two pizzas: one pepperoni and one cheese pizza with sliced tomatoes on top. The pepperoni pizza was good and a crowd pleaser. However, the tomato pizza was raw sliced tomatoes placed on top of the baked pizza. Not as bad as I initially thought it'd be, but it was still jarring and unexpected. I was very disappointed that upon delivery of my order, the delivery person from the restaurant was not wearing a mask and instead had it on under his chin. My family & I are high risk for severe, possibly fatal complications from Covid, and we rely on restaurant personnel to be responsible and wear masks upon delivery. Placed my order at 4:46pm through the slice app with eta of 5:49pm - 6:10pm came around and nothing.. I called the store and they gave my order to another person and said they'll send someone in 20 minutes - 6:50pm rolled around nothing, called the store and asked if they can please have the delivery driver give me a call when he arrives so I can meet him downstairs and they stated that a Door Dash driver is now delivering my order. It is now 7:30pm and my Door Dash driver drove past my house and is now 30+ minutes away. This is inconvenient and poor service. The meat lovers pikes pizza is probably my favorite because it has a variety of meat like salami, ham, italian sausage, beef, and pepperoni. I got the medium size that is around $20 which is pretty worth cause they are decent slices but also heavy. I also got their cookie pizza which is pretty tasty, its not a soft chewy cookie so if you want a little bit of a crunch this is your dessert. Right now they have this mix and match soda deal thats $5 so you can get a 4 pack of 20 oz sodas. They have a carry out and delivery option with Uber Eats, Postmates, DoorDash, and Grub Hub. Our first time here and Honestly was the most bland, stale, and blah pizza I've ever had. It tasted like Chuck E. Cheese or 7-11 pizza. The crust was hard and dry. There was barely any sauce or cheese on It so the entire thing was dry and gross. We ordered a large cheese, a medium veggie and 6 wings and It came out to $55. What a waste of money. Dominos and Pizza Hut are WAY better then this place. I barely choked down one sliver/slice and couldn't take anymore. I ended up spitting out the last bite of the slice. So gross. We just order their Lg pepperoni and sausage pizza (ok and let's not forget that the pepperoni is the true Italian kind (it brought me back to my childhood when my dad "who's" Italian made our homemade pizzas" and the sausage,,,,, omg it's not from a bag where they put crumbles on your pizza... it's nice big pieces of fresh sausage... oh ya!!! Very disappointed with Mountain Mike's in Lake Forest. Went for the first time and only 1 customer was there, which was my first warning, then I ordered and knew why. My husband got 1 small pizza and bread sticks. It took almost 30 min! Hubby had to ask about our order, the guys asked his name again then went back and brought out our food. I ordered a LARGE McKinley online, pizza was burned, when my wife called to speak to a manager or supervisor she was told they were not there, my wife asked when will they be back and was told, "I do not know their schedule", then I tried calling back (twice within an hour) no one answers the call, seems to be ignoring our call since they have caller ID. The manager did call back the next morning to apologies, and offered send us a replacement, but who wants a replacement pizza a day or two later. This may have just been a one time issue, but I will have second thoughts before ordering from Mountain Mike's again. The online ordering starts glitching out 35mins. before closing, & then 30mins before closing online ordering isn't available. The rude sassy mouth girl that answered tells me they are not taking orders because they have to clean before closing. I asked, even if it's one pizza?
