We came here on a Friday night in dec, without reservations, to drink some hot chocolate, enjoy some pastries, and see the Christmas light show. While there was a short line to order at the cafe (maybe 10-15 mins), we were able to get our order swiftly and there was plentiful seating on both the indoor and outdoor balconies for guests enjoying their cafe purchases. The overflowing parking lot and expansive seating areas can accommodate lots of folks (many of whom stay for long periods of time to soak in the lakeside scenery). It's well-known that the location right on the water is the main reason to come here, not because their coffee or food is the best around--it's fine, but sitting outside under the oaks next to the lake is the true attraction here. The Texas pecan coffee cake was pretty good, with a layer of icing midway down that added some soft texture. The cinnamon roll had a light smear of frosting (I'd prefer more) and was rather dry--the outer ring was so tough it couldn't be eaten, but inside layers were still adequately tender. A Vietnamese ice coffee and an April feature called the Bunny Brew were order on this mid-morning Friday. They were decent...but forgettable. It's the lakeside location that is memorable. read more

Not the first time we've come in and ordered coffee/pastry to be waiting like idiots for our food, see other people order after us and get their order before us, when our items can literally just be immediately picked out of the dessert case since it's cold and ready to go. This time wasn't any different, with us ordering on the right side, getting our coffee within 2 minutes and one of the dessert items; they told us our other item would be available on the other side (left); so we got our table and waited on the left. What perfect patio days are made of. There's plenty of outdoor shaded seating. There was a local musician on stage which created a very pleasant atmosphere. When I think of Austin this coffee shop immediately comes to mind. There was a bit of a line to order my coffee but it moved along pretty quick. The location is always a fun part but food matters: Sausage Potato quiche was 90% bland chunks of potato with a minimal amount of egg custard and maybe a tablespoon of crumbled sausage (waste of $10), for a dessert and bakery spot, why not quickly custom make each Raspberry custard eclair- anything wheat in the fridge becomes very dry and hard (waste of $7); and the ($5) decaf coffee was long cooked and not hot. The light show this year was super mediocre, It just looked like a bunch of random lights with designs flashing at once. We had high expectations as in the past the music was good and the lights went with the music.... We paid extra for the "unlimited" hot cocoa, coffee, snacks. We got ONE box of snack, ONE pitcher of hot cocoa, no coffee they were out in our area, by the time they stocked it was time to leave, I got a cup they were out of cream, took a sip anyway and it was probably the worst brewed coffee I've had in a while, I could have gone to stand in line at another stand or go in to the bakery for the cold brew or Christmas roast mentioned on the menu at our table (meaning miss the light show that I paid to have a table for). Their iced chai latte is a little bit too sweet, but the samosas are spicy and delicious. They're fried pastries stuffed with a spiced potato and pea filling. Samosas are 2 for $5 and they come with a side of chutney. It will be close to impossible to find parking in their small lot, but there is a huge parking lot across the street with plenty of open spaces (just be prepared for a short walk). My friends and I went for the annual Christmas Lights Show and it was amazing as usual! I really love it here! On regular days, I prefer to sit by the water because it's so calming but for the show, the best view is usually in front of the cafe. On regular days, they also occasionally have chill, live music. I don't drink coffee but their hot chocolate is usually very thick and satisfying. Chai is kinda average tbh but their pastries make up for it. This go around, we had some cannoli (10/10), samosa (7/10), and cake (10/10). Staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to tourists and residents and will keep coming back. read more

I really enjoy Mozart's and it has become a spot I bring family and friends who visit Austin for the first time. The parking can become a bit tricky during their hot hours but if you are lucky you will find a street spot right across. I have visited many times since I moved to Austin 4 years ago and I always really like it. Here are my thoughts: I appreciate the ample seating inside and outside of the coffee shop. I prefer sitting down by their picnic tables overlooking the lake on their top deck the best. Of course since most of their seating is outside, there aren't enough charging ports. So, I don't really recommend it if you need long hours of studying. Their hot lattes are my favorite and I always get the same caramel latte with a brownie. But their other options also look phenomenal. Recently I got to try their Smores hot choclate and it is one of the best I have ever tried. It was so delocious ad I love it. I will be getting it when I go back next. Mozart's is a good spot for delicious coffee, beautiful views and relaxation. Don't recommend if you want to do extensive studying due to the fact that it can get pretty loud when packed and the lack of ports. read more

First, this is a go-to spot I take my out-of-town visitors. The views over the lake are tremendous! However, it's also a great Sunday morning spot. There is limited seating inside, but I believe that doesn't matter. You *shouldn't* sit inside. You are robbing yourself of the draw of this location. So what does that mean? Charge your laptop. Don't come expecting to plug in. Be ready to work outside. Enjoy Austin! Or, better yet, ditch the laptop, come get some coffee and pastry, and sit with friends and enjoy the water. The pastries are incredible. Cheesecake, muffins, croissants--all very tasty and fresh. And the coffee--order whatever floats your boat (tee hee). You will be happy regardless. I prefer the chai latte. So good; just the right amount of spice. During the holidays, come for the lights and try their hot chocolate. On an average day, parking isn't horrible. We stopped by midday and were greeted by a festive atmosphere, complete with live music on the patio. Themed sweet treats added to the celebratory vibe, and the patio was bustling with cute dogs, making the experience even more enjoyable. We found free street parking across Oyster Landing, a nice bonus on holidays. Finally visited Austin all the way from Los Angeles. Came to Mozart trying to look for Elon Musk. I came on my last day in Austin before my afternoon flight. It was a nice warm day with live music! Which I've missed so much. I was a bit overwhelmed and quickly ordered a sweet cream cold brew. My goodness it was nice cold with a perfect amount of sweet and creaminess. I sat outside and enjoyed the live music and just chilled. It was nice, I probably could have stayed for hours and just listen to the next few artists. There seems to be a bit of stuff to do here. Loved finding this place near our airbnb! It had limited parking but there were some paid street parking and a bigger parking lot across the street. There was a massive line out the door so clearly it was popular. I did wish it had paper menus you could grab or a sign outside so you could decide while you were waiting. I went here a couple times to study and it is at a super nice location. I really like their tarts, especially their lemon tart. I also went to the Christmas light shows that they had on two separate days and it was really nice. The first time I reserved a table for $20 and I thought it was really nice. The lights were really pretty and I loved the live music as well. I went to Mozart's for the first time this year to see their light show. You book a time slot and then get an hour there before shuffled out for the next showing. We did a reservation for a 4 person table for 10pm. Pros: This was soooo pretty, it was definitely a nice vibe, large portions for bought food, lots of parking available across the street Cons: It is a hefty price tag for what you get, we paid $40 bucks for a table by the water and it ended up not being a great view of the lights, they also had people perform etc on the stage which you couldn't really see. Overall all I really loved the vibe but thought they should have given a cheaper price for the lower deck tables since the view was not as clear. That definitely wasn't clear in the map you look at of the venue. Maybe will come during the day instead read more

What can I say about Mozart's? I used to come here 20 years ago when I was in college. It hasn't changed much. Could use some updating inside. It was crowded even on a rainy day, and because the outdoor tables were wet it was hard to find a table for 8 people. No one really cleaning tables after people left. The food was good, we had the chicken chili empanadas, quiche, and pan au chocolate. The food is pre-made and they warm it, but one of the empanadas was still cold so we had to ask them to rewarm it. I tried one of the coffees in the airpot and it was cold and had not ben replaced. The patio is huge so you never have to worry about finding a spot or being too close to those around you. When it gets colder, the inside space is decently sized however it does fill up quickly. So you may have to get there early to find a spot indoors. The baked goods are all phenomenal, and the coffee never disappoints. Another thing I love about working at Mozart's, is they actually have multiple options of refillable coffee. So you can go up to the coffee bar and self serve yourself a refill of hot coffee, free. My only thing is that the wifi on the patio can be a bit spotty, but there is internet nonetheless. During the winter time, they have the Christmas light show which is always worth the watch and will get you in the Christmas spirit! I came to this place based on the yelp reviews. First parking sucks but that's not their fault. It's is extremely busy area so you have to be very patient. The line was out the door. There is a lot of outdoor area and a little patio. This place overlooks a small lake. I ordered 3 drinks a blended matcha, hazelnut ice latte, and vanilla latte. We also got the biggest Texas cookie there ever was. They had a lot of pastries that looked amazing. The menu is up high so you can see everything they have. The service is fast. It's a very busy coffee shop it reminded me more of a restaurant then a coffee shop. They had a lot of flavors which I loved and our order was right. Stopped in here over the weekend when visiting friends and they suggested coming here for a drink and maybe a snack. They have so many different types of drinks- coffees, teas, hot chocolate, etc. along with the widest array of baked goods you can think of. It was everything I could do not to order a dessert since we just ate lunch a couple hours before. I went with a peppermint Hot Chocolate. I am a type two diabetic, but sometimes I just decide to splurge and try to be as careful as I can. It came with crushed candy cane, whipped cream, and a minty chocolate that was just robust. I crushed this. While I was there, I noticed they were having some issues with the label printer. It just so happens that my company makes a linerless label product that would reduce the amount of liner going to the landfill, or increase the amount of labels per roll while making this process more sustainable. It was very serendipitous that I was there when they were struggling with the changeover to a new roll. I left a business card and hopefully we connect to see if I can help. The desserts- my friends had a pumpkin tart and it looked amazing. The line to get coffee was 50 people deep. They do a very intricate lighting show at night- so I was kind of happy we were there in the afternoon. The line moved fast, and we got our drinks and left within 15 minutes. A nice stop in the afternoon for our group. Support small businesses! For some reason me n my husband never liked any of Mozart's coffee( I have tried, drip, latte, mocha, Mozart's special mocha and cappuccino), but went to there light show last week, and both cappuccino and coffee was good, I think they have changed there beans, roasting or different mix for holidays, I dunno what it is but it dint taste how it used to and we loved it. My son loved the green chilli chicken empanadas. They're are doing awesome job with precautions taken for light show, you have to reserve the table online, you can preorder Mozart's at your table, which includes Bottomless Hot Chocolate & Coffee, Brownies and Holiday Cookies Giant Bavarian Cinnamon Sugar & Salt Warm Pretzels. While reserving it says 1 hour but it's actually around 45mins as they sanitize in between each show, you have to wear your mask until your seated. The only problem is the waiting area where they ask you to wait and do check in, you'll be standing very close with other people. read more
