We have tried all the pizza places in Vacaville. I am gluten-free and Mountain Mikes on Monte Vista is by far the best gluten-free pizza in Vacaville. I usually get a large gluten-free pizza with white sauce, bacon, pepperoni, tomatoes, fresh, green, onions, and garlic. It is truly so good! We are definitely regulars there, and the staff remember us which I appreciate. They also have a takeout deal on Tuesdays for 40% off all large pizzas. Definitely the best deal in town. Went for the first time last week. Was very clean inside, looks brand new almost! Went on a weekday around 1pm. Even asked me what kind of pizza I would like for them to prepare fresh for me. 10 mins later, they brought it out. Salad bar was decent at best. But I'm easy to please when it comes to salads. If you get this busy you should A) be honest with the customer and B) hire more delivery people and C) BE HONEST WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS Argh it has been 76 minutes since I ordered our pizza and apparently it could take up to 90. First timer here! and I am impressed by how good the pizza is. Decided on an all meat medium pizza and a dozen hot wings, and am not disappointed at all. I noticed a man and his son came in for the lunch buffet however there was not a pizza they liked on the buffet- but a worker came out and asked them what they liked and he would make it fresh and bring it out, and he did. Ordered a mountain size pizza for delivery. Once the pizza was delivered and I gave the driver a tip I realized we didn't get any ranch or plates. I asked the driver if he had it in his car because we ordered it over the phone and he told me no. I proceeded to call and see if they could bring us some or see how they could accommodate us and they told me there was nothing they could do and I had to take an L and eat that extra, large dry ass pizza with no ranch. I've been to several Mountain Mike's pizza restaurants since they came to California...quite a few years ago. I can honestly say, NONE of the other Mountain Mike's has pizza that is as good as the pizza I get at this joint. I don't know if it's because they make their pizza differently, or are more generous with their toppings, or what, but this restaurant really puts it together. Strange for a franchise chain to have different quality of food at different locations, but seriously, this MM's is significantly better. The ambiance is casual. The staff was very friendly and professional. They have 2 TV's on either side of the room. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the crust. They charge .50 for a side of dressing. I ordered two, they didn't make it to the door. I opened the pizza box, and the pizza was folded over with half the toppings scattered around the box. I understand accidents and probably wouldn't have cared too much, but the driver should have at least pointed it out and offered to bring a new pizza if it was a problem. They're over priced and their flavors just aren't that great. You can order half/half on any pizza (we always do the Everest/Chicken Luau) and it's made perfectly every time. They also have great beer! I love Mountain Mikes....usually. I came here for the lunch buffet with my son on a Tuesday. Not too many people here but almost nowhere to sit because no one had cleaned up any tables. In fact, the whole time I was there, no one came out from the back to bus any tables. They brought out some fresh pizza while we were eating but were pretty slow with it for a lunch hour and they stopped and it got to be slim pickings around 1230 as we were leaving. Only two slices left...period. Not too sure what time the buffet ends, but that's why people were there. No one ordered their own pizzas, everyone was there for the buffet. The salad bar was ok, some times looked noticeably old, but it was items people don't normally get. I went to the restroom after and it was disgusting. Looks like it hadn't been looked at in a while and STUNK. Thankfully this is across town for me so I won't have a reason to come back.
