Grabbed a few outdoor rocking chairs with a little table to rest our coffees on and enjoyed the beautifully manicured seating area watching the ducks, geese and birds while talking away and watching the sun set. To be honest I was kind of wishing I had brought a change of clothing to go into the restaurant but I was in board shorts, Crocs and a rash guard. However, the coffee and atmosphere was the perfect ending to a great day. I highly suggest that you not only enjoy the Old Grist Mill Tavern, Gathering Grounds and Four Echoes Vintage but to enjoy the beautiful property that is well cared for. The owner of the building also gave us a tour of the basement. If you are familiar with the history of the Lizzie Borden case, the doctor who first viewed the bodies of the murder of Andrew and Abbey lived in this house. There is also a horrific murder that took place on scene in the basement where unfortunately a mother took her and her own children's (2/3) lives.
