After much fanfare from others on this site, we tried Mr. B's Burger Pub on Pioneer Parkway (Pantego) last night. We got there and sat down at 6:15. Had a beer and ordered two burgers. Then we waited. Ordered another beer. Waited some more. Called the server over, who said they were busy. (It was a Thursday evening at dinner time. The tables were about two-thirds occupied. Busy, really?) Waited some more. We then watched every single table that came in after us get their food. Waited some more. Watched a couple eat their dessert before we got our meal! Finally at 7:10, we got our two burgers--without much of an apology! The burgers were dry, expensive and average at best. No help from the server to entice us to return (maybe a comped beer or burger, at least?) These are hamburgers, people, not rocket science. How difficult can it be!? Would not recommend the place and will not be going back there. read more

We've found our local spot! This place has great burgers, tons of food options, outstanding service, and hella cheap beer on tap. We've come here a couple of times, and both times are amazed that we can get beer so cheap - and even some local craft beers that I guarantee other local spots are charging double the price. (Wait, maybe I shouldn't be saying this? Mr B's don't ever change!) They've got tons of fun burger options, and it just feels like a cozy little diner. This is a nice spot for burgers and more. The menu is extensive but my son and I were wanting burgers. It's a small homey place, well decorated with local things and sports things. I ordered the Half-Pound Jan Burger and my son had the kids burger (same meat just smaller party). The burgers come with fries. The Jan Burger was good. I think this was my first time that I had a burger with cream cheese spread with roasted peppers. The service and atmosphere was good. We waited. Little bit for our burgers but it's understandable if it's a half-pound of meat made fresh. I would come back to this burger spot if I'm back in this area. read more

We had passed by Mr. B's several times and have wanted to stop in to try the burgers. We decided to visit the restaurant on a Tuesday which is "Senior Day", buy a burger, get a burger free! What a deal!!! Mr. B's proclaims that he has the BEST burgers in the world, at least according to the owner. Smiles! My wife ordered a regular 1/3 pound burger and I ordered the Old Fashion Cheeseburger with bleu cheese and adding bacon and Mr. B's chipolte spread. The burgers come with either French fries or potato chips After a short wait, our burgers were delivered by our very friendly server. The burgers were delicious and seemed like MORE than a 1/3 pound. Mr. B's servers very traditional non-fast food burgers, just like homemade. Neither one of us were fans of the fries. They had a "coating" on them and we both like the regular natural fries. Next time we're in, we'll order chips. We did end the meal with an order of banana pudding. Huge and plenty to share between two people. Major yummy! Mr b's is one of those local hangouts you must see if you're in town! The staff is always friendly and treats you like family. The foods delicious, I usually get the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Make sure you try the banana pudding! If you're full, get some to go, you won't regret it! read more

It took me almost four years of living in A-town to try this place, mainly because every time I would think of coming, it was a Sunday. But I finally bucked the trend and got in here a couple weeks back and I'm glad I did. When we first walked in, it seemed the whole restaurant turned and stared at us. You know the look - it's the one you see in the old Western movies where the protagonist rides into a new town that "doesn't see a lot of strangers." It wasn't unfriendly, just a bit freaky. However, our service was actually very good. They have quite a few burgers on the menu, several of which sounded really good but I went with an old standby - the patty melt. In Texas restaurants often have their own interpretation of a patty melt but a 'real' patty melt is simply a grilled sandwich with rye bread, american cheese, grilled onion and the patty. Mr. B's offers theirs with swiss cheese, so I requested a substitution (which unfortunately they forgot to do, but their swiss didn't have the bitter taste of most of what Americans call Swiss cheese, so it worked out ok). Really my only complaint about the burger otherwise is they didn't butter the bread before they grilled it (which I will have to request next time). Otherwise it was quite what I was expecting. I liked their fries. We were too full for dessert. Prices were about standard for "gourmet" burgers. Overall, a solid member of the Arlington burger scene. If I want a non-fast-food burger and don't want to drive to Fort Worth, and it's not Sunday, I'll come here again. read more

OMG outstanding! I used to be a paramedic in Arlington and we'd stop by often on shift and grab some food to go. Haven't been in that job in 9 years, but when I walked in, Vicki (I think that's her name) remembered me! Woah, that's some pretty stellar service right there. Soooo onto the food. This guy on a FB Group (Arlington Foodies) has been trying every burger place in Arlington and this one keeps getting rave reviews. Since I'm addicted to his 'March Madness', I've seen him eat two burgers a day for almost a week and I had to have a cheeseburger NOW! Walked in, seat yourself (they may have beer, not sure about BYOB on anything else) and was immediately greeted by Vicki (as above). Wanted a salad to start - their garden salad has iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes and cheese and their ranch is homemade...SOLD! It was HUGE and only $4.75. Ate every bite and now checking...yup, I have room for a burger...yeah! Ordered the bacon cheeseburger (medium rare - they normally come medium-well unless you ask otherwise) with mayo, onions and pickles only - with onion rings. Burger was cooked PERFECTLY medium-rare and the first bite sent juices trailing down my wrist.....not greasy, just pure juicy goodness - the sign of an amazing patty! The pickles and onions were fresh and crunchy and I made it through 1/2 of the burger before I cried uncle. The onion rings were crisp, a little greasy and not made of minced onions, but whole onion rings. Ate about 1/2 the order (maybe 4 o them) and took the rest home. All in all, for $18 it was a bit pricey but my salad really put it into the 'spendy for lunch' range = if you're not a salad freak, it'll set you back about $10 for the burger, rings and a drink. She's running around taking orders, filling drinks, checking up on every table, and bringing you your food to the table. She does all of this, yet you don't feel rushed at all. She is one of the most personable and nicest waitstaff you'll have the pleasure of meeting! On to the food - Mr. B's Burger Pub has all of the fried fixins' you can think of - pickles, fries, mushrooms, jalapenos, jalapeno poppers, onion rings, and so on. Choose your burger and your damage (1/3 lb, 1/2 lb, etc.) and enjoy. Don't want a burger? That's alright - they've got hot dogs, chili, nachos, quesadillas, chicken strips, salads, and so forth. My friend ordered onion rings with her burger and Vicky went ahead and placed an additional order of onion rings when she noticed that it didn't meet her standards of "crispy-ness." Vicky definitely goes above and beyond trying to appease everyone she serves and it shows. She's dedicated to the business, she cares about the food, and she's so very personable. I was super excited to try this place because of all the wonderful reviews but was dissappointed. First of all, the restaurant was not very busy but the food took forever. I know it was made to order but I didn't expected to wait 30 plus minutes for two burgers. I didn't complain about the long wait and waited patiently because I expected the food to make up for it. However, the burgers were flavorless and yes it was some huge patties like everyone said but it wasn't good. The restaurant also looked a bit dirty so I didn't like that. They also overcharged me but kindly removed them when I told them. Overall, I wasn't impressed and will not be coming back. read more

Old place in an old strip mall and it looks well worn inside, but the floors and tables are totally clean and the waitstaff are friendly. The burgers are pretty darn good: I ordered the 1/3 pound Chili Cheese burger with onion rings: piping hot crunchy onion rings and a tasty burger with a think meaty chili on top on a very fresh bun. Then we got dessert: appears to be homemade too, the banana pudding was tasty and not too sweet and the strawberry pis was old school "with jello" style. read more

I dont really get the reviews on this place. Pretty much unremarkable and bland. Want a great burger in Pantego, go to Jr's Grill on Park Row and get the double double. Service was slow, and the place was empty. Best burgers in Arlington! Great food, great service, family owned and operated.

We were in the area due to a trip to Decorator's Warehouse and my husband wanted a burger. Did a quick search and found this place, and we are all so glad we decided to try it out! Toddler got a fresh (not frozen) corn dog, and both mine & my husband's burgers were delicious. To top it off, we decided to share a banana pudding, which was the best decision of the day - huge serving & homemade! If we are ever back in this area, we will absolutely eat here again. read more

Three of us had the OU burger and one had the Tex Mex burger. The burgers were excellent and the fries were perfect. Tucked back in the corner of a strip mall you really need to be looking for this place, because you wouldn't spot just driving by. Often rated as the best Burger in Arlington is what caused us to look for them. The place is not large and more or less old fashioned decor, both usually criteria for a good Burger in my book. Pretentious surroundings and quality burgers don't usually go together in my experience. I wish I had caught out servers name because she deserves to recognized for her good nature and excellent service. The good old fashioned cheeseburger lived up to its name. read more
