Really like the sesame bread
Vu N.

I been seeing sesame baguette offered at Mr baguette so I had to make a stop. They had a combo. 12.50. That comes with a drink. Either coffee. Juice or even smoothies. Good deal I think. A dollar extra for the bread I think. But it was worth it. I loved the texture. It was like a hard sesame bread (banh tieu ). Made into a banh mi. The fillings were great. I do wish they had pickled daikon. Only carrots here. Overall excellent sandwich. Especially with the sesame bread

The promo -- decent Vietnamese coffee with large croissant.

Calling all Bread Lovers (aka me, too). I'm Queen of carbs. I know Mr Baguette but never been in until now. The place is quiet and clean. I ordered the promo deal -- iced coffee with a pastry. I got the croissant. The main reason for the rave is the long French roll. If you're a fan of soft, doughy bread (like me) with just the right touch of chewiness, Mr Baguette's Soft Bread Roll is a must-try. This humble 2-feet long roll perfectly baked with a light golden crust that gives way to a tender, cloud-like interior. I think there's a hint of buttery and sweetness. What really stands out is the texture. Unlike other rolls that can lean dry or overly dense, this one is delicately moist -- at least eaten fresh out of the oven on the first day!!!

Got the #1 special to go with four different cuts of meat (e.g. ham, pate, headcheese, meatloaf) on a French baguette. I opted for all veggies including cilantros, carrots, jalapeno and cucumber. The baguette itself was freshly baked, with a slight crunch and the meat tasted very good. The only thing is I wish they provided more mayonnaise and an option to add hoisin sauce. Other than that, it was very good and service was fine. Ambiance is okay, but suitable for ordering takeout.

Good bread, good service, clean place. I was bummed they didn't have sesame seed baguette available

Pate & Pork Meatloaf w/ French Baguette

Hard for me to try a new Banh Mi place and not think about my go-to. I got the Pate & Pork Meatloaf w/ French Baguette (Banh Mi Cha Lua). My favorite cut of meat is the cha so it was a bit hard for me to figure out which one on it was on the menu. Thank goodness I was able to order in Vietnamese! The banh mi and meat itself was pretty good, just nothing too special. The meat was good and plentiful, but the bread was a bit hard like it lost it's crunch and soft inside. I wouldn't mind coming back, but only if I had to. It was still a great meal!

idc what anybody says. this is the best banh mi ever. i could never get sick of u Mr. Baguette. i always get the #1 special with veggies on the side! it's my favorite and it has never let me down in my entire life. i grew up eating this and will continue to grow up eating this :) the ladies at the counter are friendly! service is super quick and they get you out of there fast there are no chairs or tables inside to eat. it's a grab and go spot! i usually just take it home to eat 10/10

We came to Mr. Baguette just for coffee today, and it still tastes exactly the same as it did five years ago--delicious and consistent. We always make a point to stop by for their bánh mì and coffee whenever we're in the area. A friend introduced us to Mr. Baguette years ago, and we've been coming back ever since. The quality of both the bánh mì and the coffee has remained top-notch over time. Highly recommend!

The pork paté chaud & hot coffee set and #1 special VNese bánh mì

I enjoyed this place for years cause of the politely, friendly, courtesy and helpful staff. The place is small, bright, lean cut , friendly space with plenty parking spaces. All foods are to go or quick eat at the high table there against glass window with no chair. I don't like their bread much since it pre baked (frozen) or half way baked then baked the rest on the spot. The meats are quite pleasantly enjoyable and tasty. The cold meats & cold veggies against the warm bread with light butter and pâté are delightful delicious. If you order hot coffee, they will make it on the spot and very good. Their menu have plenty of choices and with 2 type of breads (VNese & US) plus they do have pastries, coffee and juices too. I used ordered the Saigon bacon (pork belly, typical VNese meat for banh mi) but the price had gone up $13 for it...I also enjoy the combo or special #1. Their paté chaud (pork or chicken) is fantastic. Buttery crunchy crush and tasty filling - and it's the biggest size I seem so far too. Yes the prices are on the high end, but worth it once or twice a month (if you give up something for it). I got their special offer coffee & pastry set for $6.50 for hot coffee ($7.50 for iced coffee)...paté chaud & hot milk coffee and #1 special VNnese banh mi for total of $15 (not including tip).

Bánh Mì Sandwich. - Mr. Baguette. Westminster, CA. 2024
Birdie M.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, friends would occasionally surprise us by leaving bánh mì sandwiches at our front door as a random act of kindness from their favourite shop, "Mr. Baguette". For the uninitiated, a bánh mì is a sandwich popular in Vietnamese cuisine served on a baguette filled with meat, a variety of fresh vegetables (e.g., pickled carrots & daikon, cucumber, pepper, cilantro, etc.), condiments, & more. I'd eaten bánh mì from a few other popular chains, but for some reason the bánh mì sandwiches from "Mr. Baguette" just seemed...better. Fast forward to 2024...When we finally visited "Mr. Baguette" in person, we were pleasantly surprised. Located in the Little Saigon area of Westminster, California, this location of the "Mr. Baguette" chain is tucked away in a modest strip mall, & if you're driving too fast you just may miss it! Upon entry, we immediately noticed that this shop offers a different experience compared to other popular chains we've frequented. During our visits to "Mr. Baguette," it's been pretty low-key & quiet. The take-out only shop is very clean, & (to date), the polite staff handle your food in a sanitary manner, wear face-coverings/masks & gloves, & have maintained the plexi-glass barriers. Their efforts to keep customers & staff safe (rarely seen these days) are very much appreciated --- especially for those who are immune-compromised. Thank you so very much for caring about the health & safety of your customers & staff! The nice variety of bánh mì sandwiches offered at "Mr. Baguette" can be customized with your choice of breads, meats, condiments, & fresh veggies, & they are more than happy to cut your sandwich in half. They even offer faux "meat" options (e.g., vegan chicken, ham, & turkey) for non-meat eaters! The sandwiches we've enjoyed here have always been fresh & delicious, & the baguettes are wonderful. I only wish they would offer gift cards or certificates...it would be great to share the love with others! I'm a fan!

1. The Banh Mi was delicious, and I love that it was cut in half! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! 3. The staff was friendly and very quick with my order! Note: There is no seating! There is only a standing counter that fits two people! Photo: Thai Tea and Pate Ham Banh Mi

With cream cheese spread! Very refreshing!! Perfect for a hot day! Tasty too! My sandwich was a steak, steak sauce a Either onion rings on crunch roll. Awesome. Super fresh. Tastes all went together perfectly. Both sandwiches were so big we could only eat 1/2 at a time. An easy tip. Wrap the remainder in foil and the bread stays soft. Can't wait to eat the rest. I came to try Ike's because I let one of their workers go ahead of me in line at the market. He described a few of the sandwiches and I was intrigued. Nice job! We may stay with Grub Hub but the sandwiches we got are worth it and looking at the menu, they have many veggie and gluten free options. Next time I'm getting a cookie!

It's a pulled chicken sandwich that is absolutely delicious--honestly, it's the most unique "actual" sandwich you can get in the area. The Perfect Order: * The Build: You have to get it on Dutch Crunch bread with no tomato. * The Flavor: The Dutch Crunch is amazing, especially with the honey on it. The sandwich itself is almost like a chicken sloppy joe--it's bomb. * The Perks: I love that they still include those little caramel apple suckers with the order. It's a signature touch that I hope they never stop doing. * Rewards: Their point system is very favorable. I frequently get free drinks, chips, or discounts on my sandwiches. The Critiques: * Ingredients: Like a few other spots, this one makes me feel a bit "off" afterward. Since the meat is tossed in sauce and they add more to the bread, I suspect there might be some MSG involved. * Pricing: Things are getting expensive across the board, and I feel like most places--this one included--are overcharging by about $3. Five stars would only be achievable if the pricing was more reasonable. Final Thoughts: Despite the price and the "food coma" afterward, the #111 is too good to pass up. It's a solid four-star experience every time.

It was a late lunch so I called to see if a reservation is needed for 2 ppl. Not at all so we jumped into the car. Such a wonderful restaurant in an unassuming plaza. Lots of parking. There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That was so not expected. Pasta and the pasta sauce were amazing. Very freshly made. Dishes were made to order only and not sitting around. I asked if they were doing something special for birthdays and I pointed to my mom next to you know, the waiter came out with fresh homemade Tim. They also sing to my mom wish she was so sweet. I am loving this place and will be coming back. Thank you so much for the staff for making my mom feel so wonderful on her birthday. The food was amazing Services amazing. The parking is easy in a small shopping center,, we didn't even need to use Pym particles to shrink the car to fit into a spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so we chose outdoor seating, so we could dine in alfresco and the service was excellent. Both the main server and her assistant consistently checked in on us and made sure our drinks were filled. Service is very friendly and they basically had Spidey-sense for exactly when we needed refills. We ordered their chef special steak, which is an Argentinian grilled ribeye, but with an Italian sauce. We also ordered the shrimp, which is also a fusion of Argentinian and Italian. The flavor team-up was so good it felt like Tony Stark and Bruce Banner working together in the lab. For an appetizer, we got an empanada. This is one of the best empanadas we've had, as the crust was very airy and crispy, but not heavy and overly dense. Excellent texture and flavor,, honestly mighty enough to lift Thor's hammer tbh. Also, ordered Argentinian sausages. Excellent texture and bold flavor. It may not have a spicy kick as an Italian sausage, but quality meat and insides. Dr Strange would happily take us on a tour inside and out of this sausage with his yellow portal openers. Oh wait, we are the sausages, so guess he can't. Interestingly, enough, we didn't think that bread could be so excellent! We are big fans of French and Vietnamese style baguettes that are slightly crispy on the outside, but very light on the inside. The bread here was crispy on the outside, but also light and a little chewy on the inside, but in the best way possible. So it has its own flare and flavor. We asked, and they indeed bake this in-house, and you could definitely tell! They mentioned that they make their sandwiches with this baguette bread that is baked on premise and in-house, so we will definitely have to come back and try it again. That bread is basically the reality Infinity Stone of the menu. Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent ambience! Kinda as relaxing as chilling at the Avengers compound after a long mission.

I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster. Fries were good and crispy but the cheese wasn't melted well. Lobster is thrown on there and I think it would be better with cheeto dust versus the random cheetos thrown on top. Fish tacos ($15): You get three tacos which is decent pricing. The fish was crispy and flavor is basic but good. All in all, a good spot to get your lobster roll fix without having to drive too far!
