They had so much energy, and by the end of the night the entire bar was singing along with them. It just felt like the kind of place where everyone was there to have a good time, and it made the whole experience even more special. If you're looking for something different from the usual bars in Toronto, I can't recommend Reservoir Lounge enough. It's a place I know I'll keep coming back to, and it's a night I won't forget.

We came to this Toronto location before the Taylor Swift concert, and I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like prime Soho House. A beautiful, discrete brick building with an old school interior. Whoever designed this one needs a raise. I'm so tired of the cookie cutter half-assed modern architecture. The ones in LA and NY now feel like it is just a bunch of dorks trying to be seen by God knows who. There is no soul in those locations. We grabbed a drink in the lobby and went upstairs for our 5pm dinner. I domed a couple of negronis and we split a margherita pizza and a bottle of pinot noir before our mains arrived. I got the rigatoni, per the waitresses recommendation because she had a thick Italian accent. Big truss. She wasn't lying either, that rigatoni went crazy. I took like 30 pictures before a staff member came over and said no pictures, as I didn't know that was still a rule here... please don't beat me up. We closed dinner with a couple espresso martinis before setting off on foot to go see Big Tay put on a show. She really did her thing. The service also left a lot to be desired, my biggest complaint was that it would take AGES for our food to arrive. In hindsight I understand why there were a lot of corporate gatherings when I was at the restaurant, especially attending around the holidays. I'm sure flashy performances and mildly exotic food would be a hit for the accounting team.

I'm surprised to see less than 4 stars all around. I made a reservation for 2 right at 9pm for late…read morenight happy hour. We were seated immediately and greeted by our waiter. Our food was great and the happy hour prices weren't expensive. The peach bellini is definitely worth the hype! The restaurant was VERY dim to the point where you might've needed your flashlight to read the menu. I loved the music choice. The crowd was mid 30s and younger which I liked. I fit right in!

I had high expectations for this place, having visited different branches with excellent service. I hope the management takes note of this and strives for service improvement. The restaurant's ambiance is indeed inviting, accentuated by the green artificial plants on the walls, which provide a pleasing interior touch. Our orders and ratings were as follows: Calamari: 5/10 Regrettably, it was neither warm nor hot, and the calamari was disappointingly chewy. Cashew Chicken Lettuce Wrap: 10/10 The lettuce was refreshingly crisp, and the combination of cashew chicken with lettuce was spot-on. Chipotle Mango Chicken: 10/10 A must-try; this dish stood out with its delightful blend of vegetables, rice, and chicken. However, there was a hiccup with our request for no butter. Chicken Alfredo: 4/10 Sadly, this dish was dry and fell short of our expectations, considering the difficulty of going wrong with Alfredo sauce. Lemon Basil Salmon: 10/10 A highlight of the meal; the salmon was beautifully juicy and delicious. I had anticipated a superior experience from Moxies. Unfortunately, this branch did not live up to the drive it took to get there. It's evident that server training is needed, particularly in terms of demeanor. We came to Moxie's the night of the Taylor Swift show. Three other restaurants had given us 30-45 minute waits. Moxie's was able to seat us at the wine bar immediately. Melissa--the bartender--took our drink orders, and got our food orders into the kitchen right away, so that we wouldn't have a long wait once we were seated in the dining room. Despite it being unusually busy in her section Melissa was efficient and friendly with us--and with other customers. When we got the text that our table was open, Melissa spoke to the hostess and seated us herself (even though this was not her job), to save us having to navigate the busy restaurant. She introduced us to our server-Greg-who was great, and went back to the bar. Near the end of our meal, she came to check on us, to see how we had enjoyed the meal. We were very impressed with her outstanding customer service, and offered to tip her separately, or pay her for our drinks (that we had had at the wine bar), so that she could have some tip, and she refused, asking us only to write this review on Yelp. The food was great, and reasonably quick, but it was Melissa's personal attention, and willingness to go above and beyond for the customer as well as her refusal of a tip that impressed us the most about our experience. read more

I usually like Moxies, but was very disappointed tonight when our group of four went for dinner. We were seated quickly, but our server didn't show up until ten minutes after we were seated. Our one drink (besides water) took half and hour to get to the table, and the waitress seemed to forget to ask if we wanted anything besides water. Our group had beef dips (mediocre, had minimal cheese and mushrooms and the au jus had to be sent back to be warmed up), a chicken quesadilla (very salty and average), and pork tacos (dry and blah.) One of us asked for lime wedges to try to spruce up the tacos, and the waitress brought them out in her hands, and placed them on the plate. She could have at least used a dish or glass instead of carrying them in her hands. For the price, I'd be hesitant to return to this Moxies, or probably any other. You can get far better food for less money. read more

Visited Moxies last night before the Paul Simon concert and had a great experience. This restaurant is one block off front street so kind of a well kept secret, when there is an event all of the front street bars fill up first, I suggest making a bee line to this spot as it is still a quick walk to the ACC or Rogers Centre. We walked in and were greeted right away and taken through the bar into the dining area. Bar was hoping, the dining area was a little more our groups speed on this particular evening. Our server Taylar was fantastic, super outgoing. Drinks came out quick, service in general was efficient. We started with a smashed guacamole which was really good. The mains were also delicious, we had 2 steaks and the Rigatoni, my peppercorn New York was great. Great food and very nice staff! Will be back when in the area again. read more

Held a surprise birthday party here for my sister over the weekend on Dec 16. Leading up to the party, both Sam & Jordan were very responsive and helped us set a prix fixe menu. They were also very sweet and accommodating to any specific requests that we asked for - which is a feat since we were a party of 25! The day of the party, appetizers and drinks were served promptly and the surprise reveal went seamlessly, thanks to the front desk and serving staff. The prix fixe menu was to everyone's liking and the birthday girl appreciated the birthday dessert at the very end. I want to extend my thanks specifically to Sam, Jordan, Matteo, Sean, Jessica & Jonah for helping us execute our plans and making the party a successful surprise! read more

Came here for a business lunch with a group of 7 people. The service was excellent, waitress is so pretty and explains things very well. The appetizer of fried dumpling was really good as I didn't expect a traditional steakhouse could have such good flavourful, the sauce is a little bit spicy but good enough. We spent 2 hours there chatting and eating and waitress was really good at regular checking on us. Food was okay but service was awful. They pluck these waitresses out of high school and dont pay them enough to care about getting an order right. I know that its a chain and that they cater to the lowest common denominator that does not care much for taste, but the food was akin to the kind you get after standing in line at a homeless shelter. My pasta was just out of the box and into the jarred tomato sauce pile with some tasteless Parmesan cheese, and my parter is pretty sure his seafood was frozen for a year. read more

A client and I came in during happy hour on a Thursday night. We were initially impressed by the decor, atmosphere and music. We were served by an energetic and very personable young lady that clearly showed a great quotient for hospitality. My friend had the mango chicken and I had the beef vindaloo, both tasty dishes. As for the food, I ordered the lobster avocado wrap but with the tiger sauce on the side as I was worried it'd be a touch too soggy. I think it was a good decision as the tomato and smashed avocado were sufficient to make the toasted wrap wet already. The lobster was decent - there was more meat than I expected, but some of the meat was quite soft (not al dente as fresh lobster often is). The bacon and toasted wrap helped add some texture mouthfeel, which I appreciated. For those wondering, the "tiger sauce" was a slightly spicy, sour mayo-based sauce. My friends ordered the Cuban panini and the sliders. Both found the food portions to be quite generous and were stuffed after the meal! Overall, it was a decent experience. The patio is a tad too close to the road so it can be a bit loud, and do be prepared for a wait if you plan on eating here.

It also didn't seem as evenly cooked as they're meant to be - though I understand they're done quickly and on high heat. I'd still go back, and worth seeing if they can get a better heating of the pizza next time.
