Now a days with inflation where a pizza costs $20-$35 for a large (ugh!) to get 2 large pizzas is quite expensive but with Zpizza you can get gourmet pizzas buy one get one free which is the best value of any pizza place out there! I also really love their cookies - they have a yummy lemon white chocolate cookie that's amazing and my kids love the blue Cookie Monster cookie with chocolate chips, Oreo cookie pieces and marshmallows. My review is conflicted. We love going into Z Pizza MV for a slice and a drink and most of the time the people at the counter are great. The pizza is always tasty and its never crowded. They have a nice outside patio and great workers in the kitchen. However, the photo of the customer "service" employee featured in this review is the rudest person ever. We loathe walking thru the door when she's there. Clearly doesn't like her job. Doesn't greet you, smile make eye contact, nothing. You ask her a question and its attitude galore. She has her crap spread out all over the counter - notebooks, dirty money, cell phone, paperwork, its like her own personal office space exploded. Meanwhile the music playing features inappropriate lyrics and swear words. If you put someone up front to be customer-centric, this is an example of what not to do. We ordered the hot honey pepperoni per the recommendations of the other reviewers. I was able to get service quickly and the pizza crazy fast. If we sat down to eat, the ambiance would've been just as good at home for the comfort. We loved the flavor of the pizza because it was so unique! My only comment is a question that many pizzerias work to improve on, the crust at the end! Some do it well with seasoning, butter, stuffing... et cetera et cetera. I'll start with that I love Zpizza, not this location but the others. This one is sub standard in every way. My second time i here, I generally never write a review after only 1 time or if I am not able to experience again as a follow up. Both times, this time included same experience. Called the order in, super simple 1 topping extra large pizza, no problem we will have it 25 minutes, get to the store and pay, sit down to wait for it. 10 minutes later I see what looks like my pizza being made, ask if it is, told yes. This is now 41 minutes after I ordered. Pizza is fine, employees don't wear masks (half do half don't) the one making the food wears it over his chin and that's it. Super inconsistent, when I asked if it was my pizza just going in just got a reply "yep" didn't care now that it's more than double the promised completed time just to get in the oven. Avoid this one, or order and don't come in for twice the amount of time they tell you. The employees here could care less about how long it takes or any type of service provided. read more

Zpizza is fantastic, I've been eating their pizza for years and started eating their food at the original Laguna Beach location when I was a kid in the 90's. This score is only for the lack of reading on my order 50% of the time. I now live in Mission Viejo and have to order delivery from Zpizza through GrubHub because I'm just outside their delivery radius. I ask every time to leave the cheese off of my pizza because of my dairy allergy. 50% of the time I order, it's fine, they read the note and don't put cheese on my pizza. 50% of the time I get a pizza with cheese on it and have to get my food refunded. It takes 1-2 seconds to read the "no cheese, dairy allergy" not I add. If it was followed more often it would be appreciated. I just threw yet another Zpizza in the garbage as I could not eat it without getting sick. read more

I had to come on here and google and I had to email them on their website as well. I am so happy that zpizza Mission Viejo is back! The pizza and the subs are just absolutely my favorite, once in awhile I go for the pear arugula salad, its just right! The turkey sub is my lunch go to and the zbq or even the napoli pizza if I am coming back from the gym, I absolutely love the quality of the ingredients they use, my aunt is celiac and she can only eat in this location, I hope they make the quality of all the zpizza's just like Mission Viejo. My new favorite is the zcarnivore and the hot honey pizza. The server told me to try the wings, I will have to next time. I like the vibe and feel inside, I remember before it used to be so dark and just not cozy, I love the trivia screens they have, overall a great place to eat and relax. I hear wine is coming!!!! I saw on here there was a bad review in service, that person might have gotten it wrong, I have been back more than 10x now since they have reopened not once did I have a bad experience when it comes to service, the staff is great and very helpful, they really care on how you enjoy your meal and service. I love Z Pizza and this is a great location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pizza as well as salads are fantastic here, I am obsessed with their Mexican pizza and get it every time. Very fresh and high quality ingredients, the food does not weigh you down like other pizza places do. Prices are fair, the large pizza is over $20, but huge and can feed 4 easily. This MV location was having their grand opening so I stopped in to pick up a pizza. I have been a fan of Z so I was excited to see one open up closer to me. The dining area is a bit small but since I prefer to take my pie to go it didn't matter much. The staff at the registers were very friendly and made the order process go smooth. I opted for a take and bake, you can choose any pizza on the menu or build your own. I am a fan of the tuscan, which is basically all mushroom (cremini & shitake) with truffle oil (so good). You can see the dough being tossed then dressed with all your fixings! A unique option they offer is 'Take-N-Bake' which allows you to bake your pizza at home. If you're looking for a healthier pizza, you will find it here. Ingredients used include certified organic tomato sauce, mozzarella from grass-fed cows, non-GMO flour, vegan and gluten-free options. Which leads me to my next point...It matters where we put our $. And I believe the food industry will be encouraged to offer more organic if they learn that this is what the consumer wants.
