I don't know what's worse the food or $25 for a glass of rose. Staff is so rude and needs a reality check. Constantly telling you to leave your table after spending more than $500 because it's been two hours. I've never had a single good meal here. Hands down, one of my favorite places to go to when I'm in Miami now. It has a upscale but casual atmosphere. I first tried Moxies at the one in Dallas TX where I live. I enjoyed it so much I knew I wanted to have lunch (and definitely HH) at the location in Miami while I was on vacation. My visit was just as good as the Dallas location! I was On my way to the airport and had my huge bag. The 3 hostess were super accommodating as I left it behind the host stand. I opted for the outdoor seating an because it was mid-day on a week day, I had it all to myself (for an hour or so). I already knew I wanted the calamari as that is what I got in Dallas and it was wonderful! For my main course I had the Salmon Avocado Cobb salad and it was so delicious! I highly recommend! My waitress was so sweet and we had a great convo about things to do in MIA and just what a wonderful vibe it is! I enjoyed my visit AND my meal! Would come back in a heartbeat. There are so many choices in Brickell that your head can spin trying to pick a place. Moxie's is perfectly located, and the food is very good. We were not disappointed. The place is BIG and so the staff really hustles around. The drinks were good, and so was the tuna stack appetizer. I thought that, for a restaurant of such good quality, they could brought butter, salt, and pepper to the table (there was none, and I had to ask) but that's not a deal--breaker. It's just something I thought they would bring, especially when my entree came with mashed potatoes and a ceasar salad. Went with 3 friends and enjoyed the ambience and lighting at first. Service was fine, server was really helpful and sweet. We had the mushroom rigatoni dish (don't remember the exact name) and it was delicious. Mashed potatoes arrived merely warm, the seasonal vegetables did what they're supposed to. My friends had the bolognese and they really enjoyed it. We also split a bottle of a pinot noir from Meiomi (I think) that was perfect. HOWEVER, not even 2 minutes after their said closing time, bright lights shot through the restaurant, signaling that it was time for us to go. A minute or two after, we were told that we had 10 minutes to wrap up by what I assume to be one of the floor managers. I asked, "we have a bit of this wine bottle left, can we finish it?" And he said yeah you have 10 minutes or you can take it to go. 2 minutes later the lights got even brighter. I don't think I would go back for this specific reason. I understand it was a Monday, but if your closing time is as soon as you kick people out that's not good at all. (The restaurant was closer to being full than empty). read more

I was sitting eating my usual steak tuna salad and couldn't swallow my food when a few feet away from me there were HUGE SNAKES. These men holding these snakes stand directly INFRONT of moxies ! They even walked up to me because they saw I was afraid and asked me if I wanted to pet the snake. Lunch consists of mostly burgers and salads. Dinner includes steaks, ribs, bowls, and fish. Drink menu is extensive. About 7 beers on draft and various bottles. They have a ton of cocktails to choose from. We tried the Poutine $11, Sushi Cones $14, Thai Chili Chicken $15, Pancetta and Aged White Cheddar Benedict $14, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding $9. The Poutine, Sushi Cones, and Toffee Pudding were our favorite bites. But everything had great flavor. Service is efficient. Staff is energetic and personable. I visited Moxie's on Sunday night for dinner for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by how good and enthusiastic our server was, which isn't always the case in Miami. Based upon her recommendation, I ordered the Red Thai Curry Bowl. It was just okay. I wouldn't order it again. I also had a glass of pinot noir and thought the price was a bit steep. My friend ordered the Seared Ginger Tuna Salad which I tried a small bite of. It was so good that I went back for lunch the next day so I could get more of it. It is phenomenal. It's big, fresh, light and flavorful. On my second visit, there were a couple of hiccups with our order but the server and management staff went above and beyond to make up for the inconvenience. Such wonderful service from start to finish. We came for dinner on a Saturday. They were slammed. The hostess, Nabilah, greeted us and informed us of the wait. It was about an 1 1/2. She was very attentive always asking us if we were find or if we needed water or anything from the bar. She was always on her feet and checking if any tables had become available. We got seated much sooner than we anticipated. Our waitress, who I think her name is Mel, was swamped but did her best to come check on us and take our order. We ordered the Rigotoni and steal bites. I honestly cannot even count how many times we have been to Moxie's. I think the month after they open we were there at least three times per week. I think everything about this place is awesome. The servers are all gorgeous and very friendly, the service is fast and the food is very tasty. If I did have to say something negative, it would be that I have had some things that have been inconsistent at times. However it really doesn't negate the overall great feel of the spot. The atmosphere is Upscale and relaxed at the same time. To start with they give you a choice of sparkling water or flat filtered water. I'm not sure I've been anywhere else that gives you the offering of sparkling water for free, but they do! They're happy hour is really great and the house white is a personal favorite of mine. Their old fashion is also really good and the drinks have been consistent time and time again. They have a 1 pound nacho dish that is humongous and always fun. on the happy hour, they used to have a fresh, made at the table house guacamole. Now they bring it out already prepared, but it is still fairly tasty. The one thing that I really did not like was the potstickers. They're pretty soggy and watery and I didn't really like the taste. Perhaps it's just me, or maybe it was a bad batch but I highly doubt I will be having this again. Their salads are really are good too. The Caesar salad is always amazing and very filling. Their kale salad is also great. Sometimes it's pretty hard to choose which one to order! Also the chicken Madera is to die for. If you haven't tried it you definitely should. I think the above review shows how into the space I am and it is complemented by the fact that I am the duke of check ins here. We will definitely be back again pretty soon [possibly even today for their happy hour]. Always thank you to the staff for being so amazing and friendly and making us feel welcome, especially since we are always here.
