Gave this place a shot this weekend 3/18 with several friends and my mother. I had the chicken sausage and cheddar and it was pretty good. The o my complaint we had was the the sausage was WAY over cooked and chewy. The music is the establishment was annoying as the speakers were blown out and made an annoying sound which seemed to distract from the quaint little spot this place is. All in all, I'll go back. First off, the food was phenomenal. I will give it that. We got there on a Sunday right as they opened and there were already some people waiting to order. Our food was simple but delicious. The space was small but unpretentious. Not really a "brunch" style place as they don't have bloody mary's or mimosas or alcohol of any kind. Their lunch menu looked pretty good too. I am not a Denver native, but if I were, and if I lived in the area, I could see me going in from time to time. I usually enjoy my bistros to be a little warmer feeling, and this does not have that type of atmosphere. But that's just my personal preference. It's not the place to come with a bunch of friends and hang out for a while. It's a place to grab your food to go or eat it hurriedly sitting on metal chairs at a metal table. Honestly, I was so disappointed in everything at Moxie Eatery. The cashier didn't even look up from her phone when I walked up to the counter to place my order. I feel like I should have known better and left, but I ordered an avocado toast and a fruit bowl. The owner came in and saw my plate, and corrected the cook about something and still let the food out which kinda makes me feel they really don't care about the food either. The sunny egg still had a runny white which is was off putting, but overall the food was bland. read more
