I want so badly to give Mountain Mike's Pizza off Mira Loma a 5/5, but after three experiences it has planted the flag at a solid 4/5 which is more than good enough for many future upcoming repeated visits. First off, the staff is always super friendly and kind. The location is clean and well kept. Perfect. The pizza is make perfectly, an absolute guilty pleasure culinary delight. Every time, across 9 pizzas in 3 visits, all were made expertly! I honestly suspect the "if it's so good why not 5/5?" "problem" I am having might be because I have been ordering directly off of the menu. Their Spicy Himalayan is absolutely spectacular. IT'S A ONE OF A KIND. Everything else is "off by one". It's as if they copied the competition's best sellers and added a personal tweak that made it slightly worse. It is as if they're either missing a flavor, or changed a flavor for some reason. For example, I highly suspect substituting pineapple for the mango would elevate their "Zesty Aloha". What a great wonderful experience I had at Mountain Mike's Pizza. I created a login for their app. The app was really easy to use and easy to navigate. It definitely makes life easy when order food. I was able to order my pizza and chicken wings right on the app. I was also able to set a pickup time and day. I ordered two large pizzas: pepperoni and the Sizzling Bacon. I also ordered Buffalo chicken wings. The pizza was outstanding. There wings were great too. The building was nice and clean, along with the pizza packaging. Basketball Madness and Mountain Mikes Pizza are great together. I ordered the pizza thru their user friendly app and had zero issues using it. The pizza was ready in 20 minutes and was piping hot when I picked it up. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with the crispy cup pepperoni. Stopped by for some pizza last night and it was delish! The location is clean and pretty big. Has some arcade games. Has a nice selection of both booths and tables. We ordered a large pizza half Swiss alps and half bbq chicken and both sides were really good. Lots of toppings and the crust was great! It was time to visit this location... and I liked it just as much as their newest NW location! Let me reiterate that I have very particular tastes when it comes to pizza. Having grown up in New York City, I prefer classic East Coast NY/NJ style pizza...thin crispy crust, minimal toppings...you know what I'm talking about... I do enjoy a good "West Coast" style of pizza once in a while and that's what I always find from this company! I've had their pizza before and always enjoyed it, so I decided to partake of their lunch buffet at this location. Located in a strip mall, it's surrounded by other eateries and businesses that get a lot of traffic, but there was plenty of parking available in close proximity to the entrance. The interior is very nice...very spacious...much larger than their NW location...it felt comfortable and looked spotless...again, just like their newest location! Just like at their newest location that I previously reviewed, I was greeted by a very friendly employee at the counter who took my money and handed me 2 plates and a glass. The buffet was set up right next to the order/pay/pick up station and it looked inviting. Beautiful salad bar with LOTS of choices for fixing your salad any way that you like. Great selection of dressings, too. They also have macaroni salad, pasta salad and potato salad on the salad bar. Everything looked super FRESH and it was all delicious. After my salad, it was pizza time. They had garlic knots and multiple pizzas under the warmers. I grabbed some slices and thoroughly enjoyed them...and when I went back up for more, there was a whole new set of fresh pizzas to choose from! Everything was delicious...big thick crust, multitudes of toppings to choose from, all piping hot and tasty. Great to see and experience the consistency and quality across multiple locations... We went to Mountain Mike's yesterday for the Yelp Elite promotion they had going on this month! I had never tried their pizza before, and it was amazing! We did a build-your-own pizza with red onions and pineapple, and they definitely didn't skimp on the toppings! I ate leftovers for lunch today and they were still just as good as day 1! Tried to order their XL Hawaiian special with barbecue and was told if you spend over 30 or 40 doll​ars you get like 25% off. My friend picked up the order and was charged $51 no deal and the pizza was just a basic ham and pineapple. I call in to try and fix it they didn't understand what was wrong English was a second language. I said forget it just hook me up with a medium pizza of the one I wanted. Now we never got that pizza it was too late by the time we were done and today I see a double charge by mountain mikes for the XL. I have stopped by this location for pick up about 4 times now. Each time the service is friendly and with a smile. I am just not a fan of the pizza. I think the sauce lacks any flavor. Same for the crust-boring. Those tiny pepperonis curl up and get so crunchy that it makes the pizza almost inedible. I have tried the boneless wings and they were tasty with the right amount of sauce.
