The staff will openly argue with each other in front of the customers. We were seated at a table when the bartender yelled at the host that he wasn't allowed to seat groups of 3 at those tables, only groups of 4. He yelled back that the system wasn't set up that way. If you want to be in the middle of staff argument over policy and computer systems this is the place for you! We were taken back to the lobby and told it would be a 5 minute wait for a booth. 20 minutes later a new host comes out, tells us the first host lied to us and it would be another half hour. The whole time there were plenty of tables open. He said there was a power outage in the area, I said that doesn't excuse misleading customers, he said the first host was liar and that's why we were misinformed. read more

After failing to get into cactus and browns, we wandered over to mr mikes (our saving grace in the desert!) the waitress came by and let us know Thursday nights (8-late) is burger night where any burger is on special for $12! It was a treat and indulged in a hearty burger with the BEST lodge chips. They are perfectly kettle cooked or something and have me addicted for sure. Great crisp yet still light! I hate leaving a poor review but this place just doesn't have it. It's a 'chain' steakhouse with big prices. The food was marginal, we sent 2 steaks back to be Re-made as the filets came out smothered on what tasted like salty brown gravy. The cooked carrots were rubbery. Just not it. read more

Hello everyone it has been awhile since I have posted my restaurant food review, this time my husband and I was invited to a friend's birthday dinner party at Mr. Mikes Langley located near 200 Street and Willowbrook Drive that was visited on Feb 29, 2020. We decided to order some drinks to enjoy the evening so I ordered Blue Hawaii drink and my husband always ordered his go-to drink which is Ceasar. As for the appetizer we decided to order Fresh Tomato Bruschetta and as for our entrée my husband ordered his own personalized steak which is interesting. Mr. Mikes steaks are AAA steaks and are aged a minimum of 28 1/2 days and its one of their secret factor for their steaks and as for myself I ordered their Seafeast Fettuccine with an additonal of chicken. As for desserts, we decided to ordered their Uber Brownie and New York Cheesecake. Overall, I rate this restaurant a 4.0 star out of 5 star reason being that the customer service was great and the food tastes amazing along with the food portion was just right. This was my first experience with Mr. Mikes Langley location and would gladly make a second visit in the near future with other Mr. Mikes chain locations as well. Stopped in here by myself for a steak and a beer at about 7pm One evening & sat at the bar. Service was ok at best although she didn't put the order for some fries in that I wanted to snack on with my beer while waiting for my meal. It was obvious she really didn't care about her mistake when I asked if they would be out soon especially considering I had mentioned earlier I hadn't eaten anything yet that day. Most good establishments would have blasted some out on the house after I was sitting there for over 20 minutes waiting with nothing. My sirloin came out about 15 minutes later and thankfully it was a nice cut & cooked a perfect med rare. They do have a great Amber Ale and cool tall glasses I have to say ! It's a shame that service is getting worse by the week it seems in many restaurants now, being somewhat adequate seems to be the new target. Nope,nada,null...I really gave Mr.Mikes the benefit of the doubt but I was overly generous. Mr.Mikes still do not make a cheesy nor creamy Mac & Cheese so don't even. Out of three entrees my wife's steak was ordered med and it arrived medium well and dry,albeit tender.My Mums ribs were ample, dry and not so tender. I ordered the classic Mike's Burger and it was ok.Overall,...meh. 1 out of 3 steaks were excellent while the other 2 orders were over cooked,dry and not worth the lofty price. We had the steak dip (good, nice and horseradishie, tasty dip and excellent house salad); Peppercorn steak pasta was very good and the Mac N cheese with lobster was awesome. First time here and didn't bother checking out the reviews first. My first impression was that it was a large place and clean and had a great patio but why is there only two tables at 12:20pm? This is lunch rush and I figured that it would be busier than this. I did mull over the reviews as I sat and noticed many people said the war ice was slow. My server was great and prompt but I can see that the daily may be in the kitchen. I only ordered a salad with some prawns (which I'm not sure were prawns they were so incredibly small) so there wasn't anything that really needed an extensive amount of cooking. Yet, my salad took 26 min. The salad which was a taste of Italy feature was a Caprese spin and was tasty but totally needed more mozza/boccocini for the ratio. I've been frequenting this establishment for 6 years now on and off. It used to be really good, then it franchised and went downhill (see most reviews) then corporate took it back and it was pretty decent but has really been lacking in a few departments - kitchen, service and management. First off, Mr. Mikes has the potential to serve amazing food as they've been around for decades. The appies, entrees and desserts can be very delicious but I'm thinking the problem is the staff and/or lack of training. Each time I have ordered steak, over the past year, it's been sent back - always over cooked, dry and lacking flavour. I have no idea how someone can overcook a juicy ribeye so much it is hard to swallow but similar has happened with the NY and sirloin. The service has been subpar and I realized COVID made it hard to get staff but most of the ones hired have had terrible customer service skills and lack awareness. There is also a manager who is quite annoying with disgusting mannerisms - he "trains" staff loudly so all the patrons know, he coughs in his hand/arm then doesn't go wash nor sanitize before serving food and drinks, and he tries too hard to be funny and continually condescending. After my last visit, I had a bout of bad stomach upset so I won't be going here anymore. I've written to head office as well months ago but no one has even acknowledged nor responded. I won't be surprised if this location shuts down. Perhaps bring back Kelsey's to that location again?!! read more

we went on a Saturday at 4 so was not busy yet waitress was very good I ordered the parmesan chicken sandwich it was pretty good it comes on foccia bread with red sauce and cheese fries were just ok kind of bland son ordered the kids grilled cheese with fries they did a good job on it not grilled to dark kids don't like that but they use cheddar cheese, which I know is better, but he only likes the Kraft slices so he didn't eat the sandwich but he liked the fries we also had two mike burgers my husband said they have really downsized the burger and it did look a lot smaller and they are 16.99 and no fry refills where u can get better across street at red robins we also had a bbq bourbon burger he said it was good I was going to get it but I don't like onion buns came with potato chips and dip he said it was good but $17 is top dollar for that read more

Returning after 15 months with a $25 voucher for the poor meal we got last time and thought it was an isolated place incident; sadly not, at prime time 5-6pm on a Saturday it looks like most voted with their feet and are staying away; wished we'd had. Service was slow and inattentive, from the outset no kids menus provided, drinks service was slow, steak sandwich had been downgraded from last trip with fish and chips coming from frozen pieces. Warm desert was cold in the middle! On top of that they cranked the music in the dining area which got several tables off their seats to get it turned down. On using our voucher it was strangely credited and we were given the wrong bill too and only received a cursory apology at the end. Eating twice at this location, one week apart was a good idea. The Mike Burger on the first visit, with the kettle chips was not a good meal at all. I'm glad we went back the next Friday, this time for lunch, the steak sandwich was excellent. The lunch staff were excellent, attentive, music responsive, and the steak was reasonably priced. After all, my meal is all about the meat, the presentation and the restaurant atmosphere this is my third Mister Mike's location review and I'm glad I did not right after the poor Burger on my first visit, and duly noted to step up your burger offering and perhaps "terminating the kettle chips". read more

Went to Mr Mikes on Sat night for my birthday. Other than getting a wonderful dessert, I would not go back there. My DIL had chicken which was way over cooked and she could not eat it. waitress said she would tell chef. nothing offered. I had steak bites. Most disgusting looking food ever. My wife and I ordered the 8oz New York with the garlic lobster mashed for $36 per plate. Both plates arrived cold, you could tell from the cool French onion soup bowl that the potatoes were prepared earlier in the day. The steaks tasted good but they were both barely warm. For appy we got the lobster dunk for 14, it was a small, small bowl of lobster and cheese with pile of chips. The dunk was tasty but Really thick not really like a dip. Can I put less then one star? My buddy and I had burgers before we went out. The bread was old, the burger tasted plain. There was no sauce. We fought through thinking "whatever" might of been a bad day for the cook. We were wrong. Good clean fun and great food. I travel a lot and I am glad when I can find a Mr. Mikes in some town I visit. In this case, this one is in my home town. They are corporately pretty consistent and usually a good pick for steaks, drinks and a good meal. You can't go wrong with the Horny Ale in those cool tall thin monster mugs! This visit we had the Steak bites and I had the Lobster Salad, and my wife had the Cascadia Salad. Needless to say they were both great! I think their 3 P's - plating, presentation and portions were good in my opinion. I love the steak bites but i would like to see a different or another choice of dipping sauce as this one is blaaa. I can't speak to their dine in service as we ordered take out but what I can say is that the food was expensive for what it was. I ordered the Antler Ale Steak salad which was over 18$ after tax, it came with steak about the size of a playing card, greens that very much appeared to be from one of those premade salads in a bag and a smattering of tortilla strips. Did I mention it was 18$....seriously! It felt and tasted like the type of meal you'd throw together after work when your to tired to cook supper. All four of us felt we'd paid way to much for a meal we could have slapped together on our own for much cheaper. Pro's. The people we dealt with during ordering and pick up seemed pleasant. The tiny steak was actually medium rare as ordered, which happens less then I'd like to admit Con's Far to expensive for the quality of the food.
