Finally back to somewhat of a "norm." 'March 20, 2021. My husband and I decided to go check out this place that we've being going to since it opened. Turns out.. we were so disappointed. Seems like, they just turned they key to open since lifted Covid restrictions and got a couple of rags to dust the seating area. Restrooms were gross, no toilet paper, trash cans spilling over with toilet paper. Floors haven't seen a mop in days. Patrons were walking to and from their seats to the bathroom without masks, standing around with their drinks in hand. Management/employees didn't seem care. We're still in a pandemic people!! It was difficult to flag a server down (to get a refill on water, etc.) because the servers were too busy chit chatting with customers sitting at the bar. 30 minutes to get our check? Wow. The food wasn't that great either. We ordered traditional wings (lemon pepper, medium and spicy BBQ), fried zucchini and chili cheese tater tots w/ carne asada. What a Cluster F! This place is huge, lots of seats. Nice atmosphere, TVs everywhere. What could go wrong?? Everything! We walk in, no greeting. We have no idea where to sit. So we waited until someone noticed us. The server takes our drink order. Then takes our regular order. After we received what looked like frozen food We couldn't get our servers attention. Then we got a bunch of confusing looks. As if the server was trying to read our minds. We wanted another round of drinks. Instead, she brings the check. Ok fine... give us the bums rush. She explains.. Here's the difference in cash. I said For what? I charged you for 8 plates of wings. Can't you void the check? I don't know how. Frustrated, I look over the bill. Thankfully it was not ours. She realizes, then walks over to the next table. We ask for our bill. Big surprise, we were also charged for 8 plates of wings. I requested a new check. I noticed our bill was for $48 & change. I gave the server $60. After a 15min wait. We received $10 & change...no receipt. I don't know what kind of scams they are pulling. After she charged us it didn't come out even, she blamed us for not doing it right & gave us attitude like are you serious?? THIS IS YOUR JOB! She couldn't just do separate transactions? She's an airhead, also the dark hair "chola" looking one gives dirty looks as if she wants to fight the women and only pays attention to the men. The wings were solid - a nice spice to them - Excellent The pizza we ordered was a meat lovers type of pizza (I didn't check the name) The pizza was a thin crust. The crust could have been cooked longer to crisp it up. The next time we are in there I'll just have them cook the pie longer for a well done pie. The pie had excellent flavor. They have Happy Hour Daily ($2.00 pints) We had a pitcher of Corona Light $13.00 (versus paying $4 per pint - DEAL) - We were there after Happy They have big screen TVs and I was able to catch the Los Angeles Kings game. The first time I came here I was excited that a place opened up in Montebello that had a pretty good selection of beers on tap and in bottle and hot wings which are some of my favorite things to eat. Anyhow, after my first initial visit's I continued to experience MISTAKES with my food orders. Not only that but I also experienced very poor customer service. Most of the waitresses there have very bad attitude's. The sad thing is, the owner seems to support their very unprofessional ways and he seems to have a very bad attitude himself. He sets very low standards on how his business should be conducted and how his customers should be treated. The last couple of times I visited, someone brought it to my attention, that I should keep track of the amount of beers that I order because he was over charged. Sure enough, the same thing happened to me twice. Well, to put it in a nutshell, if you're looking for a nice new place to dine that has good food, good service, and good ambience. This is definitely not the place for you. The flavors and the quality of food they serve is poor, the service is absolutely poor, and the place itself usually appeals to people who like to stay and drink, and drink some more. If you're looking for a place to drink your tail feather off and enjoy being around like minded people. In general the wings were really dry (overfried?) The LA Hot tasted like bland tabasco sauce (bitter, too). The Cilantro lime ones were super greasy and tasted like they were rubbed in dirt. Well where do I start with this establishment. Went in with my girlfriend for food and a drink. She ordered a michelada, I got a beer, beer battered onion rings and a Pizza. Then our dinner started with a major fight between gnats and us. Gnats keeps coming and we would swoosh then away they kept coming back though. Horrible experience would not recommend to ANYONE! It doesn't smell like fried food like other joints, the walls are tastefully done up not cluttered. I went with a group of people and we ordered from all over the menu! Pizza, Wings, Appetizers, Sandwiches.. we would have ordered Beer but we were all driving and decided to stick to Iced Teas and Sodas! I have been back a few times since my last review. My latest trip was on a Sunday evening. I walked in and the place wasn't to busy. I walked up to the lady putting in an order and she told me to sit anywhere I like, had a party of two. We sat in a booth and I notice they they have a buffet that starts at one. I did not come for this but I thought it was a nice addition. Sat down ordered a drink along with chips and salsa. As we sat and talked I notice this guy, looked to be the manger/maybe owner, he was starting to shut down the buffet. Again, we did not come here for the buffet. As I am watching the manager interact with his 'friends/boys' he corrals then over to the buffet to get whatever they want. 14.99. Where they charged??? Great question. But all they did was thank him over and over for the food...hmmmmm.....Seems like a good old boys club to me and for this I rate a 1 star. It wasn't right. The wings are pretty small and drenched in sauce. I asked for extra crispy & it was just regular. Got the LA Hot Wings & Spicy BBQ. LA Hot was not really hot & a bit vinegary for my tastes. Spicy BBQ was probably the best one out of the bunch, because it did have the sweet to spicy ratio & you can tell the difference. Also since I asked for extra crispy, Instead of double frying it, They proabbly left it in there longer cause the meat was kind of dried & stuck to the bone. =[ Overall: I would proabbly not be back. They were delicious, I guess the problem I have with most wings is the vinegar content... These were not vinegary, I guess it depends on what you order. I feel bad for the poor girl who was our server. She didn't charge us correctly and was going at it with us. (We were a large group. We told them threatening us wasn't going to scare us because my dads a cop, and the server told me I'm not above the law. A new go to spot to watch Dodger games! The restaurant has a very nice sports bar with lounge seating and a great big screen. The atmosphere is pleasant and the A/C is on blast! I had a great michelada and their burgers are SUPREME! I had a very tasty veggie burger with mushrooms, grilled onions avocado and feta. Was my first time here cause someone recommended this place honestly customer service by the bartender Anna sucks she had very bad attitude. I was there for 10 min before I even got helped and that's cause this lady got her attention for me cause she was too busy flirting with her male costumers. I wasn't even done placing my order when she walked away and went to talk to her male costumers. Until I found a server and asked him to take my order.
