Although staff were clearly present inside, the front door remained locked past opening time and was only opened after I turned away from the entrance. There was no proactive acknowledgment of the delay, which immediately set an uncomfortable tone. Once inside, the interaction felt cold and dismissive. I had disclosed at the time of booking--well over a week in advance--that my vehicle is lowered. Rather than addressing this ahead of time or contacting me prior to the appointment, the concern was raised only after I arrived. A worker briefly looked at the vehicle and stated it was "too low," without offering any technical explanation, measurements, equipment limitations, or alternatives. The message was delivered around me and to the clerk rather than directly to me, which I found discourteous. No effort was made to explain why the service could not be performed, suggest another location, or offer an alternative. Feeling that my time was disregarded and that I was not being engaged with professionally, I chose to leave quietly rather than escalate the situation. What stands out to me most--and this is my personal observation--is the contrast with a separate visit by my spouse. She is Hispanic with a fair complexion and was treated with care, patience, and clear communication. Although the shop could not fully service her electric vehicle, staff took the time to explain the limitations and still offered what could be done. She later expressed how different and considerate her experience felt compared to mine. I am a Black man, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a college graduate--someone who believes deeply in the idea that this country is meant to be a place of opportunity, dignity, and equal treatment. I've learned that respect is not something you demand; it's something that's either extended or withheld in small moments. In this case, it felt withheld. Not loudly, not overtly--but quietly, through indifference. That may not have been the intent, but it was the impact. And in a service environment, impact matters. This experience could have been improved with proactive communication prior to the appointment, timely acknowledgment at opening, and a clear, respectful explanation of service limitations delivered directly to the customer. If there is one thing I learned in business school, it is that the customer is a priority and that a place of business should, within reason, always seek fair and reasonable accommodations. For that to happen, a customer must first be acknowledged and spoken to with basic respect. I had a very disappointing experience at Les Schwab after what should have been a routine service. I scheduled a 9:00 AM appointment on Saturday to have new tires installed on my truck. After a few hours, the shop called to inform me that my rear brakes were very worn and recommended replacing the rear brake drums, shoes, and hardware kit. I approved the work. When I picked up my truck around 3:00 PM and paid for the service, I immediately noticed that my emergency brake no longer worked at all. It had been functioning properly when I brought the vehicle in. I went back inside to let them know something seemed wrong. The front desk asked the technician, Greg, to come speak with me. Unfortunately, this is where the experience went downhill. Instead of investigating the issue professionally, he immediately became agitated and insisted the brakes were "self-adjusting" and that the emergency brake would begin working again after driving around to "break them in." When I asked him to explain how that would restore a completely non-functioning emergency brake, he became increasingly condescending and dismissive. Concerned, I contacted a Toyota dealership and spoke with a service advisor who brought a master technician with 28 years of experience on the phone. After explaining the situation, the technician clearly stated there is no "break-in period" for a non-working parking brake and that something was likely assembled or adjusted incorrectly. The dealership technician also advised me not to drive the vehicle because it could be unsafe. When I relayed that information to Greg, he became extremely defensive and began raising his voice, saying "Of course the dealership would say that. I've been doing this for 10 years and they don't know what they're talking about," before storming off angrily. Shortly after, the assistant manager Angel asked me to follow him to the shop where my truck was inside with the wheels and drums removed. Greg aggressively pointed at the truck saying "SEE!" but still could not provide any clear explanation for why the emergency brake no longer worked. When the parking brake was pulled to demonstrate the issue, Greg became even more upset, yelling that the brake was now "ruined" and again stormed off. Another employee stepped in and apologized repeatedly and explained there was nothing they could do until Monday. However, shortly before closing they told me that although they had reassembled the brakes, the vehicle now had no braking function at all and could not be driven. At that point the store closed, leaving me stranded with a truck that was unsafe to drive. I had to call a tow truck to have it transported home. The following day (Sunday), I had to hire a certified ASE mobile mechanic to come out and repair the brakes. He showed me that the parking brake had not been adjusted at all, corrected the issue, and restored proper brake function. This cost me an additional $500 out of pocket. What should have been a simple tire and brake service turned into a dangerous and extremely frustrating experience. The blatant disrespectful and unprofessional behavior from the technician was completely unacceptable. My family has trusted Les Schwab for years -- my parents, my in-laws, and several friends have all used Les Schwab locations for a long time. After this experience, I can confidently say none of us will be returning. At this point I expect Les Schwab to take responsibility for the situation and reimburse the additional repair costs that were required to correct the work that should have been completed properly in the first place. read more

I'm still up in the air on this business in general. The lower cost for tires and other services is not always worth the low quality of service. I don't think there has been a time I have walked away happy with ALL scheduled services completed. On several occasions they have made an appointment only to turn around and say the appointment was only for an inspection and estimate, I don't need an appointment for you to review the fact that I need brakes or tires or an alignment. I made an appointment to have the services done for what I stated when I called. Now to take a couple minutes give the once over and provide an estimate and additional recommendations prior to beginning the work is acceptable but not having a whole appointment for a quote and then making a separate appointment to have the services completed on a whole different day is highly inconvenient and inefficient. The management tries their best and they're never rude, I don't have a complaint about management at all. The technicians maybe...or scheduling I'm not sure where the disconnect is but how do I make an appointment for let's say an alignment to be done and then leave with the recommendation to have the alignment completed soon...make that make sense? Why wasn't it done like it was scheduled for? I don't know I'm still unsure if I will be returning. read more

I have always highly recommended Les Schwab to my friends. I have always been met with professionalism and superb customer service. This week I had an experience that initially could have made me change my mind and not continue to use them. I dropped off my car. I was requesting a repair. The gentleman that approached me when I came in asked what I was there for. His response to my repair was a BIG turn off. I still left my car. Later that day I received a call from one of the techs who was extremely nice and professional. I was seeing what I had always seen when I had gone to Les Schwab. When I picked up my car I spoke to the young man who called me. I thanked him for his call and told him what had happened earlier that morning when I first came in and how I felt. I told him that the way he had handled the call to me and his customer service made me change my mind about not wanting to return. I found out that the man I met when I came in to drop off my car was the store manager. I recommend that the store manager get some lessons in customer service if he wants to grow but also keep his customer base. read more

I understand that sometimes parts need to be ordered, but in this case, it doesn't seem reasonable to wait a full week for a replacement battery that was just purchased a few months ago and is still under warranty. A car battery is an essential item, and being without a reliable one creates a serious inconvenience and safety issue. Given that this is a warranty situation and not a new purchase, I believe a quicker resolution--such as providing a temporary replacement or sourcing a battery from another nearby Les Schwab location--would be fair and appropriate. You could improve by finding me a local battery in stead of making me wait for your discounted battery. The manager said that if I want one sooner I'll have to pay $165. My last service seemed like it was a huge miss on customer service and the Les Schwab service standards provided. Scheduled an appointment for break inspection/replacement and oil change. Couldn't find anything wrong with the breaks. I asked them if they inspected the other parts of the vehicle that could be causing the grinding sound. The technician at the counter told me no and that I wasn't specific at the time of making my appointment and couldn't assist me. I'd thought it's just common sense if the breaks aren't the issue and I'm reporting grinding sounds near the breaks/tires they would take the initiative and inspect the rotors etc and report the diagnosis to me otherwise at checkout. I also need a new cabin filter which I did end up purchasing and they didn't put my glovebox back on correctly after installing the new filter. Just communicate to another nearby technician that you don't know how to remove/install the air cabin filter on a Ford Ranger and that you need assistance instead of just dumping the vehicle back on the costumer and having them find out the hard way. I felt rushed and at unease of their customer service provided that usually is pretty spot on with past services I've received from this location. read more

Noah evaluate my tire (Tesla Y model), tried to repair the tire, was repaired in no time ( less than 30 minutes of wait from checking in to out the door). I was not charged of labor and parts not like the auto service in Costco. The almost $400 of tires parts and labor end up with just repairing the tire free of charge - Amazing!!! Told my wife my experience with Les Schwab, she was very surprised and very happy. From now on...we will be bringing our cars to Les Schwab for future service. This review is long overdue! They are close by to the house and are 100% reliable. I even had an issue with my coolant while I was pregnant and someone checked and showed me what I needed to do. They are busy for a reason. Best to call to find out what the wait time is and make appointments ahead of time if you want to come in over the weekend. My husband and I have taken both our cars in and every single person that works at Les is so gosh darn nice and helpful. I've dropped my car off, I've waited in their lobby where they provide free wifi, popcorn and coffee. The popcorn was a hit with my kiddos. I have had my oil change, brakes and tires fixed here all at reasonable prices. Some services were even complimentary. I am so thankful and appreciative of their services. My experience began when I called to get a quote for a leveling kit, wheels and tires on my 2018 Ram 1500. Shane was my first contact and he was absolutely awesome. I then went to Les Schwab the next day to see the tires that were recommending before I made any purchases. When I drove up to the business I was approached by Ryker... He greeted me and asked how he can help me, I was already impressed by this gesture since it literally caught me off guard. Shane was off the day I arrived so I was being assisted by Ryker. He was very professional and not "fake" as I'm sure most of us can see through the BS most of the time. I requested Ryker roll the tire I was looking at out to my truck so I can see what it looked like and he replied "absolutely". When we were bringing the tire back into the store, there was another customer holding the door open so Ryker could get the tire back in, when he said thank you to her for holding the door open her reply was "you guys give such good customer service here, I thought I could return the favor some how"... I took my project car to a shop for an alignment and wheel balance after installing new tie rods. After waiting for about four hours, they called to say the car wouldn't start even after jumping it , so they couldn't do the alignment. When I got there, I was able to start the car (simply turned off the interior blower fan to give the starter more amps) myself, but now there was a check engine light that wasn't there before. They claimed they couldn't do the alignment because the inner tie rod was partially unthreaded. Despite not doing the alignment, they still tried to charge me for it. I only paid for the wheel balance, but overall, the whole experience was frustrating. They wasted a lot of my time, and my car is in the same or worse condition than before. read more

I brought my vehicle in for a free tire rotation, like I have done several previous times. When I was advised of a $27 charge, I let the service tech know that I was never advised that I would be charged, and that I was never charge in the past. The advisor just said "oh" and that was it. No attempt to have a customer service recovery done. Unfortunately this type of customer service is becoming all too common. I am very upset with Les Schwab Tire Center in Temecula. I have gone there several times and have been happy. Always given good reviews for their service. They are now under new ownership and after today I will not be going back and recommend you do the same. Sent my teenage daughter in for a tire rotation and they said she needed 2 new tires. They gave me prices for 3 different tires and I asked for the least expensive option. I am a veteran and have always gotten a 10% discount when purchasing tires there. They changed their story several times regarding the discounts for military and then when the story was finally straight and we agreed on tires and pricing I hung up the phone assuming my daughter would be in good hands. She waited in the area an additional hour before they called me back to tell me they only had 1 of the tires they quoted me and tried to get me to pay twice as much for the next higher priced tire with no additional discounts to soften the blow. The original owners of Les Schwab would never stand for this level of service. I wish there was a zero star option. read more
