I went to Mountain view chevrolet to look at a truck I was interested in. When we got there we were helped by sales man Ash. He first tried to show us a different truck and tried to play it off as the truck we were asking for when it clearly was not. After that we had to ask if we could test drive it , most of the time while on the test drive Ash was on his phone and seemed to show no interest in talking about the specs on the vehicle. Then we go inside to try and make a deal , he asked us how much we were going to put down we said we had a trade in then from there on it seemed he was uninterested to help us at all, after we filled out the application maybe 10 min went by when Ash came back and said this is going to be impossible you need to find a car for 25k and handed all our documents back as if we were done he wanted nothing else to do with us ! He never once said ok this truck isn't going to work but we have these vehicles you can look at NOTHING!! On top of that we were offered no water or anything to drink in 100 degree weather. This review is for the shady tactics employed by this dealership to sucker unsuspecting customers onto their car lot. My husband and I were searching for a reasonably priced camaro and saw Mountain View Chevrolet's ad on Facebook. I contacted them and informed them that we lived in Santa Clarita - about a ninety minute drive and that we were interested in the camaro they had advertised. That's where things went south. The salesman started asking me questions like-are you leasing a mustang? Uh. No. Why? Well, the fine print discounts only apply to individuals leasing a mustang! When I confronted him about this bait and switch tactic he said he wanted to prevent us from traveling all that way if we were unaware of the terms for the low price advertised when the actual price was about $2500 more. I bought an Escalade from this dealership in Feb of 2015. I am not an easy customer to deal with when I buy a car. In fact I would call my self a real A@)(;()$e! Fast forward to yesterday March 29th 17 I was looking for a full size truck, Hanny got wind that I was looking and he called me. They had a Silverado I was interested in. I came down drove it and went home. I called him and told him what Numbers I wanted. He went to work, he text me back in 20 min with a picture of a printout with the numbers I wanted. I told him ok go ahead run the credit let's do the deal. I also told him I would not be coming down there until the package was ready for signing. He called me back in 15 min. said come sign and drive away. Again I was at the dealership less than an hour total and Hanny made it happen! Quickly. He treated me great both times. What should of been an stress free vehicle has been a nightmare so far. Purchased my vehicle last August and I already took it in for recalls twice since I've purchased it. The BEST part was last Friday when the "engine light" went on. I called and was advised not to drive it until it gets checked. Unfortunately the appointments are early morning and I have to work so I drove it from Covina to Upland on Monday afternoon so that it can be there Tuesday morning for my 7:30am appointment. Stressing over how I would pick it up being that I work in pasadena, they made the process easy by arranging a late pick up which worked out great. I picked up my vehicle and drove it home. Wednesday morning I drove to work and did notice a slight smell of gas or exhaust. I thought nothing of it since I just figured it was residue left over from the work they did. As I was leaving work, I was pulling a parking facility ticket from my windshield when I noticed the a cap wedged in the windshield area. It seemed to be from my oil tank. I opened the hood and sure enough OIL EVERYWHERE!!! I took pics, called the service center to let them know and after sending the pics to them via email was assured the car was safe to drive and was advised to bring it in to have the car checked and cleaned. It took me like 2 hrs to get there from pasadena but upon arrival they took my car in right away and asked me to wait at the lounge area. I waited for maybe 20 min and was told my car was ready. At this point I feel that as an inconvenience to me I should of been compensated at least by filling up my gas tank for the 2 hr drive I had to take for them to fix their mistake. I was also told my car was washed but it was half ass done and water smudge marks all over the windows and windshield. They didn't open the hood to show me what was done, he just said it's all done and sorry. My entire drive back I kept thinking, I was more then understanding about the mistake and that mistakes do happen but the low compensation left a bad taste for me. I'm hesitant about having any future work done there. Now the hood of my car has a huge oil stain on it and it's not even a year old. It really would have made a huge difference to me if a little more effort was put into making sure I left satisfied and worry free. read more

My truck was in this service department for 2 months for a blown turbo on our 2009 Chevy 2500 that they had already fixed once, 36,000 miles prior. Only this time, our vehicle was out of warranty because it was over 5 years old. The repair was in excess of $10,000. We had a terrible time getting a written quote for our repair; finally we had to tell them they couldn't proceed on any further work until we received the written quote. It was next to impossible to get a hold of our Service Advisor and despite the numerous phone calls and messages we left for the service manager, we never received a phone call back. For an extremely loyal GM customer (I currently own 4 GM vehicles), I will NEVER set foot in this dealership or any affiliated dealership again. I will take my business to a dealership with better service and who care about their customers. read more

This was THE WORST car buying experience I have ever had. I have never been treated that badly, ever, nor have I ever seen anyone in the car business treat anyone else that badly. The ONLY reason I purchased my vehicle from here is because of the deal I got, which mind you, they wanted to rescind once they found out I had my own finance company. The treatment we got was as if we were trying to steal the car. Also mind you, they profile you, they think if you look non-white let's go ahead and send out a Hispanic salesman and have him start talking in Spanish. Look I am Peruvian, and my fiancé and his father are Mexican, however they do not speak Spanish, I (the light skinned one) do... yet they went straight up to him and speak to him in Spanish, after we had TWO Caucasian salesmen first! Then they didn't know if they had the car. They had us waiting for a good 20 minutes to even see if they had the car in stock. Then they said they only had two, but after walking around I found another two, for a total of 5. The sales manager didn't want to give us the deal they had on the car. Then when I went to drop off the check from our finance company at the dealership, they REFUSED to give me a receipt for the check until I said my lawyer insisted on it, and even then I was given major attitude for it. My husband took his car in for service and they charged him for services not provided. They claim they have a package charge when they change your oil, they also rotate your tires and reset your tire monitor but because my husband forgot his wheel lock they couldn't do any rotating or resetting of the tires they still charged him the package price. I've taken my truck in several times for the instrument cluster acting erratic and losing power to my 2015 Silverado 2500HD with less than 30,000 miles on it. The stabilitrak will flash,Trailer brake, engine light etc plus the speedometer will go up and down and eventually down to nothing. Our truck has started to jerk and lose power during these events. We have videoed it several times and sent the videos to the service people. Specifically Johnathan Pena and Andy Pringle. They are telling us that because it isn't throwing a code or "acting up" with them there is nothing they can do. They are trying to blame it on our fifth wheel hitch which we had installed just last year and this problem has been for over two years now. DO NoT TAKE your vehicle here for service. Waste of time. Record and document all your conversations, we asked him to call us back to get clarity on the diagnosis what what needed to be done , he didn't call back and then told his Service supervisor Vanessa that he didn't want to speak to us. We asked what part of the car needed to be fixed , she told us that the front and didn't know what side. If it had been documented and she said it was not . Beware of the service Dept. I went in to get an oil change, I did have a $39.00 coupon. I asked Jonathan Pena if I could use it. He said yes but the total would be a little bit more because my truck needed 3 additional quarts of oil. I was there at 0900 hrs for my appointment. 3hours later the car was ready and the bill came to a total of $72.94, that's not a little bit more that's almost double. The cashier had Pena come to speak with me and said well it needed more oil. I was not going to argue, I purchased this vehicle there, delivery was terrible and this visit was just as bad. So I'll start that it literally pains me to write this about a Chevy dealer since I have had nothing but positive experiences at my local dealer..... clearly not the case here My nephew went to look at trucks 10 days ago. They put him in a 2019 Chevy Silverado and he loved it. He left his car as a trade in/down payment and all was well and right in the world. That is until they called 6 days ( yes 6 days!!!) later and said "sorry, can't do the loan, we need the truck back". This after he had purchased new tires and rims for what he thought was his truck. Now I ask you, who in the HELL has the audacity to call 6 days after the fact and do this??? Why the fu*^ did they not do their due diligence prior to him driving off the lot??? Not only is this beyond shady AF, poor business practice, AND completely disappointing, but from a Chevy dealer makes it hurt a little more. I sure hope that now they got their commission checks, sales looked good in paper that they believe in karma, because trust and believe this kinda shit comes back to you.
