Our search took us to seven different dealerships, in four different cities, throughout the Inland Empire. It seems that the first six dealerships didn't want to sell us a vehicle because they all wanted to jack up the APR through the roof and never come close to the terms we were willing to settle on. We have a set budget and they said, "oh yes we can get you in where you want to be...come on down and take a test drive." After the first five dealerships doing this and never coming close to our budgeted amount we found one that would meet our budget. The only problem was they tried to sell us a vehicle that had the check engine light on and the car pulled to the right. They took it to have it checked and found the engine head was bad.....no deal. At the point of giving up on someone actually dealing honestly with integrity I hit the Internet one more time. We had many shady sales people in this month and a half! I came across Mountain View Chevrolet. They had the van I was looking for at the price I wanted. I live in Riverside and didn't want to drive all the way out to upland to have yet another shady salesman waste my time, especially with gas prices the way they are! I asked for a quote on-line (late at night) and the next morning was surprised to have one in my in-box. The price was lower than all the others could offer so I took the chance and called them. I was pleasantly surprised by the polite and caring service I was given. I first talked to Joel and told him which vehicle I was interested in. He gave me a chance to explain my situation and then went and checked to see if the vehicle was still in stock. He was very busy, taking care of three deals at one time, and asked me if I would mind if his coworker could help me. I had no problem with that and started working with Rob Kittilson. What a blessing that turned out to be. Rob was the nicest, polite, honest salesperson I have ever met. I explained my situation and he listened. He quoted me the best price and the monthly payments I wanted. ( I heard that one before?) He asked me and my wife to come down and take a test drive and if we like it, sign the papers and it is ours. I really didn't want to drive all the way to Upland, in a heavy thunderstorm with lightning and flooding to get jerked around again. We took the chance and are sooooo glad we did. The car was there waiting for us as we pulled up as well as Rob. He politely introduced himself and invited us in and asked if we wanted any coffee or water. No other dealer did this. We then took care of some questions and then went for a test drive. We liked the car and came back to the office to take care of paper work. That went seamlessly. Rob took care of our trade in, giving us top dollar for our trade, and then we went across the street to financing where we were met by a nice, polite lady who took care of our paperwork. In no time we were done and driving away in our new 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew. Wow! I never knew buying a car could so pleasant. They took care of us above and beyond what all the other dealers were willing to do. Well my review of our purchase of a 2011 Chevy Equinox is gonna be completely opposite of the other reviews on this page. We had an absolutely magnificent experience at this dealership when we went in with the ad for the 1 on the lot at this price. We dealt with Martha at first and since she was relatively new with the dealership and we had sooooo many questions she called in Kenny to help us out. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kenny, he is such a kind, caring, gentle man and he shoots straight from the hip. He will try his best to deal with you but if he can't he won't keep you there all day bull crapping. We knew what vehicle we wanted, the price we were gonna pay for it, and the payment/months financed that we were gonna go for. Kenny wrote it all down and after about maybe 30 minutes we were ready to sign the papers. They took us on a tour through the facility, we met the service manager, the cashier etc. Only one trip back to bring the title to the trade in and we were done. Even gave us a gas card for bringing the title back. They hooked up the OnStar/hands free calling and described the operation of the whole vehicle from the back to the front. Wonderful experience. Not only that but while we waited Kenny took the time to get to know us and our lives (we weren't just customers at that point) they did whatever they could to make us comfortable throughtout the whole process. The Equinox is everything we could have hoped for and we are so happy with the purchase. Now 6 months after purchasing the vehicle we took it in for the FIRST oil change/service, Not a great experience at all, after driving almost all the way home (25 miles with gas at 4.49 a gallon) one of the panel lights comes on that says tire maintenance interruption. I immediately called and spoke with Rhonda the service manager and she tried to say I had run over a nail on the way home, I told her no way and that I felt that the panel had not been reset after the tire rotation. She said no way and that I could just take the truck to any tire service center and they can fix the nail puncture. I asked her what time the shop closes and she says 5:00pm and that I have 1.5 hrs to get back down there or they will be closed. again she says you can take it anywhere and they can repair the tire and i told her no I will be back down there because you guys screwed it up and you guys will fix it. She was rude, hateful and even mean during the whole process. the panel had not been reset as I said and she never acknowledged that I was right. She even recommended that from now on I take the truck to another dealership for service. I filled out the survery sent to me by chevrolet to rate the service I received. I DID and gave them zeros. The next day the service manager (Jeff I believe) was calling my husband apologizing and offering to do anything to make up for what had happened. Also Rhonda had been fired evidently mine was not the first complaint about her. Anyway I am well pleased with everything at Mtn. View Chev. would def recommend them and Kenny and Martha are beautiful people. By the way when i brought the truck in 6 mths after the purchase for service we saw Kenny on the lot and he immediately started asking us how we were and there was no doubt that he remembered us from 6 mths before. Mountain View Chevrolet advertised a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze for $14,477 for customers with USAA insurance membership in the LA Times Sunday newspaper on 8/07/2011. My wife and I went in to test drive the car and decided we wanted to purchase the vehicle. Armed with our pre-approved loan, we informed the salesman that we did not need any financing, but he tried to convince us to consider financing through them. When he returned from consulting with his General Sales Manager, Zareh Chiranian, he quoted us with a payment in excess of $344 a month. Once again we informed him that we already had financing and just wanted to make the purchase. The salesman told us the manager said we needed to have a credit check done. I asked to speak with him and went to his office where he was sitting at his desk shoeless. The manager said, "I want to make a few hundred dollars off of this sale." He tried to convince us to finance through them, insisted we needed a credit check, and he also said he needed to complete an OFAC check to ensure I was not a terrorist. I was highly offended by this statement and told him what I thought about him. I called the dealership the following day to speak with the General Manager, Nick Cacucciolo Jr., who according to his receptionist was not available. The receptionist called me back informing me that Nick said I would have to deal with the General Sales Manager. I spoke with Zareh who once again insisted he needed to do a credit check and also do an OFAC check to ensure I am not a terrorist. He also told me that the taxes for the car were subject to the original cost prior to the discounted sales price. Mountain View Chevrolet had no intentions of making that sale unless we agreed to their financing terms. We did not buy the car of course. I recommend that anyone considering the purchase of a Chevrolet do not go to this dealership to do business. read more

I would like to begin by saying it was refreshing to arrive somewhere in person and have them have the online item in stock and verify the online price as correct. My husband and I have shopped other vehicles online resulting in either the vehicle "just got sold" or "well that price was ...." scenario, both of which are annoying! So down to the good stuff .... we have been shopping for a particular type of truck in a particular color for over 6 months, but seeing as the economy and fuel costs have deterred people from large vehicles it has been slim picking or so far north of our price range that it wasn't even worth the trip! Mountain View had exactly what we were looking for, in a price range we could afford, it was actually available at the online price so we took a little road trip with our 2 little ones to go see! Upon arrival they located the representative my husband spoke to on the phone, and located the vehicle we were interested in. Robert looked over our trade-in and went with Ed into the office while the kids and I waited in the car because I did not want to haul them out if it wasn't even feasible or they weren't going to give us what we wanted on the trade-in. 20 minutes later they had emerged with a verified/acceptable trade-in value, and had already run the numbers so we could get an accurate idea of our payment. Talk about efficient! Despite their offices being under construction they were prompt, accurate and we bought ourselves a new truck in record time. The process was so painless that it was truly an amazing experience and lets remember we had two small kids with us. Robert, Jeff and Michele were so helpful, understanding of the small children, and NICE!!! It was great to do business with genuine people who wanted to talk to us other than about money. I recently visited Chevrolet of Upland to see a Chevy Silverado that was advertised online for around $36,000, but my experience there was extremely disappointing and frustrating. What was supposed to be a simple truck inquiry quickly turned into what I believe was a classic bait-and-switch situation. When I arrived, I was told that the advertised model was not what I expected -- it turned out to be a very basic stock version. The salesman then told me about another truck, a 2025 Chevy Silverado, claiming it had all the bells and whistles but was one year older. He quoted me a price of $45,000, which I felt was fair considering the features. I explained to him that I'm a survivor of the Eaton Canyon fire that happened on January 7, 2025, and that I had lost my work truck in that disaster. I also told him that an organization was willing to help me replace the vehicle. I asked him to speak with his sales manager to see if they could work with me on the price. Unfortunately, that's when the experience went from disappointing to downright unprofessional. The sales manager came across as nonchalant, unsympathetic, and disrespectful. Instead of helping, he tried to raise the price to $50,000, which felt like a slap in the face, especially after I explained my situation. His attitude was cold, greedy, and completely lacking in compassion. To make matters worse, I noticed that during the entire hour and a half I was there, I was the only customer on the lot -- which now makes perfect sense. After what I experienced, I can clearly understand why. Overall, my visit to Chevrolet of Upland was a complete letdown. I left feeling misled, disrespected, and taken advantage of. The dealership lied to me!!! We find good price on CARS.COM(Chevrolet Camaro 1LT, price is $23990),and made an appointment on 11:00 am 7/24 with Anthony Sanchez,when we went there,Anthony Sanchez was busy,so he bring the another salesman (Andy Ho)to help us.After driver test,Andy Ho give us the total price is $26640 including all fees and interest on loans is 2.99%. I paid $5000 by check and $5000 by credit card,and then Andy began to make up the story, Andy back to his office about 20 minutes later,he said financial department want give us 5.99% interest on loans,because the car doesn't make money,we are so upset,I told Andy ,I want talk to the dealership manager and Andy bring the one guy(he said his name is Bill ,he is supervisor of sales department),Bill he was very rude,he give us a many reason way we have to pay 5.99% for interest (after 10 minutes later he give us 4.99% interest for loans).Andy give me an good idea,we can payoff three month later,we don't have to pay interest ,also don't have to pay any charge fee ,and 4.99% and 2.99% only $22/month different. I trust Andy because we speak the same language. I finally received first payment yesterday(from gateway one lending & finance),I have account balance is $17566.43,and the dealership put 2.89% on the interest,and 1338.17 for the finance charge. We have bought from this dealer in the past and had a great experience, however, this time shopping with my daughter was a NIGHTMARE! My daughter was looking to buy her first car but as soon as they saw mom they insisted that I cosign for her and wouldn't take no for an answer. The guy kept saying I had to do it and I finally got so frustrated that I F*$@ NO! The guy then said "Jesus Christ lady, we don't want your business" . I asked to speak to the manager and this guy Bob Fernandez said he would take care of it and see if there was a way to get the deal done without cosigning, bty, my daughter has good credit! Bob told us to go ahead and leave and he would call in 2 hours and let us know what happened, but of course he never called. We knew that he was just trying to get us out of there. We left and went straight to Crest Chevrolet and what do you know, my daughter got a brand new car WITHOUT A COSIGNER! I called the Bob guy at mountain view and he said "well, I'm glad they were willing to take the risk", are you kidding me? The dealer doesn't take the risk, the bank does and apparently the bank thought it would be okay because she got the car! The next day I actually got a call from mountain view asking me to buy a car! I purchased a Volt from Mountain View Chevrolet in February. It was the third vehicle that I have purchased in the past year. The experience with the first purchase was wonderful. The soft sell, genuine interest in my needs and customer service were all greatly appreciated and made the experience a pleasure. With the second purchase, we experienced a misunderstanding with a financing detail. Upon recognizing the issue, the Mountain View Management immediately took ownership, even though it was my mistake, and rectified the issue. They went well beyond my expectations. My third purchase proved to be better then the first two. They identified my needs and located the perfect vehicle within minutes. WOW I am more then amazed at the incredible service that I received at Mountain Chevrolet. It all started one morning I just happened to see a Porsche Panamera come across my phone screen and just inquired not really expecting anything, and one of the sale personnel Rodger called me back right away, he was very friendly and was willing to help, I told him exactly what I wanted and he went to work on my behalf. Ok so I had an issue with my truck. I got the ecbond coating on my paint and the good ole sprinkler system hooked me up with some water spots. I called the general manager at mountain view and he set me up with an appointment instantly, even though I was supposed to go through ecbond(which I didn't know). I go down there and they are busy but the service manger got me hooked up with one of the service guys really quick and he was super cool. They told me it was gonna take all day but the service guy pushed me through in less than 2 hours. I picked up my spotless truck and was out the door. I apologize for being terrible with names or I would have given credit where it was due to the individuals. This was our second trip to Mountain View Chevrolet. And, we will return again. My son purchased his first vehicle at this location. The experience hear has been great. I find most of the personnel very respectful, like the young man (Anthony) who assisted us last night. We would've driven off the lot with another vehicle, but I was outraged at discovering that the car dealer we visited two weeks prior had done us an Injustice with our credit report. Anthony was sweet, he's still going to check on the vehicle I requested and get back to me. I have only had two horrible experiences with car dealerships: the first, Ford of Upland-the management team doesn't have any customer service etiquette and don't care to listen to the clients/customers. The second, CarMax of Costa Mesa-they don't know what they're doing, especially when it comes to the financing, they are so illiterate with their computers and they are not very friendly. My wife and I had been searching for a used Tacoma TRD crew cab long bed for weeks (around 25K). All we could find were 2007/08 models with 60K+ miles for that price. We came across an ad for Mountain View Chevy that had the exact model but 2011 with 18K miles.....for much much LESS than what other dealerships were asking for the older models with 4x the miles. We understood we were getting a great deal so we were more than happy with the firm price. We went in and spoke with Joel (used car specialist) and he was very accomidating. We told him we already had a loan in place but he had finance run the numbers and they were able to save us 2K on our loan. We've had good and bad experiences with dealerships but had to put this one on Yelp because it was the smoothest transaction we've ever made. We weren't trying to be the customers from hell who want everything for nothing. We did our research, knew a good deal when we saw it, and signed the paperwork. In n out in 2+ hours! read more
