I ordered a pizza for dinner tonight. When I arrived, I was told my pizza would be coming out soon. I was thankful because there were two pizzas resting on the edge of the oven, both looking burned. I continued to wait, the whole time thinking that really did look like the pizza I had ordered - same size, edges of burned linguica, and a very burned crust. Someone finally grabbed the pizza, cut it, then placed in the warming cabinet. So definitely not mine... except it was. The cashier walked over to get the pizza and I told her it was burned. She asked if I wanted to look at the bottom to "prove" it wasn't burned, explaining the edges always look like that because that's what happens when the sauce is cooked - it happens to all pizzas (btw... I should mention here that my first jobs were working at pizza parlors). This isn't true, and my pizza was "light sauce," not heavy sauce. I asked if it would take another 20 minutes for them to do that (btw... it was 30 minutes, not the suggested 20 I was given online - but I was watching it as it sat for at least 5 min.). She said it wouldn't take that long and did go back to have the line make another one. However, when she came back, she explained that they would only put it halfway in the oven because again, this is how pizza bakes (but now it was because I ordered a thin crust with light sauce). Because I now feel the manner and tone is hostile because I had asked my $28 pizza to be remade, I asked if I could be refunded instead. I was given the refund and told again that it was because of the type of pizza I ordered. I explained that I had ordered the exact same pizza earlier this month and there wasn't an issue. Next excuse? I was told they just got a new oven yesterday, so that's why it was burned. I dunno. Maybe try lowering the temperature?? Choose an excuse and stick with it? I saw multiple employees, and not one of them was looking at the quality of product they were putting out. Not one realized customers were waiting while their pizzas sat out. Not one seemed to take pride in their work. I'm hoping that my account is credited (paid online). I do have a voided receipt, but given the other lies when a simple "We're sorry, how can we make this better?," would have made me a loyal and trusting customer. The only blame seemed to lie with me and the oven (though not concurrently). You've lost a customer. One star is generous. read more

One star for good tasting pizza but it doesn't make up for the short staffing and the fact that they cannot seem to get a pizza out the door in under forty minutes! Do not trust their time estimates they are worthless. I don't care if it is rush hour, any competent manager can staff for that. This place needs one person on the phones and the other handling the in person customers. It's pizza people, not that hard. I always order my team pizza from this location. They are always helpful over the phone. I would like for my price to be a bit consistent when ordering the same things. I find that after placing a few orders in a span of a a few weeks it's either mid $50s or mid $60s (same order from last) I understand different coupons could be applied but I would like to see some consistency when you see I just ordered a week or two ago. They are always happy to supply plates on request and hand out ample cheese & peppers. Staff is happy, pizza is good. read more

ok- I'm scoping out North Vasco because I come out this way 2-3 x per week to take DD to a class. I don't know if it is the idea that this location is a little more "lived in" than the one on first street.....but the pizza tastes better. Don't know how that could be. Talked to the manager. Same dough- same sauce. Even the cheese pizza is yummy. Strange phenomenon.... Service has been great. When ordering, I mentioned that I wouldn't be back to get my pizza until after DD's class is out and they timed putting the pizza in so it will be fresh out of the oven when i returned. Kids love the gumball type machines that have stretchy lizards and plastic rings. It's the highlight of our day on Tuesdays and Thursdays and sometimes Fridays. read more

Friendly group of people that run a good, clean, neighborhood joint. They do a great job of helping local groups use their back room for meetings and parties without charging them. Good pizza and a pretty good salad bar. Plenty of TVs and they are not uptight when you want to change the channel or use the remote. read more

There isn't a lot of ambiance here and the location is a bit out of the way for much of Livermore though being close to the freeway makes it an OK place to stop if you're passing through. The mountain size pizza is a great deal if you need to feed a lot of people. In general the pizza is good but not great. Their lunch buffet is OK, but the fact that they don't leave extra plates out sends a not so subtle message that they don't want to encourage excessive consumption. It kind of takes the fun out of eating at a buffet when you have to ask for another plate. (I assume you can do this, I've never tried) read more

This pizza spot was our "go to" spot for awhile. Then we had two bad experiences that made us stop using them. The first was when we ordered our food and the shop closed early for the night. We were left with no food and no apology. Luckily we pay in cash so we didn't have to deal with getting our money credited to us. The second time it took them over 2 hours to get our food and it was ice cold when it arrived. A year has gone by and we decided to give them a try again. I am not the brightest person at times. As I type this, I have been waiting for over 90 minutes for our pizza. We were told it would be here in an hour. We called 30 mins ago and we were told that it was out for delivery. Still nothing. I have been buying from this Mtn. Mike's for years as my husband and I work in Livermore. We get take out and on occasion dine in (when it was allowed). We had stopped ordering from this location because the quality of service and food had declined severely. I wondered if this franchise would stay open. Friday night I ordered online and drove to puck it up. The place was busier than I had seen before. I went to the counter and there was someone on the phone taking an order. One of the drivers asked if I had been helped and I said no. She said give me a second and I can assist you. That took me by surprise. She helped me complete my order and since I was early I waited. I was happy to see everyone moving..with a purpose. No more standing around, no one barking at them to do something. Even though it was busy, the environment was calm and not as tense as I had previously observed. The pozza came out, was boxed and I heard, "Can you please give this to Judy." I was called and handed the pizzas. When I made the 45 minute drive home, the pizza was warm and very delicious. I am impressed and I hope and pray that this pizzeria is on the upswing. If you had problems before, I strongly suggest you try them again. You won't be disappointed. Omar, it was great to talk to you and hear all the great things going on. Never ever will I go to a pizza lunch buffet again. Come in order the buffet and there is 2 slices of old pepperoni pizza in the buffet along with some fresh garlic cheese bread. I grab a piece of the garlic break and pass on the old pizza. While waiting for a fresh pizza to come out, over 50 people decide to have their company luncheon at a lunch buffet. Ate my salad, patiently waited 15-20 minutes and there was still a line 15 people long. I took my salad plate to the register and asked if I could have a partial refund since I had no more time to wait around and had to return to work. The cashier asked the "manager" who was obviously annoyed by being bothered said give him 77 cents. That's the difference between a salad and lunch buffet! I told the cashier, no need, you guys can keep the 3 quarters. I won't be back in. Customer service F! It's not their issue that it got busy. I understand that, but customer service was still lacking badly. **UPDATE** I was contacted by a rep for Mountain Mikes and was told that they will look into the issue and try to correct the issue. It's nice to know that some people/companies still listen to their feedback wether positive or negative. I still think I will stay away from lunch buffets, but that's with anywhere. Blamed everything on COVID - wouldn't let our large group use the large room; wouldn't let us move chairs or tables; no pitchers (they were saving them); out of wine; only two beer choices. Save yourself some time and aggravation, do not order from this Mountain Mike's if you have a coupon. Especially the Buy One Get One Free coupon. Supposedly they do not have a code for that offer in their register, even though the flyer states the offer is good at any of the Livermore locations. Ordered from the Vasco location tonight. They would not honor the coupon, so I walked out. Called the First St location to see if they accepted that offer and they did. In fact they said that offer is good at all 3 Livermore locations. Told them Vasco would not accept it, so placed my order with First St. Drove a little farther and got 2 hot pizzas and great service when I arrived. I'll take my business across town from now on. Walked in at 820pm and ordered and was told we could only order togo because they closed at 9pm. When we pressed a little harder because we wanted to order some beers and pizza and chill for a little, the lady asked "do you wanna order Togo or not!?!?" While I totally understand wanting to go home after work, seems weird to have a posted closing time of 9pm but not allow us to order for here past 8pm. Also we planned on getting some beers and salad bar but I guess they didn't want our money for that either. This place just lost a longtime, loyal customer tonight. They are so rude and unfriendly. They closed the salad bar down early and when I commented on how it looks like I'm too late for a salad she didn't respond for several minutes and then said we don't have to go containers anyways. No apology, just simply stated with a big attitude. When I went to pay with a gift card she just looked at me and said you can try it but I don't think it will work. When I asked why she just said we don't even sell those here. Again with an attitude and no further explanation or apolift. They have messed up orders, not had our order at all and then tried to tell me I called the wrong store when I checked my phone and showed them I had indeed called them she just shrugged her shoulders. Great pizza but the staff and manager are awful. I'd rather spend more and go to Melos where they're always happy to see you and are super polite. read more

My next stop in looking for a good pizzeria in Livermore led me here. After Pizza Guys left me unsatisfied, I tried Mountain Mike's across the street. I tried a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and a Pepperoni/Mushroom. The Burger pizza is edible but lacks flavor. It is completely one dimensional thanks to to the overwhelming amout of BBQ sauce. The pepperoni is small, but tasty. And the mushrooms were fresh, which is why this place beats Pizza Guys. But not by much. The crust is underwhelming and thick in all the wrong places. Needless to say, my journey for a great pizza continues. But at least in a positive direction. read more

After calling order in and being told it would be 1 1/2 because they're busy. I understood as it's Warriors playoffs. When I called at 1 1/2 hours to check status I was told it had been changed to a take out delivery. And it was just coming out of oven So after a discount which I had to push for I was told driver would deliver now. 30 minutes later it arrived barely warm. So needless to say I may not be a big customer but I'm still a customer and I will take business elsewhere. read more

Went on Saturday for some pizza and beer and was very happy. They're under new management and you could definitely tell. The cashier was super friendly and asked us several times while she was bussing tables if we needed anything, even the manager came out to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Pizza was delicious, the salad bar was stocked and clean, the tables & bathrooms were also clean. They had some rude, lazy staff for a while but it looks like this new manager may be turning things around. read more

I ordered my pizza and got a great surprise with the nicest driver Omar! He was so polite and talkative. The pizza was so good! The driver and I got so happy talking he forgot my soda and came back quickly to drop it off. I highly recommend mountain Mike's pizza on Vasco! To add he even gave me an extra 2 liter. I was so shocked and happy with the experience I forgot to tip him! I reached out to him and he said it wasn't necessary! Well next order I'll make sure he does.
