It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon with my best friend and her family (husband and 3 yrs old twins) and my 7 yrs old nephew. We were discussing what to do. How about brunch?! Why not, she's been eyeing this place for months. So, we call to get some info and the friendly voice on the phone encourages us to come on by, there's plenty of space and brunch doesn't end till 5:00. So we pile in the car and head out. Parking didn't come easy, but we eventually found something, unloaded and headed to the restaurant. We heard the music from about a block away and realized there wasn't going to be much talking. No worries. Excited for all the delicious yumminess, we asked the host for a table.... and that was the end of our joy. The host informed my friend's husband that they were booked and couldn't accommodate our party. So my friend and I began to count the open tables in plain site!  I couldn't help but notice the look of disdain on the host's face as he glanced at the children and stated that he could actually seat us, however we would have to be done by 3:30 pm. It was 2:20 pm!  As he stood there disinterested and seemingly annoyed, we explainedouc call earlier and in no way could guarantee exactly when we would be done. He said that's all he can do.  So, after driving for about 30 minutes and looking for parking for another 15, we had to deal with a very rude and unapologetic host. My friend and i were offened at the way he looked at the children and disregarded us.  We left and went to McDonald's. The kids were happy and we won't be going back. Myself and 4 others came here since it was near our hotel and everything was excellent!!! 1. Service: We were seated right away and our waitress was incredibly sweet, attentive, and accommodating. 2. Alcohol: Our table had the Mr Dre 7 drink which has coconut and pomegranate infusion and the mango and passion sangria. Personally the mango sangria was my favorite, so refreshing! 3. Food: I had the churrasco- skirt steaks with chimmichuri (forgive spelling) and a side of the sweet plantains.... So delicious. The steak was yummy but the sweet plantains were cooked to perfection. I was here for the Sunday brunch celebrating a birthday we had reservations & once everyone had arrived we were seated. While waiting at the bar I tried the Passion fruit Sangria pretty good taste until the girl suggested they had a stronger Sangria, the Hennessy one is Henny, lemon & pineapple odd combo but the girl said it was the strongest one so why not give it a try not bad u are taken back by the taste a bit but good overall. Once seated they give u Passion fruit mimosas kinda sweet but good. Other drinks were Beer not bad, Caipirinha were very good, Tequilla shots & some Whiskey good as well. Brunch menu is not bad a bit limited but maybe that is a good thing too many choices tend to make things complicated. I got the Dominicanita burger with Yuca fries this was a popular choice at our table, very good burger great combo the angus beef, sweet plantains & fried egg .. good Yuca fries. Upon arrival(Friday night 9pm), we were greeted immediately and seated. Since it was st. Patty's day, they offered $5 Jameson specials. Decor: casual, chill and trendy. Our server, Ray(it was loud, I think that was her name) was very polite and welcoming. My friend ordered a Shirley temple and asked for it to be a bit sweet, it ended up tasting like a virgin Shirley temple. Ray got her a new drink and apologized immediately. She was knowledgeable of the menu options and gave honest opinions. We got the sticky wings--- so good! Pa' Picar-- perfect for 2 but the beef was slightly burnt. Sweet Potato Fries-- perfectly seasoned and fried. Our intension was to have a night filled with chit chat and finger food, this place was great for just that however, at exactly 10pm the music was turned up so loudly, we couldn't hear our own thoughts. The food is decently good. We came 2 years ago and my hubby got food poisoning after. Decided to give it another shot. Their menu expanded but when we went last night there was only one cocktail available and only white or red sangria. Everything else on the alcohol list was not available. What a bummer, I was looking forward to a peach or guava sangria. Server was nice and the food was tasty but I'm disappointed with the drink menu. The place is usually always empty. We went for $2 Taco Tuesday. The options are chicken or beef soft tacos with onions, lettuce, and radish, plus spicy green sauce on the side. DELICIOUS. We both had four tacos each (two chicken, two beef) and were full. I got a Mr Dre #7 sangria, which was SOOO good. $8 during happy hour. It was white sangria made with Jack Daniels infused with passion fruit, pomegranate, and coconut water. Boyfriend got the blackberry sangria. Whoever is making these drinks is doing a fantastic job. A little loud for our liking, but still a good experience. Bathroom is spotless and handicapped accessible. Bill came to $32 even with just tax. Oh, we will be back. Visited this restaurant last evening.The staff was very friendly,the atmosphere electric and the food outstanding.I ordered Pollito stuffed chicken breast w/ chorizo, sweet plantains & mozzarella cheese in a mushroom champagne cream sauce with a variety of fresh vegetables cooked to perfection.The chicken was not drowned with sauce and the portion was enough for two people. My friend and I came here for brunch yesterday after hearing great things - it didn't disappoint! we made a reservation for the 2 of us at 12, which I'd recommend because the place gets really busy. it's small, but really cute and the staff was just great. Overall great spot, good atmosphere and the DJ was playing a nice mix of old school hip hop and newer Bachata among other genres, but he was on point. Service was excellent, they had a few basketball games on multiple screens, we had no complaints. Drinks: I had the Mr Dre Hennessy, tasted amazing and was well balanced. Food: We had the picadura which had: chicharron de pollo, queso frito, longaniza, tostones, carne frita (it brought back memories of the late night food trucks in the heights) and it included a mojito sauce and an excellent chimichurri sauce. Not sure where to start we where the first ones there for happy hour the lady was very attentive however a group showed up , looks to me the owner family for a birthday party with more than 15 people and She forgot about us ,the food took a little longer than what I expected .we where a little more than half way done with our food before we got our second drink. We had the pa' picar appetizer that came with tostones, crunchy fried chicken pieces, Spanish sausage, crispy fried beef and fried cheese. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this. For entrees we got the bacon burger, churrassco, pollito, and costillas. The rice and beans that came with our meal was okay. The beans were a bit on the bland side. The churrassco was cooked medium and to perfection. No complaints there. My brother said his bacon burger was really juicy and flavorful. The costillas were sweet and tender according to my niece. I had the pollito which is chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella and chorizo. This was really good. Moist and tender. We did not have room for dessert but will give this place a second visit to try other things. The staff was welcoming and attentive. Prices were standard. In the $20 range for an entree. This is the type of place that I really want to support in my neighborhood. Went last night (Saturday) and the place was jumpin'. Really awesome music that made you dance in your seat. Really attentive waitress who gave a great recommendation - the coconut sangria. I loved how big the drink was and that it was served in a mason jar. The drinks kept coming, delicious burgers came to our table, and great conversation ensued. I had a wonderful time here with my boyfriend and friends and will certainly be back. I'll start off by saying that I've had brunch here twice in the past and had a really nice time. The food and drinks were very good; however, I am disgusted with this establishment after my experience today and will NEVER be going back. I had brunch with my mother at Mr. Dre's shortly after they opened a while back - they were very accommodating (only a couple of tables were occupied). Fast forward to a few months ago my parents tried coming here for dinner and although there were empty tables the host told my father that perhaps they would like to eat somewhere else because this restaurant is loud and for "younger people." Being that my dad is a little grouchy I was thinking maybe he said something or misunderstood because I didn't think that they would be so rude. My mother really enjoyed this restaurant and still wanted to return for brunch so I brought her today for her birthday. I was immediately greeted at the door and asked if I wanted a table I said yes please for two - the host looked behind me and asked "for who? You two?" (Pointing towards my mother) I said yes and then suddenly they are all booked but we can wait for a cancellation if we wish - he told me this while being disinterested looking down at his phone. Clearly we left, but I'm sure if I was there with another girl my age they would have accommodated us being that I had been here before with 5 girls for Sunday brunch and we were seated without a reservation with no issues. I guess they don't want kids or people over 50 at this restaurant. It's so sad that when things were slow diners of any age were very welcomed but now that they have gained more popularity they want to discriminate based on age. Learn how to treat customers with respect! Imagine how my mother felt?!! I'm appalled! On our way back from a different restaurant we noticed police vehicles outside, so I'm so glad we weren't seated after all. Don't lose your time/money: So they have this live Trova Mondays, we called and asked what time would they perform, they confirmed 9pm.
