The crust is really yummy and has always been thoroughly cooked. I hate doughy crust! The toppings are always really fresh and plentiful. Couple of weeks ago I ordered two large pizzas for delivery and was told the deliver time would be a bit over an hour...fine. I am used to that on prime time weekends. Here in lies the problem. Upon arrival the driver had no cheese and peppers (which they always do) and when asked said, " sorry I'm all out." Okay, fine but, when I got my pizza it was cold...it was as if it sat in the delivery driver's vehicle for over an hour. The cheese on the pizza was solidified, indicating being cooled off or exposed to cold for extended length of time. I called the Manager whom gave me choice of remaking the order and delivery for free or 50% off next order. I opted for 50% next order. Well tonight 1/09/2016 I called in that chip but, was told that the 50% off doesn't work with the BOGO online coupon I always use. So, in effect that 50% off basically is a BOGO coupon. WTF?!!! I'M SORRY, if you are offering to remake the whole order and deliver for FREE that night BUT, refuse to give 50% off BECAUSE I have a coupon at later date...the same coupon I use every time, then something just doesn't add up. I believe you offer to remake the order because the stats play out that 99% of the people won't have you remake it so it is just an empty gesture. You have lost a customer today...for good! Briefly, above average pizza, terrible service. On a recent Friday afternoon (5ish), stopped in for a carry-out large combo. 45 minutes later, walked out, with pizza, regretting I'd given them by business. Plenty of workers, some of which were standing around discussing personal problems and/or Friday night plans. There were 4 other patrons in the restaurant, one of which was waiting for his pizza too. I could hear laughter coming from kitchen and the occasional sound of actual work being done. In short, if there was a manager present, I couldn't tell. He or she needs to be re-trained, demoted, or fired. I know these are just kids and fun should be part of any job but get the job done first. I probably will give them another chance. Side note: $25 is a bit steep for a large combo pizza in Modesto. read more

But we got this expensive pizza because we had a coupon book BOGO so figured we would try again (better than a cheap, greasy $5 pizza). However I just found a hair rubberband in my slice (in, not on. Wellllll.... Props for having GLUTEN FREE crust, that can be hard to find around here (even though it's fricken expensive!!! I paid $16 for the gf + pepperoni, olives and pineapple...) and it's only 10 in" I think... I ate all but one piece in one sitting... BUT... When I came in last night, there were literally 0 clean tables. All tables either had napkins or piles of pizza pans... Just not the biggest fan of Mountain Mike's ... The pepperoni is delish, it has just a little kick of spice. However we were totally let down by their veggie pizza. I love artichoke hearts, I'm a sucker for em, but the pizza was flavorless. I kept adding tons of peppers, and nothing. The service is great, and the kids were able to stay occupied with the video games and my money. Also, in my opinion, a bit pricey. Waited 15 minutes on hold to place an order for pick up. Order 2 large pizzas and delivery would have been 1 hour and 15 minutes so I decided to pick up in 30 minutes instead. Got here and they said it'll be 10 more minutes. Left to get drinks and came back to them saying it'll be 10 more minutes because "something went wrong with one of the pizzas". I want to start by saying I love Mountain Mikes and it's one of my favorite pizzas. With that said, this franchise is terrible. We ordered a pizza at 6:15 at night..at 7:20 when I still didn't have my pizza I asked for a refund. I was told they had a lot of orders and mine was skipped because other customers were complaining louder they had to wait so long. The salad bar, which we were served, was stale and old. Attitude: Pretty damn good. Person who took my order was patient and efficient. Delivery driver, had such a great personality and seemed to really care if I had everything I needed and that the food met expectations. Garlic Supreme pizza was phenomenal,the ingredients tasted fresh and looked the part as well. Even tasted great as leftovers in the morning! I had an awesome experience at this location that did not start out well. I wanted to call in an order and was placed on hold for more than 9 minutes. My wife really wanted the Tuscan Garlic Pizza so I went to the restaurant and order the pizza. After paying for the pizza I was told my order would be up in about 30 minutes, they were busy. I asked to speak with the manager because this is why I wanted my order phoned in so I did not have to wait. Crystal, the manager on duty, listened to my complaint, apologized, and made my order a priority. I got my pizza in about 10 minutes. It was hot and delicious. I like the sit down environment. I suggest you call ahead to dine in. The staff are friendly and they are a friendly crew each time I've gone. I usually get a Robber's Roost and a Veggiemore and they both taste great! I suggest you not getting the fresh tomatoes for the veggiemore as they make pizza taste strange. The store has ranch which we can take for pizza. I suggest coming by after lunch hour rush and just enjoying a pizza. read more

I did an online order and my total came out to $30, I arrived at the estimated time my pizza would be done and they told me someone had picked up my order and I would have to pay again. Never have I ever seen such poor management, once the manager came out she was stoned/high and came off on me with an attitude on not wanting to redo my order. Nicole the head manager and her staff are Amazing, welcoming, respectful, always greeting you with a smile, and just outstanding! They accommodate your order if needed with no problems. Their creamy jalapeno breadsticks are truly a favorite of mine. This Mountain Mike's is always super clean with stocked bathrooms and salad bar. Ordered a large thin crust on Mother's Day in the evening. Was told a 45 minute, went in at 40 minutes and took it home. Got home and surprise surprise, the pizza was about half the size of the box, it measured 10.5 inches and the pizza was cold and the crust was tough. What happened? Used to be my favorite pizza. Last night we didn't want to cook & decided to try something different. We always liked Mountain Mike's pizza, but thought we try their sandwiches. Last time we also had a dessert pizza which was delicious. Our order was delivered on time. we always pay the tip in cash. The sandwiches were really bad. 3 skinny pieces of low quality ham, veggies cut in chunks, and barely any melted cheese, with burned spots on the bread. The dessert pizza was like cardboard, stale with no flavor. We threw everything out & I cooked a frozen dinner. It was dinner rush so I didn't call in last night. I should have, as I was told when I called Mountain Mike's today. They would not refund my money. They would not give me a full credit. Sadly we are done with Mountain Mike's. They did offer a 25% discount on our next pizza, but why take a chance? All restaurants should stand by their food, not make excuses for it.
