I reached out to these guys last minute with 3 or so days notice and they got back to me ASAP on Yelp messenger. After a few exchanges a date was set and my move was scheduled. This was my first major move and I thought I was ready! That was far from the truth. Luckily the Moving Forward team took care of me, showed me what they were doing, followed up every 30 minutes to ask if I needed anything, even went the extra mile to build me boxes and pack my clothing!!! That was not even the tip of the ice berg. Once they packed my entire house for me so professionally and neat, they arrived to my new home and put everything away so nicely. I didn't notice until that night but they put all my clothing in the closets and even put the closet boxes up on shelving. As they were putting together my beds they noticed one of the legs were broken. I knew about this and told them it was okay I'll try and fix it later. We moved in mid-August within Foster City. Luis and his crew were absolutely amazing! This is our third move in five years and they were by far my favorite movers. I was very pleased with the service that my family and I received from Moving Forward. From start to finish Luis and his crew were very professional, punctual, and polite. We moved a 2 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom house, from San Francisco to Stockton. After checking with several movers in both cities we opted to go with Moving Forward. We did not regret it. And, we would recommend them to anyone moving anywhere in the SF Bay Area. In retrospect the only thing that I would change, is that when Luis recommended a 3 person crew to move us, I, trying to save a little money, said that I would help. After he informed me that if I were to be injured or if my possessions were to be damaged while I handled them, since I was not under is insurance that he would not be liable, and that he did not recommend this course of action, I insisted. They were very flexible, showed up on time, were very upbeat and pleasant, the were careful with my furniture, while being very efficient on the amount of time for the move. Moving Forward understands the SF parking situation...and didn't require a permit which saved me a lot of money. I'm so embarrassed to say this review is way overdue! We hired Luis and his Moving Forward team in September to move us from San Francisco to Pleasanton. To say that Luis went above and beyond would be a gross understatement. If you're wondering if all of the five-star reviews on here are for real - believe it! We had so much more stuff than I ever expected when we did our walk-through. All the closets in our apartment somehow hid so much more than we anticipated. When moving day came we actually needed a second truck which meant another trip for Luis and his team. Luis never complained. He simply took care of it. In addition to that he brought us moving materials before her actual move date and accommodated a move date change on short notice. I just can't say enough good things about Luis and moving forward. If I ever have to move again - and I hope I don't - there would be no question about who I would call. I also really been trying to tell everyone I know that Moving Forward is the way to go in the bay area. They were super reasonably priced, were ultra careful with our stuff and again just did more than anyone could've expected as the move just did not go as planned. Luis and his crew were very courteous and friendly. They arrived on-time and moved us out of our apartment quickly and carefully. They wrapped all large items in moving blankets and wrapped with plastic wrap, loaded up the truck, and strapped everything in securely. We originally only had (2) movers scheduled but another mover joined then midway through for no extra charge. Luis was kind enough to throw-in four wardrobe boxes (worth $40) we needed because our new house is undergoing a remodel and we needed the storage space. The entire move took (4) hours. We hired Moving Forward to pack and move us out of our second story flat (~1300 sq. ft, 2.5 bedrooms, 1.5 ba (6 total rooms)) in San Francisco to Oakland. They did a FANTASTIC job! Luis (the owner) visited our house a few weeks before the move to assess what size truck they need, and to give us an estimate. Luis recommended that we have two of his employees pack our kitchen the day before the move, and four employees on the day of the move. The day before the move, Luis and one of his employees promptly showed up to pack the kitchen. Everything was thoroughly wrapped and stored in sturdy plastic crates brought by Moving Forward. On the day of the move, Luis and three employees showed up to pack the rest of the house and move us. They were prompt, courteous, careful, and efficient. As I mentioned above, they packed everything fragile in sturdy green crates. Everything was wrapped carefully. They had to navigate steep stairs on both sides of the move. When we unpacked, nothing was broken! I can't recommend them enough. We used other moving companies in the past but they have all been inferior to Moving Forward! They were professional, efficient, respectful, patient and incredibly reasonable. We realized upon move-in that much of our stuff was not going to fit, and they stuck around (on MLK holiday no less) to move the surplus items all the way back across town to a storage unit - and even provided advice on the type of storage unit we needed. I have never met a moving team that was so smart and considerate. We moved from SF to East Bay. And let me say that the move out of our large convoluted condo building is not straight forward. The price was very reasonable, they don't charge you for every little thing they use, the complimentary garment boxes were great. They arrived 20 minutes early!
