Drinks; the margarita and Long Island were a perfect balance of strong yet tasty. AND they were happy hour priced! Food; we started with the mozzarella sticks and Mac & cheese egg rolls; both were amazing! For entrees; one of my friends and I shared combo #4 which was 1 pound King Crab, 2 snow crab clusters, head on shrimp, crawfish, two corn cobs and three potatoes. We opted for all the sauces on the side; garlic butter, lemon pepper and Cajun. The seafood was amazing fresh and plentiful! The sauces were amazing separate but even better together! My other two friends ordered a burger and catfish basket. The burger was absolutely amazing and the catfish was cooked to perfection. Oh and the fries!! So far I can say of all the crab places I have been this one is the best. I was not sure if it was going to be good based on the few cars in the parking lot. Being the holiday that could be it or people just have not been properly introduced. It checks the boxes on crab legs cooked right, great mix of flavor in the sauce. I got the sloppy sauce in medium heat. The sauce had a nice balance and was not too chunky with spices and garlic. I would like to taste the other two individually to test the difference. The sauce does have a slightly sweet flavor. It was not until the end that the sweetness became a little over done but did not stop me from eating it. The shrimp was nice and plump. I just wish they could some how have the vein cleaned out. The sausage have a great smoky tasty flavor. At this point I will be back and I plan to try more of the boiled seafood as well as the fried. We also had the #2 combo with Cajun seasoning and it seemed as if everything in the bag was dipped in some seasoning as an afterthought. The crab had a bitter aftertaste to it, and none of the shrimp, crawfish, or crab had any sort of flavor. My mom wanted to try this place out since we live so close to it. My mom and I shared the Combo #2. The combo included clams, shrimp, crab, and sausage with 2 corns and 2 potatoes. We did the mild with Mr. Crab sloppy sauce. My husband got the catfish platter which included 2 filets, fries, fried oysters, and fried shrimp. The sauce was pretty good but it had an overwhelming sweetness to it. I prefer savory rather than sweet but each person is different. The shrimps were large and the crab legs were very meaty. The clams were also pretty good. They are the smaller clams. It doesn't seem like they used andouille sausages but I liked it because it wasn't too salty like most andouille sausages are. The catfish filets were okay, it wasn't anything special. The fried oysters were a bit small but it had some flavor. It is more on the expensive side, most Cajun places are. I wouldn't choose Mr. Crabs as my first choice if I'm craving crawfish/seafood. read more

I've seen this place a few times on my way to the gym. I LOVE seafood so I decided to stop in for lunch one day. I had Sausage, Potatoes, Clams, Headless Shrimp, Corn, and Snow Crab Legs. I ordered the sloppy sauce because someone recommended it. I'm glad I did! It was the perfect compliment to the seafood. A little sweet, but It was tasty. I had to wait a little for them to cook it. I don't mind waiting because I know they are not popping it into a microwave to heat it up. There wasn't anyone else in there so I had the entire place to myself. I was loving the music that they were playing inside the restaurant and it wasn't too loud. This is and always will be my favorite seafood spot! We've had a couple of hiccups over some time but I'm overall satisfied. The owner addressed every issue I've ever had and I'm grateful for this. A lot of owners wouldn't take the time out to have a refreshing conversation with me like she did. She really does care about her customers and this place will continue to strive with her. I love Mr.Crabs! But sometimes it's a hit or miss. There Sloppy sauce is a unique staple of the restaurant and always brings me back. But the last two times my crab wasn't as piping hot as it could have been. Also my bf noted that they do use swai for catfish so keep that in mind. I highly recommend this place - it's spacious, cozy, good customer service, and good food! What more can you ask for, right? I've tried the crawfish (which was pretty huge), the many kinds of oysters they have, wings, Cajun fries, fried calamari, fries mushrooms, you name it. I didn't realize what it was at first and then I connected the dots that it was the new, hot restaurant I kept seeing mentioned on social media. My little cousin recently turned 21 and wanted to go somewhere with crawfish for her birthday dinner. I gave her a few suggestions and she chose Mr. Crabs based on her fandom of Spongebob. I told her that not only does the name give Spongebob vibes, but the food is reported to be good as well. The good: the food is GOOD. The sloppy sauce...O-M-G. Get it and thank me later. It's delicious. Throw it on the sausage, shrimp, or crawfish and it is finger licking good. The ambiance is really chill and relaxed. I like that it's not some place where you have to wait for hours or dress up. It's not stuffy at all. You can come dressed up or dressed down and ready to eat. Your choice. The not so good: Service was kind of slow. But, we also came with a huge party. Anytime you go out with a huge party, that's kind of asking for slow(er) service. We had to ask for several items several times. A couple of people ordered crab and needed a tool to crack the shells open. Some people got their meal in stages and some people like myself got their food super late. I'm patient and was enjoying hanging out with everyone, so it didn't bother me too much. I am in Texas visiting from California and in the bay area we have a place similar to this called the boiling crab I came here thinking there was no way they could match the boiling crab and oh boy they did deliver quality taste! All my tastebuds were met. I ordered fried calamari and it was yum yum yummy. Then a bag of shrimp with potatoes, corn, sausages with the flavor being Sloopy mild. Both were good, but the oysters were fantastic and are definitely crave-able (and I'm from the Gulf Coast). Between me, husband, and man-son, we ordered 3 lbs snow crab, 2 lbs crawfish, 1 lb shrimp, and 1/2 lb sausage - and WAY over ordered (hello seafood bisque from leftovers). Pro tip: order family style. It was all so tasty. Yes, try the Sloppy Sauce!! The crab was sweet, plump and cooked perfectly (as was everything else).
