I've worked with this company on two separate occasions: one for a shower repair and the other for a sewer line replacement. The first instance involved an intoxicated and unstable employee that endangered the safety of everyone involved. The company upgraded the shower as an apology for the occurrence. During this upgrade, other issues happened such as poor communication, damages, and trash being left after the work was completed. My most recent experience also involved lack of communication which led to a lot of confusion. For the cost and extent of the work, I would have expected clearer communication. I sent multiple emails and called several times for updates, but never received a response until after the work was completed and they wanted to collect their payment. The company corrected the issues after they were brought up, but after two negative experiences with this company I would prefer working with others in the area whenever possible. read more

My downstairs toilet just started erupting on a Friday night and completely ruined my evening plans! Luckily I was able to call Mr Drain the next morning and Dallas came out and immediately started looking around my house to find the source of the back up. He was able to locate the main pipe to my home and unclog the blockage and restored order! He even used the pipe camera to show us where the clog was and the condition of the pipes. These guys are good! Seldom I see plumbing company this good. Derrick and Rory got the right attitude first off and very professional in every way. Got a clogged kitchen sink and Rory with his tool connected to a camera was awesome. I saw the cause of the clog and how it got repaired. They did an extra inspection free of charge of the pipes under my house and found more issues which needs to be taken care of soon or may cause major problems in the near future. They will present a proposal for me with photos to help me decide. I highly recommend this company for any plumbing job. read more

I debated about posting this review but I think this happened to me so I could caution others. My toilet was clogged so I called Mr. Drain. I was told that I needed a new toilet and the sheetrock behind the toilet had mold. So for a new toilet, replacing a 4X3 piece of sheetrock, removing 3 tiles under the toilet all of which entailed about 8 hours of work cost me $6,500.00. So allowing about $200.00 for the toilet and maybe $150.00 for the sheetrock, that means they charge over $700.00 per hour for labor. And I had to pay for it before the work started. Please be careful if you use this plumber. read more

Mr. Drain, came out to service my underground rainwater drains, and could not complete the hydro high pressure clean out because they stated that there could be some fine tree roots that have cause some blockage. In two seperate locations of about two to three feet of root intrusion within my drain out to the front of my residence. So, they did not complete the task I paid them for ($1600) and wanted to charge me an additional $2,600 to clear the very short area of root removal, approximately 6 feet of new plastic drain hose. I declined their ridiculous offer to replace the affected area. I hired my gardener who did a fantastic job for only $400. They definitely have the right name for their company, because that's exactly what they will do, drain all the money out of your wallet. He was super friendly and called to let us know when he would arrive. Our issue was an easy fix so it took him maybe 10 min. Rates are reasonable. I am writing this good review of Mr Drain because they immediately responded to my leaking water heater. The technician Trevor was very friendly, informative of the problem. Because I purchased the water heater from Home Depot and it was still under warranty, I selected the Home Depot contractors. They picked up a new WH and return the older one back to HD so I could get store credit. Had this not been the case, I would have used Mr Drain to do the job. Very responsive company. Ben came quickly, reviewed the problem and gave and quoted a price. Trever and Jonathan arrived the next morning to clear the landscape drains on our property. The two of them had their work cut out for them because much of it required digging in river rock. Ben's estimate was 2 days work. Trever and Jonathan completed it in 1.5 days. Everything was cleaned up and put back where it belonged. This was a big job that I could not do myself. I considered the price to be fair. The quality of work was excellent. We've had two other plumbers out over the last 4 years telling us our problem was our kids, not the plumbing... and yet sewage kept emerging from the base of the toilet. Rory came out to snake a slow drain. We thought it was just a hair buildup problem but it turned out to be hair and a major soap scum buildup, over decades of use. He did a great job explaining what he was seeing in the pipe and cleared out a good amount of the soap scum by hand with sheer muscle. He then offered to go under the house to make sure that there weren't any other issues with the shower drain line. He did that, and it all looked fine. So, very thorough work, very communicative, and I'll be hiring him again!! read more
