I have passed this restaurant many times commuting to work and I've always wanted to stop in. F*** that! There were multiple dark hairs in my food and my bread bun looked shriveled up with green specks in them!! FYI I'm definitely not a brunette. I asked for the manager and I believe I spoke to the owner? If you can call him that. Very cold and didn't even comp me or reimburse me or even offer anything. Would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone I like. The reason I'm posting this is because of their sup-par performance, not compensating, the owners rude approach, and for the taint smell you are bulldozed with when entering. I come here weekly/ bi monthly for lunch. I was a patron even when Covid was still a thing. I came here when I was the only here. The food has always been fine....prices reasonable. The service has always been adequate at best. Today I ordered chicken and when it came it appeared not fully cooked with lots of red around the bones. I pointed it out to the server and was told all the chicken is pre cooked and the red is just blood that gathered around the bones. hmmmm well still it was unappetizing... bloody chicken yuck. After a bit of back and forth she agreed to cook it more. Now it's been over an hour since I ordered. This visit has been disappointing to say the least. I suggest to not order chicken here. Well you can get plenty of meat and potato dishes in this restaurant this is a nice fancy restaurant with quick service and a impressive interior. I ordered the Cubano sandwich and everything was excellent as was the refills of soda and the overall setting. Our 1st visit there, & it was for carryout. The order was done very quickly. It was a pulled pork sandwich with house made potato chips, the blackened salmon, & steak with vegetables. The food was decent, except 2 out of the 3 dishes were HEAVY-HANDED with the salt by average restaurant standards, to the point of distraction. Excellent as always. I believe there's always a member of the ownership team present, and that makes a big difference on how your staff services your patrons. Here for the first time but not the last. Too many yummy choices to make. Really good, hearty and tasty food. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and the restaurant is very clean. Service is quick and attentive. May sound weird, but not having to ask for drink top off/refresh go a long way with me. It shows me that the customer matters!!!! The Mediterranean Dip appetizer to start was the right choice. Flavors mixed so well and easy to share. But i may have to get my own next time so not to share..... my neighbor kept mentioning the goodness of his bacon wrapped meatloaf sandwich, and my Texan Mac had a nice bite with the Jalapeños, BBQ sauce, shoestring onions and pulled pork. Meatloaf was good and tasty but I can tell instant potatoes when I taste them. That was disappointing for restaurant named meat and potatoes. I think the owner was bartending when I was there.....seemed friendly. Our server, I'm sure she is a nice person, but really struggled with communication as English is not her first language. The language barrier made it hard to interact and thus we didn't get a lot of friendly banter. For the price we paid, I'd expect more...including real potatoes. 2 dinner entrees over $50, pickup. My meatloaf was overcooked, dry and tasted bad. The mashed potatoes tasted instant and were gummy. Veggies looked great but were not cooked well with no seasoning. Very disappointed because the food was good, customer service not so much. Our waitress barely greeted us and just asked if we were ready to order or not. My son ordered the pasta with vodka sauce. This dish is normally served with Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, basil, and parmesan. This dish is $19.... only comes with a tiny piece of bread, by the way, and the bowl was 1/3 full. When the bill came, I went up to the hostess stand because we hadn't seen our waitress even ask her about why the price was the same without 3 ingredients served. In fact, we had to ask the manager for water refills earlier because our server was so inattentive. When I went to the hostess stand and expressed my concern, I was told, "I'm just the hostess. You'll have to talk to the manager. " Really??? I've never heard an answer like that from a restaurant employee. So, she gets the manager who proceeds to tell me that's the price regardless of customer modifications. Unsatisfactory answer!! My son, being a picky eater, has modified dishes elsewhere, and usually, it's the restaurant that will modify the price. Would it have been so difficult to knock off a few bucks?? Because of her inflexibility, I'm writing this review, and we won't be going back, nor am I recommending that anyone spend their hard earned money here!! read more

GREAT conversation with George. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our food/drinks ordered from Doordash once and we happened to want drinks tonight. Me thinking it was City Works. I pull up and check my history. It was meat and potatoe, so that's where we went. We walk in and WOW the environment was fun and enjoyable. We sat at the bar the waitress was kind and gave great recommendations! Enjoyed many new drinks. Took a flat bread home for lunch for tomorrow. Tasted some of it there and wow! The freshness of the pesto chicken flatbread. I can't wait to go back and just try more!! read more
