Never a dull moment at Mr. Dre's. I've came for Sunday Brunch and also experienced this place at night. For the brunch; it was a large party and the tables were lined up, there were fruit plates and bottomless sangria provided. Best Sangria hands down!! and they have so many flavors to offer as well. For my meal, I had the churrasco with yuca fries and egg, oh my goodness, it was a plate sent from heaven! The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The DJ is amazing!! had everyone dancing by the bar. He played old school hits as well as today's hits. At night, the ambiance is just as fun. Bartenders are quick with their drinks. I had brunch here on Sunday, I was part of my group or 8. We made reservations since we heard it get a busy. We arrived early and waited a few minutes before they sat us down. We got there on time because they give you a 2hr limit on the table for brunch. We remained in the restaurant by ourselves for quite some time which was actually super nice. The staff here are amazing, they had a live DJ who was so good-DJ Chino. He was playing a good mix and actually mixing. So good. The food is phenomenal- We had the 3 golpes, chicken and waffles, churrasco, and Dominican burger..no one had any complaints-delish! I also had the Henny sangria which was soo good. My best friend treated my husband and I to brunch this past Sunday, and I have to say that the place is amazing. We were welcomed with a complementary passion fruit mimosa, which was delish! We then order the tres golpes and the Dominican burger, the food was delicious, and tasted fresh! Their selection of homemade sangria leaves you wanting all of them. We opted to sip on the passion fruit sangria...it's a refreshing party served in a mug! Can't wait to taste all the sangrias in the near future! Should've paid attention to the reviews. We were the first customers and were not told the wait time was a long time, try 45 minutes for food. In that time I could've gone home and cooked. The staff ordered their food, some sandwiches from an outside place delivered and had the audacity to eat in front of us hungry customers. WHO DOES THAT!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Staff of over 5 workers were huddled in a corner smoking hookah while my table and anothers were waiting over 40 minutes for our food. Had to ask the server for the check for just the drinks because we were tired of waiting and she said "but the food is coming... there's only one cook today" and went to check the kitchen. She then brought out our cold food and the other tables as well and acted like nothing was wrong. It was obvious all the food was left out sitting because she didn't bother to check. She went back to smoking her hookah, texting on her phone and dancing while we tried to swallow the cold, low quality food. It's pretty busy on Sunday for brunch that the waiter took some time to ask if we needed more drinks. I had to get up to the order my own drink which I didn't mind because the ambiance was so great and the music was excellent. You can still have a conversation and enjoy good music. Horrible service. Waited 40 minutes for our food while the staff smoked hookah in the corner. We had to ask the waitress to bring out our food from the back for her to remember. Appetizers were good, had empanadas, quesadillas, bbq and sticky wings. Main entrée which was steak with some sauce was not the best and arrived cold. The music is very loud so you will be shouting to have a conversation, as far as people complaining about not being accommodating to children, this is not a place for kids. The atmosphere was turnt up thanks to the live DJ (who played throwbacks, reggaeton, rap, reggae) and the staff hyping up the birthday people. The sangria was also very good! There was a complimentary drink that they gave us when we sat down, too. That was also yummy-- it was a orange (but not a regular mimosa), maybe passion fruit? I ordered the Dominicanita Burger which was pretty good. My sister got the Churasco-- let me tell you, SO good. The only drawback some may see is that there is a 2 hour sitting maximum. But I'm guessing cause they get so busy and everyone deserves a chance to enjoy this experience. My boyfriend and I were regulars because I lived so close but we stopped going because of one of the servers literally charged us gratuity when we had already been there at least twice a week and she had never done that before!! We stopped going after that, after we went there for months and wasted so much money and the same lady would pretend she had never seen us before, even when we always tipped her really well!
