Just moved to Diamond Bar a little over a month ago and have passed Mr. G's Pizza countless times, and finally last weekend, we decided to give it a try. The pizza is delicious!! And, other patrons were not lying when they went on about the dough and crust. It is doughy, and the crust is chewy with the perfect amount of crunch and snap on the outside. Now, one thing I got all soft and squishy about, was the fettucine alfredo. I know, how can anyone, anywhere, mess this up. But, it's honestly very cheesy, creamy, and very yummy - so that's what I want on a daily! However, the number ONE reason for the four stars is due to the stellar service and friendliness by the owner. He recognized that we were first timers, so he went over the menu in detail and informed us about deals he had. When he charged us for everything I was paying with large bills, and so when I didn't have smaller bills and change, he knocked off a few bucks so we wouldn't have to break any other bills. It's not a lot of money, but it's that type of thoughtfulness and kindness that brings you back. read more

I had spaghetti meatballs and the meatballs tasted foul. Gave it to my doggo and he and I had diarrhea. Their pizzas are alright. if you order from Ubereats they charge you $7.49 for coke vs $4.99 if you buy from the place itself. This down right criminal. I dunno who to blame the restaurant or Uber eats. Have a three star is you stick with the pizza. read more

We have been linking for a pizza that is better than most. I think we found it. This pizza has the perfect crust, not too thick and not too thin. The sauce is also very flavorful. We also ordered the sampler for appetizer. The Buffalo wings were on point. The zucchini rounds were ok. I think they were too thin. Mozzarella sticks (squares) were also ok. My favorite pizza spot that I've found in the area (I make the short drive over from Chino Hills). Just good pizza. I keep it simple with a pepperoni pizza and it's just solid. Probably ordered half a dozen times so far and never had a bad experience yet. They serve a New York style pizza (I haven't tried the thick crust) that is spot on. I spent 4 years living just outside of NYC and consumed more than my fair share of NY thin crust. This would be good pizza in NYC, so it's out of this world over here on the other coast. Guy working the counter on friday nights recognized me by name/sight by my third or fourth order. That's impressive. Always speaks well of a place when they can great customers by name. Ordered pizza twice but the time to receive the food is ridiculous. I ordered a couple months back and it took 1.5 hrs to get the pizza. This past Saturday I placed an order at 1pm.... The pizza arrived at 2:55pm almost two hours. I called to find out what happened at 1hr 30mins and the lady said "they just left with a delivery." I said, "I ordered at 1".... No sorry or anything. Mr G's is a great pizza place in Diamond Bar. They are a big supporter of the community and I recently got to sample their pizza at the annual Friends of the Library Soiree. They supplied the lunch for the volunteers and their turkey and roast beef subs were excellent. My favorite items are their Pepperoni pizza and their meatball subs. They have great lunch specials too. The owner Sam is a great supporter of the community and I like spending my dollars on a locally owned small business. read more
