Came into Mozart Bakery to get some dessert before heading back to Dallas. Had the mini Green Tea red bean bread ($2.50) Rainbow cake ($4.99) The mini GT Red bean bread was kinda off. The bread was a bit dry and the flavors did not seem to blend together well. It came as a set of two for the bread so I got to share one with somebody and he agreed with me. The rainbow cake was actually not too bad. I actually don't know what I was expecting for the rainbow cake but I actually was surprised with what the turnout was for the rainbow cake. It actually tasted like a regular cake that one would get at an asian bakery and that all the artificial colouring all over would be, in hindsight, make it lose some of its..tastiness. The bakery is actually pretty spacious inside and has plenty of room where you can study or just talk with your friends about life, enjoy your desserts. They had a lot of desserts that you could just love... But I feel like the bread in itself was just ite. This is always my GO-TO coffee shop when I am in this area. Their breads/cake slices are always a good study/chatting snack. The coffee here is my favorite, especially if I want something a bit sweet. I really do recommend ICED HOUSE COFFEE, my absolute favorite!! Besides that, depending on when you come throughout the week and time, determines how many spaces are available. This place does get super packed during post-dinner and on the weekends so beware if you are planning to study here. It may get a bit loud and crowded. I'm a little torn about this place. Unlike TLJ thats usually located within hmart. Here you can actually order your food and dine in. They have many seating options that can accommodate even large gatherings. The prices on pastries and drinks are a little bit higher than other Asian bakeries but the pastries and breads have been always solid and fresh. But my 5$ tea was not very enjoyable. Way too sweet. I couldn't even finish and it was such a waste of money. Service is okay but don't expect overly friendly and accommodating customer service. I've been to this coffee shop many times when it first opened many years ago. I haven't been back in, in a while. Things I have noticed: Pros: They still are a cute coffee shop, clean, and they still have a large selection of bakery and drinks. Great place if you want to drink coffee and chat it up with a friend. Cons: In the booths, it is super dark, I can't read anything. It's not the best study spot in my opinion. They don't have any milk alternatives which hasn't changed since they first opened. There are a lot of people who are lactose intolerant and vegan. I am both. It was disappointing to hear that they only have whole milk. Even Starbucks has milk alternatives. Would I come back here? Hmm, well I rather go to other cafes first. I would recommend Tom n Tom. For the numerous times I've stepped foot into this cafe, I cannot believe the horrible attitude we just received from the cashier. I know that this bakery is located in new k-town but I didn't think speaking Korean was a requirement for good service. We ordered coffees and just asked which drink was which since there weren't any indications on the cups. The cashier mumbled something in Korean and walked off to talk to her coworker. Didn't think too much of it since I'm sure everyone has their bad days until I heard a complete 180 in attitude toward the Korean customer immediately after us, all smiles and respect for them. She then proceeded to glare at us from the counter and whisper in Korean. If you would like this experience, feel free to come to this cafe and get scoffed, side-eyed, and ostracized by the staff for not speaking Korean! I really am disappointed since I've come here for years just to have this awful experience. The drinks and food are usually tasty but quickly soured by this awful service. I recommend the Tom and Tom's or Ecclesia nearby if you don't want to feel like a foreigner. However, the cakes are worth ordering to-go. read more

I love the interior of this place! It's larger than it looks from the outside. There's plenty of seating for large and small groups. Bright and airy in the front and darker and cozy in the back. I dropped in for a sweet treat with my boys during one of our less busy homeschooling days. My youngest ordered a cup of chocolate ice cream, the single scoop was pretty large. My other son order a taro bubble tea and it he said it was sweet and creamy, just like he likes it. I was a little disappointed that there weren't any non dairy options for the milk teas so I did not order anything, the reason for the four stars. Every time I go to H mart I feel compelled to reward myself with a little snack. After all, I just accomplished something productive on my weekend, which included me NOT ONLY putting on pants and leaving my nice, warm bed, but shopping and buying groceries for the following week. Usually I get a simple pastry with maybe a little custard inside, but this time I went with the curry croquette. This café is spacious inside. The layout is very appealing and the employees are reserved but courteous. I was there specifically for macarons because I love sweet treats and wanted gluten free. I tried 3 flavors. Coffee, strawberry and Blueberry. Each one truly had the flavor represented. The coffee was my favorite. One thing about all three was the texture of the macarons, all 3 started to crumble after the first bite. The flavor was good though and I'm definitely going back. $1.79 each. This bakery Cafe is right across the parking lot from HMart where Tous Les Jours is located. Mozart does a better job of getting the flavors right on the macarons and for a better price than $2.25 each. Though interior is quite spacious and accommodating for small bites, I didn't find their bread selection to be amazing because everything was pretty standard sponge cakes, pound cakes etc. Their cakes were nice looking but when I bit into my sweet potato cake, I found it bland with little flavor and sweetness. I bought around 3 breads, 1 slice cake and an iced latte. The total came to be almost $18. Bread should not cost that much. Since Mozart's renovation, which added more seating and space for the cafe, it has been my go-to study cafe in the Hmart plaza. The breads are consistently tasty, drinks good, and most importantly their wifi works! Brown Sugar's wifi works sometimes, but cuts in and out all the time. There are a ton of tables and booths and a decent amount of outlets. One improvement that I'd recommend is that the booths are hella dark, to the point that I can't read my textbook so I try not to sit in them. Mozart is a nice bakery in the H Mart Carrollton complex, and has a decent selection of baked goods (although not nearly as much as the variety at other bakeries nearby). I purchased a small loaf of milk bread (thick sliced and great for french toast), and some homemade adzuki bean paste (in a rectangle), which is perfect when paired with hot matcha. The prices for the baked items seems decent, although the prices for the beverages seem a bit high compared to the size of the cups given. This observation is based on the purchases my friends made. One of my favorite places to study! I'll trek out here to Carrollton to spend a day eating yummy food and carving up on work. There's tons of restaurants in this area, so I used to come here a ton to study up until lunchtime. Study-wise (4 stars), this place is great. There are big tables at the front that are perfect for working either by yourself or in groups. Some booths have outlets. The tables in the back are big too but dark and with very dim overhead lighting. Those are preferable for chatting/eating or meetings! Snack-wise (2 stars), not a fan. There's a few really great breads, but compared to some other asian bakeries, this place often misses the mark. The taste or texture is often just not right, and often, the staff is rude and unhelpful. The main draw of this place is that it's close to restaurants but often times while working here, I'd get the occasional treat and more often than not, I was disappointed. The few things I've liked are the walnut bread (mildly sweet, great for breakfast), the tapioca black sesame ball, and the alligator pie (a must if you like pecan pie). I tried the Milk Shaved Ice and couldn't finish it: it had a really terrible grainy peanut butter powder on top that messed with the flavor. Breads from the day before are discounted in the mornings - take your pick!! The best study friendly cafe in the area with great teas, bread, and cakes. I always get a piece cake and tea while I study. My favorites are the chocolate mirror, blueberry cheesecake,strawberry shortcake, and strawberry chocolate. These are a must try! Personally, I'm not a coffee person so I usually get the teas from here. I love the matcha green tea and the flavored green teas. For those who like non sweet coffee, the basic americano is good option and for those who like sweet coffee, the house ice coffee is favorable. This is something the workers recommended. Other than this, their customer service is terrible, the cakes are not that good. But their hot drink is the worst hot drink you could have ever tasted. It's diluted and don't taste good at all. I love pretty much all the Mozart chain. We always get our family birthday cakes here. They are a bit pricey, but they are lightly sweet, fluffy light, and the fruit ones are very delicious. On top of the cakes, I always get some of their breads, macarons, and red bean mochi (it's soft and fresh, gotta eat it that day or the next, they don't stay soft). I def can rack up a bill at a pastry shop. Of course, I always get an iced mango green tea. So refreshing and the boba is usually good. Lightly sweet and soft and chewy. Came here with my girlfriend to catch up with a friend and were lucky enough to find a seat on a surprisingly busy Sunday evening. This bakery/cafe was very similar to other local bakeries such as 85C Bakery in terms of interior design, bakery items served, displays, etc. The bakery items looked delicious and there were many wide varieties. I would like to see more vegan and gluten free options as there were little to none of both. The staff did not seem very friendly or interested in their customers as they were all young teens who seemed more engaged in their own conversations and phones. For being marketed as a cafe, this is not a place I would recommend to study or read as it is very noisy and busy. The drink I ordered was a vanilla latte but was more consistent in foam content to a cappuccino. Can't complain too much as it tasted pretty good. The sponge cake and tofu chips I ordered were delicious! This place is probably somewhere I would come back to if I wanted to get the bakery items to go as I wouldn't enjoy sitting in house again. Again, more alternative dietary options would be nice and differentiating from other local businesses to give it some defining character and life would be a nice change. read more
