It was quiet at it was not quite 4 on a Friday and we had very good service from the bartender who came to our table for drink and food orders. No tap beer and none of my 'cheap-old-guy-beers' like Hamm's or Old Style. But no worries - lots of good bottle and can choices. I had a Revolution IPA and my better half had a SeaBreeze! Amazing experience which included the best barbecue I've eaten in recent years. Imagine CHEERS' familiarity with a superbly prepared plate. I came in to try -- a first ever for me -- some pork belly. Excellent. With it, the pulled pork was perfect without any sauce. The ribs were as tasty as I remembered from my youth. And then, even with all of that flavor, the brisket was the best I've tasted. They have nice friendly waitstaff and VERY good bar food - especially for late night options. Nachos, quesadillas, wings, and burgers are all super good. I met someone for a business lunch here. Great service, great food and we will definitely return. Large bar with bar, high-top and standard tables. Also a very nice outdoor patio that is also pretty large. For a sport bar that was a bit on the dark side, the place is really clean. Very inviting. We ordered the skirt steak sandwich and the Cuban sandwich. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly and my friend was surprised at how good it was (given the bar was a joint). The fries were fantastic. Not standard fare by any means. My Cuban sandwich was done perfectly and tasted soooo good. I got a side of cole slaw which was huge and very fresh. Service was great and the price was great. Drinks and servers were good. The only thing is the music, good variations but they need to change the genre a little sooner. They tend to stick longer in certain genres than others. Back in the day I wasn't a big fan cuz of all the gangbangers in the area. The owner cleaned that up and has made this a GREAT spot with GREAT food. Seriously, the food is all good and is getting even better now with slow cooked BBQ items on certain days. The Latin Nights are super fun, they really turn this place into a club and the people love it. Depending on what you are looking for, Rocky's is versatile. If you want a chill, sit at the bar type of day/night, you can find it. If you are looking for a club night with old school Chicago house icons, you can find it. The first nite I ordered here. The food was good besides the rice but that is only because I don't personally like Indian style rice. Everything else was good. I don't eat pork, I told the waitress this and she added no pork to the receipt. The cook added pork anyway. I spoke to him and he blamed me and the waitress. Been going here almost every Thursday night with my graduate classmates after class for drinks and late-night food. The crowd is pretty low-key (more people show up during the warmer months, though) which is nice because we don't have to wait to play darts and get pretty good service. The various foods we've purchased over the months during our weekly gatherings have not failed to please us, although it IS bar food. The mixed drinks do need a bit more alcohol in them, sometimes. I've been here once when the dance floor was open (and it was way too damn crowded) but I don't remember enough to comment on it. Well, I must say that the atmosphere at this place on a Friday night was perfect. A lively crowd with a dance floor isolated from the bar area and outdoor patio was refreshing, as my boyfriend and I weren't looking for much more than a bite to eat and a few drinks. The place was dimly lit, the music wasn't overbearing, and there were pool tables, dart boards, and a nice outdoor patio. A very ambient space in my opinion. Given the calm albeit fun atmosphere of this place, I was very disappointed with just about everything else. They have a fully stocked bar, but the female bartenders that served us didn't know how to mix a half decent drink, regardless of how nice they pretended to be. I ordered a Malibu pineapple, which was served to me in an 8oz glass, with only 1.25oz of Malibu. The rest was filled with ice, and I needed to mix it myself before I could taste the pineapple. They charged me $6.25 for this drink, which I found to be quite an insult. My boyfriend ordered a draft of Blue Moon, which was only 12oz as opposed to the traditional 16oz of a pint. They charged him $5, which would be reasonable if he had received 16oz. The food was okay. I ordered French onion soup, which seemed to be a safe bet. It came out cold...I had to ask for them to microwave it. I'm not sure how you could mess up soup, but it definitely wasn't worth $5. My boyfriend's pizza was pretty good; it came with plenty of bacon, but he complained that the crust tasted similar to a potato chip...too crunchy. For $8.75, we can't complain. Overall, this place is "so-so". The food is mediocre, and the drinks are overprice and poorly mixed. The ambient atmosphere of the bar on this evening, though, would have me come back to perhaps try another drink and play some bags. read more

I used to love this establishment because it was a place to come and dance with my fellow Mexican friends who taught me how to bachata, salsa, and cumbia. Their $20 cover is over rated. I offered the DJ to give FREE lessons for bachata because dancing is my therapy, and I know it will and can help others. I came to my first dance lesson night, was paid and was ecstatic about returning to do it again. We had a blast ! Once I returned, I spoke to security guard John (who I have spoken to numerous times before) and had conversations with almost every security guard in the place. I always notified them when drunk chicks threw up in the bathroom or broke a glass. I truly enjoyed myself each time I came here. I visited the establishment 3 weeks ago only to be met with "Stand in line" after I was hired to teach Bachata. I dont mind following rules but I figure as a "new employee" this is not how one would be treated. I saw the security guard let his "homies" in without a wrist band, without waiting in line, without following the "1 in and 1 out rule", and without a face mask (as required by state law during this pandemic) . I am disappointed in the way you treated me as a woman, human being, and the new bachata teacher. Do better in communicating with your front line staff. Please consider hiring kinder security guards who can do the job without exuding their power over humans that come to support your business. read more

The establishment is good, clean and service wide is a 4 star...however they are money thirsty the mixed drinks are diluted to water or juice level (fish bowl or long islands). The entrance fee is way over charged...the prices on the food menu and drinks list are acceptable. As a latino I am disappointed to latino management running bars, clubs and restaurants. There is always a restaurant fee to the establishment, it should be ilegal to charge those high fees 20.00 per person. We had a birthday celebration with party of 10 and they charge 20.00 per head. We held a shower here today for my sister. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We asked for added tables for various reasons, and they spoke with us about the space and added whatever was needed. It is a bar space, so please be sure that will work for your group, but they pulled down screens so our party of close to 70 was separate from the general area. The food was great (we had pasta, chicken, salad, potatoes, & vegetables). We had buffet style to accommodate all our guests. You might want to bring table cloths to cover the tables, although we were fine without them. They did provide a few table cloths for the cake table, gift tables, etc. Two of the staff members went out of their way to help bring gifts to the car at the end of the event! This is my go-to spot for wings. They are the only place in the area open/serving food late at night. I usually do take out and the wings are ready for pickup within 15 - 20 minutes. They are conveniently located in an area with a huge parking lot so there's plenty of parking. It's generally pretty loud inside and busy Thursday-Satuday/Sunday. They have pool tables, an outdoor bar area, and also some sort of slot machine area. When I pick up on the weekends it looks like everyone's having a blast. They have a good variety of music. Some weekends they have a DJ and others it's a live band or some sort of karaoke(I think). Either way, there's always some sort of entertainment. Their staff is very friendly and you'll generally see the same employees every time. The reason I'm only giving them 4/5 starts is because their wings are not consistent. When I first started eating here, the wings were HUGE & slathered in plenty of sauce. Sometimes I end up with tiny little guys for the same price. They don't always seem fresh, or the inside is blackish. And a couple of times they were barely covered in sauce. They are definitely worth the try and I will definitely be coming back for more! I'm not one to complain because I know how annoying it could be, so I try to be as polite as possible when there's something wrong with my order.
