I posted a similar review about this place, but this place really deserves the attention for what they did for us. Teresa at Mountainview literally saved our lives on a Saturday afternoon. We had received a bad car rental that essentially broke on us. The rental company told us to take the car to Mountainview after telling us that they don't have a car to swap it out for us. Teresa was super helpful, took it out for a spin and immediately let us know that not only was the car completely unsafe to drive, but that she'd contact the car rental company to make sure they give us a car. 11/10 service and again kept us from getting stranded over an hour away from where we're from. read more

On Wednesday, 8-6-25, I scheduled an appointment over the phone for basic tire rotation as my truck's tire were installed at this specific location (Store #1725, 41590 Date Street, Murrieta, CA). My appointment time was scheduled for Saturday, 8-9-25 @ 1600 hours. Based on my truck mileage, I am due for new brakes. I was planning to get the rotation done, get info and advice on brake services they offer. I arrived on time on Saturday, 8-9-25, just before 1600. I walk in and am greeted by a female employee who was sitting in the office. This is a synopsis of our short conversation: Employee: "You're back for the alignment, right?" Me: "Ughh, no. I have an appointment for tire rotation." Employee: "Oh. Yeah, we've been slammed all day. One of my guys was a no show. We won't be able to get to it today. Can you come on Monday?" Me: "No, I work on Monday. That's why I scheduled an appointment. What time do you close?" Employee: "We are closing soon and there's no way we can get it done." Me: "So if you knew you were shorthanded all day and were slammed, did you think at all to call me to tell me as soon as you knew instead of wasting my time driving over here and waiting all day?" Employee: "I'm sorry, you're right, I should have done that." The fact that you acknowledge that you made such a mistake in treating a customer like this doesn't help me with trusting you, the service you provide, or your company as a whole. I bought a Groupon for an oil change and tire rotation. It was such a great value. I had to make an appointment which is no problem but the appointment number isn't for the actual store, so you need to verify with the store itself before actually showing up. It was a great service, they did a good job. Only thing is that I didn't get a lube sticker, but I guess it's fine since I have the service interval reminder on my dash. But I know not everyone has that. Overall, I would do go there again. read more

I would like to give a big shot out to Travis he went above and beyond I asked him to check my ATF cause I guess last time 2 years ago no one knew where it was I went home YT it found it told Travis where it was he said no problem I got you!! I have been going to Mountain View Tires since I started driving at 16 (I'm 31 now). This store is hands down the best! Great + friendly service with honest and knowledgeable employees. As a woman who knows nothing about car maintenance, I always appreciate a mechanic that has my best interest in mind and does not take advantage of me and my lack of car knowledge by recommending me services I do not need. My family and I were on a trip from LA down to San Diego when my tire valve blew out on the highway. We pulled in to MountainView Tire and Auto and it was a God send. They got us in immediately, recommended a great diner next store while we waited, replaced the valve stem, and sent us on our way FOR FREE!!!! I've been bringing both my car and my wife's here for over five years without any issues. Back in late February, I spent around $700 on a full tune-up for my Civic. A couple months later, I noticed my windshield wiper fluid was completely empty. Not a huge deal--I can refill it myself--but I stopped by just to ask if they could double-check that nothing else (like brake fluid or oil) had been overlooked during the service. Unfortunately, when I tried to explain this, the manager, Teresa, immediately cut me off and repeatedly said there was nothing they could do. She wouldn't let me get a word in and just stared off, repeating herself. I left, hoping to speak with the tech who worked on my car instead. For the next few weeks, I dropped by several mornings but couldn't catch him. Then this morning, I stopped in again, and before I could say anything, Teresa said, "You're that foo from the other week." I tried to calmly explain the situation, but she once again stared at the wall and repeated the same line: "There's nothing we can do." Thankfully, an employee named Travis stepped in, heard me out, and offered to check. He saw the wiper fluid was indeed empty and kindly topped it off, even though I said I could do it myself. As I was getting into my car, I overheard Teresa refer to me as "that foo from the other week" again--then followed it up with a loud, "F*** that motherf****r." Totally uncalled for. I just smiled at Travis and left. if you go here, try to avoid dealing with Teresa. I've had good experiences with other staff, but her attitude and unprofessionalism were way out of line. read more

My daughter and I were going to get her Ford C-Max oil changed when I looked at her tires. They were bald!! OMG. I would not let her drive on those except to the closest tire shop. Mountain View Tire on Date Street in Murrieta was recommended. We walked in and were able to immediately have four new tires installed, alignment, and the oil change done. I was very happy and impressed that they were able to do what all we needed immediately. The technicians did a great job and the entire price was less than I thought it might be. We also have a warranty on the tires, with periodic tire services at no additional cost. We're very happy with everyone at Mountain View Tire. I recommend Mountain View Tire. read more

I made an appointment online at the Hidden Springs location for a full synthetic oil change using a Groupon. When I arrived at the appropriate time, they were closed. I went home and made another appointment at their second Murrieta location for that same day. Before doing the oil change they told me and showed me I needed front brakes. They quoted almost $700 for two rotors and two sets of brake pads. I declined. They weren't able to remove my drain plug as wherever I had previously gone for oil changes, they had buggered up the drain plug. Mountain View did say they added several quarts of oil and replaced my oil filter. They were not able to refund my Groupon. They did say they could TRY to remove my drain plug but would have to charge me an hours labor at well over $100. Now here"s Mountain View's problem. They had a manager that quit at one store and the other location's manager was apparently on vacation. The guys left on their own were pleasant but definitely over their heads. Guys, do the customers intended jobs first before trying to "up sell" additional work. By the way, I had the brakes done yesterday by my usual shop for only $371 and change. I guess you guys wanted the extra $300 to split among yourselves. I wasted almost two hours sitting in the waiting room plus the time going to and from the first closed location, pretty much killing the day. read more

I went to fix a flat on my rear left tire, the tire was repaired however the shop broke my hub cap, I've taken that part off numerous times and its clear they weren't careful. 28 bucks for the repair is fairly reasonable however alot of shops will do for free. read more

My car was making a funny noise upon my arrival in Temecula for the weekend. I called to see if I could get an appointment on Saturday morning, and Jake, the very kind, friendly, compassionate assistant manager, told me I could drop it off with the possibility of leaving it overnight due to their busy day. I did, and like most cars, my car stopped making the noise upon my arrival. lol Jake and his car tech checked my car over with a fine tooth comb and found nothing wrong with it, assured me I could get home safely, and didn't charge me anything for the time spent on it. I cannot speak highly enough of Jake, his team, his integrity, honesty, and willingness to help me out in an unexpected problem situation. A tough find these days! read more

Since my truck started throwing codes after the bad alignment, it was suspected that the alignment caused it - and not "tire runout" as John suggested. It's a shame that instead of inspecting the truck first he chose to go on the defensive and blame the truck for the problems. I went to another shop today, Allen Tire & Auto in Hemet, and they performed the alignment - their tech said was 'pretty far off'. After he was done, I wasn't five minutes down the road and all four codes cleared off the screen and the truck tracks true and straight. I made a bad decision going into Mountain View, but a much better one by taking my truck somewhere else to correct what MV did wrong. This whole review could have been a five-star review if John had chosen to take the narrow path and put customer service before blamestorming. But he chose the easy path and lost a customer. He yelled out "be witcha in a moment". 2 minutes later, he kicked the door closed.... 5 minutes later.... Door still closed, no further response. 8 minutes later door closed.... No response. Today was quite a hilarious experience but I did actually appreciate the manager's honesty. He said that even though you make an appointment to get work done it is a first come first serve basis. He also said if I wanted the work done promptly that I should take my car to Valvoline. My experience here felt like a Curb your enthusiasm episode! That they also need more then two hours in order to do a simple oil change even with the notice of an appointment. I had let him know that the car had already been there an hour and a half with the other employee confirming this to him, he said that was not enough time for him and they were gonna go to lunch. This place didn't need its work to speak for itself, the manager let me know ahead of time. I purchased 4 brand new for my vehicle at the Winchester-Benton branch. Wheel balancing was not performed. Due to some vibrations felt while driving, I returned it to the same branch and was assured that all wherls are perfectly balanced, and was informed that I have to replace ball joint's and engine mounts which costs over $700. I took the vehicle to the Murrieta branch in Date St. They repeated Wheel balancing, and inflated the tires. Vehicle now drives perfectly. Thank you for the excellent work. read more

I got brakes done on my car here at their suggestion. First brake job on this car. They do the job I go on my way and they sound like they have rocks in them. Then a day or two following the started to sputter. I take it back and they make an adjustment that seemed to do nothing at all. One of the techs said don't worry it won't cost you anything cause your under warranty. So I go back a third time and this time I am told my rotors are toasted. And they charged me! The tech said he did not know what was causing the hot spots on the rotors. Now I don't know either but am pretty sure no hot spots before their work. Seems to me if my bad brakes were still operating smoothly (and they were, I didn't even know I needed brakes) then the rotors probably were too. I am pretty sure their bad brake job roasted my rotors and they charged me for it. Great job guys. This is my second Mountain View as another location Benton Rd. also screwed up badly!
