I called these guys to replace the polybutylene waterlines that were all through my 2 story house. They referred me to a sheet rocker and together they replaced my waterlines and repaired the sheet rock. (oh yeah, its was big job) They also put in new shower heads and updated my laundry facilities! These guys were good, it was a messy job but they were good about cleaning up and more importantly I haven't had a leak since. Where to start? I would like to say Thank you so much for the staff at MP Plumbing for the level of customer service that we received last night as well as today (on a Sunday) to help fix a large plumbing issue. Everything from the wonderful person that answered the phone last night after 9pm to Seth who called last night to make sure we were ok to wait until the morning. We had been able to stop the water leak last night so that the staff at MP Plumbing could arrive in the morning to figure out what was going on. We received a call first thing in the morning from Race. He called to let us know that he was on his way. After arriving he exemplified amazing customer service. He made us feel like we were his most important customers. After a brief inspection of the situation he quickly determined where the problem was and in a matter of no time Race had fixed the problem that we had had and he was on his way. This was the first time that I have ever had an emergency like this. I can say without question the MP Plumbing will be our plumbing contractor moving forward. Had a faucet refuse to turn off late last night and I had to turn off the water at the heater. Called MP Plumbing this morning. I received a visit around noon and the problem was quickly fixed. Another issue with an outside faucet was attended to . . . all my questions were answered to my satisfaction. I'm happy. My water is available again. I am calling these guys again soon to deal with another problem. And the cost was reasonable, in my opinion. I have used this company before and I have never been dissatisfied. read more

I had someone come out to do some odd job plumbing problems, new faucet, new hose bib handle, pipes make a noise when the outside hose is turned on, etc. plumber picked and choosed what he wanted to do, never did hear why the pipes make noise. I showed him my bathroom faucet and how the drain doesn't drain very well, passed over that one. He did the easy ones, charged a lot and left. Did the bare minimum, didn't really care. I called to have the kitchen drain cleared after I used the garbage disposal and had water spewing up. I was told it would be approximately 3 days before they could come but I received a call and Steve was here within 30 minutes. The job took 1 1/2 hours but all is well now. read more

Had them come out for a small leak in my basement pipe. I wasn't home when they came out. Before I knew it without permission they were ripping out walls and replacing my toilet, pipes in the walls and my shower head. They claimed it all had to be done because the pipes were rotting. Rotting or not, they needed to get my permission first. They left me with a mess. Holes in my walls, and shower that I had to hire someone to fix and a huge bill I wasn't expecting!! Do yourself a favor go hire a company with morals that as respect for its customers!! You don't have to settle. read more

I hired MP to clean my 4,500 sq ft house drain pipes. The workmanship was warrantied. We went out of town and came back to a clogged drain pipe. I called they're office and was hung up on 3 times. All I wanted to do is have someone come that same day. They had 3 trucks on the same street that I live on. Then my wife called and asked for someone to be sent out. They told her that we would have to pay for overtime to send someone over. Instead we asked for their service manager to call us back. The owner, Rick, called back. He listened to our complaints, but he refused to send someone over. After all these attempts, and Rick not even wanting to send someone over, I have to file my FIRST online complaint. I hired MP Plumbing for a fairly straight forward job. Ryan came and did a professional work. I had 2 jobs in mind. One was to fix a leaking pipe and the other was to install a new faucet. Unfortunately I did not buy the right faucet. Ryan said instead of charging 125$ again, he will continue the job if I schedule him again. I did and he finished it in half an hour and billed me only for that half hour. Will recommend them. read more

Busted pipe in crawl space. Servpro came out to clean up water and lay plastic (They did an EXCELLENT job). Called MP to come out and fix pipe. Rob (Ron, Rod?) showed up, walked into my house (didn't knock) did not put boot covers on, lays on the floor in hallway to look into crawl space, puts dirty boots on wall (prints are still there) says...Oh cant fix it, we need plastic down and duct work out of the way, Servpro offers many suggestions as to help. He refuses to do any work even after the offering of help from Servpro. I had to leave the room, very upset. Rob (Ron, Rod) says to Servpro "Tell her I wont charge for coming out" and leaves. I contacted another company that came out several hours later (had to pay emergency fee) to fix pipe. He had the pipe cut out and replaced in under 30 minutes. NEVER, EVER will I use this company and neither should you! read more

Save your self lots of money! Hire a professional the first time. My brother thinks he can fix anything. If he can take it apart, he thinks he can fix it. Well, guess what? Guys don't spend 4 years in a plumbing apprenticeship school for nothing. On the job experience adds a lot too. Well, back to my brother. A leak in the wall, no problem. He proceeds to tear out the wall to fix the leak. Guess what! The leak wasn't there. So he tears a hole in the ceiling. My, my, it wasn't there either. He pulls apart the shower valve in the upstairs bathroom. Wraps it with some goo or something, puts it back together and Voila!... it still leaks. Finally we decide to call some one who knows what they are doing. We called MP Plumbing in Clackamas. They send this nice guy out right away. He knows immediately what the problem is, explains why it showed up downstairs first, fixes the shower AND finds that there was also another leaking spot, fixes it all up in no time at all. Now we have to pay for all of the damage that my brother did to all of the walls and ceiling but oh well. Lesson learned. I'll call MP first next time. NOT my brother. read more

We were having pressure problems with our house, and a plumber came out to fix our shower. He ended up breaking a pipe in the wall and poking holes in the ceiling downstairs to drain the wall. He did replace the shower cartridge in the course of flooding our wall, and installed the cartridge backwards. I called the owner and asked him about the repair and he was very nice on the phone and said he'd come take a look and he thought that poking holes in the ceiling was not normal, but the pipe breaking was a risk we ran with doing any plumbing. When the owner of the company did come to the house I showed him the damage, and he wasn't as magnanimous in person. He said in so many words that there was nothing he could do for me; He did offer a 100 dollar credit, but that wasn't worth it because his company was "300 dollars into it" which is odd because I paid them the amount for the "repair",so I am 300 dollars into it, not them. When I asked if there was anything else we could do to rectify the situation he then told me that if we tried to sue him for the damages we'd very probably lose. I t I asked him for a quote to fix the rest of the house and address the pressure problem, and I haven't heard from them since. The owner seemed to have zero interest in making sure we were at least even a little ok with the way our house was left, and said in so many words there was nothing he would do for us. Now we're out $325.00, the hot water is where the cold water used to be in the shower, we have a broken shower handle, a hole in the wall and screwdriver holes in our ceiling. My stupid mistake (besides calling them in the first place): I actually signed and paid the repair bill after the fact even though I watched the repair guy write up everything after all the damage had been done. A word of advice for new homeowners out there: If you're not happy with a repair job, don't pay them until they address your issues. I paid them right after the damage and because I was ignorant pretty much guaranteed full immunity for MP plumbing. Now we have holes in our ceiling, our plumbing still needs to be replaced, we still have repairs that need to get done, and ZERO leverage with the company. I'd stay far away from this company. read more

We called MP Plumbing to fix a insta-hot hot water heater at my business. I was out of town when it broke, and we explicitly told them to call us if it looked like it would cost more than $200. They never called and we got a bill for $450. In my opinion this is really inexcusable. But wait, there's more... I made the mistake of leaving a check for them, so they got paid before I could argue my case. For the past three and a half months I have been calling Mike at MP Plumbing to try and reconcile the situation. He always acts confused, says he needs to look into it, and never calls me back. Then I call again and the cycle repeats itself. This has happened about 5 times. Mike - if you're reading this, please do not call me. It's too late to make this right. I will eat the money you guys overcharged me in hopes that I can warn someone else on websites like this. read more

Great job by the company. We had an emergency situation at our house on a Saturday afternoon and needed someone out immediately. Nick came out and did an excellent job to fix the problem as well as provided some very insightful information on certain pipes within the house. MP came out after the leak was found to repair. Showed Steve where they found the leak and he said that "utilities" had to come out to be mapped. When I called in, they said this had to happen, so I'm not sure why they didn't order it then. Instead, Steve had to order it and I had to wait 4 more days to get the leak fixed. Michael came out, found the leak and fixed it that day. Would have given 5 stars had they ordered the mapping when I called, since they know they can't work without that being done. read more

Ryan was patient and dedicated in finding and then repairing a very tricky leak that we had in between floors--imagine that! He did excellent troubleshooting and problem solving. I have used MP Plumbing in the past and I have been satisfied with their work. However, today I had a terrible experience with the owner of the company. I had called all last week, leaving messages for him personally to please call me back. I never received a call, so I called the receptionist again and I made an appointment for a plumber to come out to my house. Today, Rick, the owner of the company called me yelling at me, and telling me that the plumber was not going to come out today. He told me that I was lying to him, that I had only left one message (that is not true, but he didn't respond to it either.) He told me that I wasn't worth the phone call. To be fair, he was probably having a bad day. However, I am not the one that was causing his bad day. My project was not a plumbing project, but I told the receptionist that, every time I called. I also, said so on each message that I left Rick. He could have calmly and in a respectful manner said that he couldn't help me, and maybe even point me to someone that could help me. He chose not to handle it in a manner of a respectful business owner. I have never been so terribly by someone that I was totally prepared to pay for the services that I requested. You just don't treat your customers, or anyone for that matter, that way. I will never use this company, nor ever recommend their service to anyone. I have never left a negative review, but Rick's behavior was so over the top rude, that I didn't want that to happen to anyone else. read more

At the end of the day today I thought I had an emergency and after calling a few plumbing companies thought I was going to have to deal with almost no water pressure in my home for several days. MP Plumbing was the only one that offered after hours service and I was so thankful when Tim arrived within an hour. He quickly analyzed the problem and it was a very easy fix, so MP reduced the after hours service charge. Great Customer Service and Tim was professional and helpful. Woke up on a cold Saturday to a geyser of water shooting in my front yard. Got the water turned off and called my home warranty. They assigned a contractor who cancelled twice (Saturday and Sunday) so off to search yelp reviews I went and found MP Plumbing. Nick called quickly and was so understanding. He assigned Seth to come to our house and he was here within an hour of my call with Nick. Seth was super nice and fixed the problem very quickly. Awesome service and nice people. i'm not sure how we first got the MP name. We used them 7 years ago when we found the gas flame exposed on our water heater. Our home was new and it had been installed improperly by someone else. This week, I found the boiler room flooded from a corroded extension tank on the hot water heater. MP came out the same afternoon and replace it. They also repaired a cracked hose bib. Explained everything & alternatives with trustworthy recommendations. Not cheap, but neither was the work they did. I wouldn't bother trying another plumber again. read more

Terrible experience with this company, not with the work itself but the scheduling. We recently bought a new house and wanted to replace the electric stove with gas, which required running a gas line into the kitchen from the garage. Someone came out within a few days to scope out the work and put together an estimate, and said the office would call us soon to schedule the work. We waited a few days, never heard anything, called back, left messages, finally when we were able to schedule the work it was over a week out. Finally they sent Ryan out to do the initial work. He was great, very professional and friendly, did great work. He said they would call the City inspector and then we had to call back after the inspection was complete to schedule the completion of the hook-up. The inspector came right out the following morning, after which we immediately called the office back for the final appointment. They said the earliest available time was another five days later. We waited until that day and when we hadn't heard anything after a couple of hours we called the office, who said the appointment wasn't on the schedule at all. If we hadn't called, we would have waited all day for nothing. They finally did get Ryan back out to finish the job that day. Then when it came time to pay the bill, it was much more expensive than we had anticipated, at which point we realized we had never even received the bid. Of course that was partly our fault for not asking for it, but it also shows poor follow-through by the company. Because of all this, we spent three weeks in our new house without a stove or oven. read more
