Wow! I had this place bookmarked and was really excited to finally give it a try. I am trying to eat less/no meat and thought this wild be a perfect spot to find something to fit the bill. I was excited to see some creative and unusual dishes, such as the quinoa lentil cauliflower salad. It had raw almonds and this amazing curry yogurt. It was unlike anything I had ever had and left me completely satiated. It is garnished with green onions, raw almonds and cilantro, so be sure to let them know if those things are on your "do not eat" list. The salad was vegetarian and GF. My daughter ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup. It, too, was delicious. They do rice noises that appear to be house made. It was a generous portion for the soup and the salad. A regular person might have been able to get two meals out of the salad, but I'm a bit of an oinker and finished most of it. This is an order at the counter and pick your seat kind of place. Very minimalist and not somewhere I would probably pick for a date night or special occasion. That said, for day to day this is an excellent option on Broadway. read more

It's good to know about this healthy and inviting place on such a popular stretch of Broadway. I like the warm kale salad and any of the sandwiches. The soups are nice, too; though the ramen isn't my favorite (I probably would have loved it before all these gourmet/specialty ramen restaurants showed us how good it can be). I'm just here to say that Moxie is hands-down the best place to get breakfast or lunch on Broadway. Their base menu is full of fresh, delicious dishes with plenty of vegetarian options. And, they have different additional dishes every day with seasonal produce - yesterday I had a peach tart and it was dope. Everything I've had from there is top-notch and once you try it, it'll quickly become part of your regular eating-out rotation. read more

I had moxie for the first time yesterday and was very disappointed. Its a cute place and the servers were nice. However, the turkey fig sandwich I ordered was not good. I couldn't finish it because the turkey tasted like it was bad or old. I haven't felt well since. If you feel you must eat there, maybe just avoid the turkey. read more

I live in Asheville but had to be in Denver in an area I had no idea about. Cheers for Yelp as it brought up Moxie. I loved Moxie, such a surprise. The food was so good, so fresh, with unique combinations. I highly recommend the roasted cauliflower salad - it was really outstanding and I want to figure out how to make it at home. Asheville is a great eating town, but I sure wish there was a place like Moxie there. read more

This place is SO consistent and wonderful. There aren't many establishments where I seek out the specials but this place really gets it right. From the decor and service to the food, its all excellent. I have been a fan of this place since it opened. Sadly, I moved across town and am not able to eat there weekly anymore. Stopped in to try something different (instead of Hornet or Punchbowl). You can't beat the breakfast sandwiches here! We had a salmon sandwich (killer steal for $7) and a cheddar and bacon ($5, really). Seriously. $12 for two excellent breakfast sandwiches. Add in a Big D's Cuban, which was fantastic, for a quick lunch break for three. The Cuban was super tasty and had all of the classic fixings. Total with drinks: $27. I know. Right. This is a place that could be hot or not, based on the general vibe of quick grab and go meals. But, they've got it! One of the few places I've found where you can pop in e really quick and get a filing but flavorful and fresh breakfast or lunch. The focus here is on sandwiches and they've nailed it. At least on the breakfast end.... At least with the green eggs and ham. The pesto on this 'wich is BOMB DIGGITY. Like, lick the platter clean and 'ask for a side to take home' good. Given that the two orders behind us were also for this sandwich it seems word has gotten out that is pretty fabulous. The side of yellow breakfast potatoes I had to round our the meal were not greasy, well flavored and the hot sauce was NOT Tabasco, but Tapatío or Cholula, near as I can tell. Bonus points for not insulting my inner Latina with Tabasco. The hot sauce also was served generously, so I could dip mis papas en salsa until my nose ran. Moxie has been well named and we look forward to returning when we want tasty food without long waits or excess grease. PS - the upcharge for gluten free bread is pricy but this stuff is very fresh, soft, and even impressed my glutinous dining companion. Can only speak to the popsicles here, but the homemade fudgesicles and orangesicles are a delicious, cheap ($2) little afternoon treat and served in an adorable little stone popsicle stand. The food here looks amazing (based on me creeping on nearby tables), and seems very reasonably priced (under $10 for fancy breakfast sammies), and I can't wait to come back and try some healthy fast-casual fare. I found Moxie as soon as I moved to Denver a few years ago. I'm a huge fan of their food and service. I've eaten here several times and the counter staff are always quick to assist and even check in with you after the food is delivered - that's not a normal fast casual restaurant practice. I haven't had to wait long to order or to eat. I am super thankful for the vegan friendly options that aren't just peppers, but yet super yummy ingredients that make a delicious meal. This place fills a serious sandwich desert on S. Broadway. I came here for lunch with friends- we had the chicken with tomatoes and pesto, lamb with mint, chicken with brie and fig jam- they were all equally delish, served quickly, with high quality bread, protein and veggies, and superb sauces. Tasted really great!! But was definitely more expensive than it should be, and for that reason alone I wouldn't come back. The sandwiches don't come with any sides so you're still hungry after spend $12 on a sandwich. However, the biggest issue was that my husband got food poisoning from something he ate here. He believes it was the spaghetti squash but i think it was his sandwich. It was the only thing we didn't eat together that day and the next day he spent all day in the bathroom. I hate leaving bad reviews but if it'll save someone from what my husband went through I think it's necessary. read more
