I called to see if they provided dishwasher repair. They said that they do in my area and that there was a $99.99 diagnostic fee for the technicians time. I then asked what their hourly rates were and was told that they didn't have any. I asked how they bill us and was told time and materials. So I asked again what the rate was and was told it depended on the job. Not knowing what a company charges for labor is not something that I am comfortable with. I have been in customer service for years and I do not understand this type of business practice. You may want to re-think this strategy. They fixed my fridge! I have a vintage 1955 Kelvinator refrigerator and a lot of other businesses wouldn't even come to take a look, but they were willing to come see it and try. I called Tuesday afternoon and they fit me in the very next day! The guy came out and found the problem pretty fast, which was a bad connection, and taped everything up better so it won't happen again. The arrival window was only 30 minutes long so they didn't expect me to sit around for an entire day wondering when they'd come, which is such a nice change from other companies I've dealt with. They said 11:15 to 11:45 and they were super prompt, he showed up at 11:20! The repair man was also really nice and friendly. Overall a great experience and it didn't break the bank. The repair man showed up on time, put on plastic booties, and spent almost an hour fixing my leaking refrigerator. The gentleman from Mr. Fridge came out to fix a leaking water line to the fridge. Within two hours of his leaving it leaked again. He came back out a week later, repaired the line again and installed a new ice maker. Cost? Over $700, You can almost buy a brand new refrigerator for that much money. He was here about 2 hours altogether -- seems nowadays getting anything repaired costs a fortune. Next time we have an issue with an appliance, we will simply toss it at the landfill, and buy a brand new one. read more

He was recommended by a friend, who told me how fast he came, how he was super honest (she got a previous quote and the difference was literally in the thousands). Alex is a super nice guy, explained everything that he needed to do, described exactly what was wrong, and only fixed what needed fixing. No extra costs, no running back to the shop for some part that was on backorder, just total honesty and good work. He also is very concerned about the floor and messes, and makes sure that doesn't happen (no damage or even a drop of water on the floor). The fridge is working, the beer and vodka are cold again, no water leaking, and no needing a new fridge or extended repairs. Mr. Fridge was quick and efficient. I asked for a quote for a very specific repair that is a common problem with Samsung fridges. He was the only person to respond with an actual dollar amount instead of just saying the hourly rate. I appreciated knowing how much it would cost going into the repair. However, the rate he quoted me was just for the labor so I was suprised that the final bill was higher at the end due to parts cost. This could have been avoided with clearer communication, which is the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars. We called Alex(Mr. Fridge) this morning after waking up and realizing our fridge had stopped working and he was out not even 3 hours later. I called over the week end when my fridge stopped working, they were able to schedule me for Monday for repair. The man who came out to my house was very polite and texted on his way here. Replaced the broken fan, the fridge has been working perfectly since. Repair was quick and reasonable. This is a good repair company and I would not hesitate to call them in the future. I was able to get an appointment within 48 hours. The two repairmen just left. They were very thorough and kept me abreast of the situation as they were solving the issue. They were able to fix the issue and tell me how to avoid this happening again. They were also very neat and cleaned up the area. Mr. Fridge was able to get out to evaluate our refrigerator within a few days. We had called him when we were unsatisfied with the prior repair service we called. Mr. Fridge was very thorough. My experience with Mr. Fridge was great. I contacted him this morning about a rumbling fridge and he came out a few hours later. He stayed for a couple hours diagnosing the problem and defrosting ice in the fridge and ice in the pipes. A past technician from another company had me defrost the fridge myself overnight, so I really appreciated not having to unload the contents of my fridge and freezer again. Compared to other appliance work I've had done, Mr. Fridge's prices seemed reasonable. I'll definitely use him again for future refrigerator issues. read more

I was standing across the room to overlook his work. He started shouting at me to not overlook his work. He was very rude and I was about to send him back.
