I'm not really big on fancy breakfast. I want some good chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy and pancakes with my eggs. So this is the place I come to for that. My favorite thing to order is the chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. You also get a choice of toast, sour dough, English muffin or biscuit. I opt for the biscuit and then ask for gravy to go on top. So now I get my biscuits and gravy with my chicken fried steak and I'm a happy girl. They give decent portions and the waitresses have always been very friendly. Their prices are also very reasonable. If you're expecting to come here and see an updated restaurant, you won't see that. This restaurant has that older coffee house look, which to me is what I like about it. read more

I had time to kill in this area. I thought I'd give this quaint looking place a try. I had the club, and it was great. My waitress was Tina. I know because her and all the other customers called each other by name. She was just what you want in a waitress: nice and psychic. Everything was so great, I'm glad I tried it out. Food was okay at best. For the price I expected better. I ordered the neighborhood classic which comes with waffles, bacon, sausage, and eggs. The waffles were very bland. Textured, but no flavor whatsoever. The only flavor that came from the waffles were from the large amount of butter they threw on top and two sides of syrup. My girlfriend ordered the pancakes and they definitely had a lot more flavor than the waffles. For the price and the experience I think we're better off going to Denny's down the street. read more

I love coming to this restaurant. I've been coming here since 1988 and have never been disappointed. The server Tina is one of the best servers I've ever encountered. I've been a fan since Kaiser South opened. It's a traditional stop whenever I have a doctor's appointment or lab work. The food seldom disappoints and service is always impeccable. Right across from my wife's work I had been thinking about stopping by for over a year, Monday my wife and I stopped by and we were in for a treat. The staff Chester and Penny where friendly and fast. We received our onion ring appetizers with time to enjoy them before the main course hit. I ordered the country fried steak which was fantastic I really loved the gravy. My wife loved her meat lovers bowl and her strawberry lemon-aid with real crushed fruit was also great. Two stars only because the cashier lady at the door was nice. I got the taco salad. DISGUSTING. The lettuce was clumpy and had a gross tint to it. The meat tasted like it was microwaved three times over. The beans tasted like they were old. I ended up forcing a couple bites down before using the "I'm full" excuse so I didn't have to eat anymore. I spent the rest of the time pushing food around my plate. read more

The staff at this restaurant this evening was very informative. Erica helped me understand how the chef prepares the steaks. I ask for it to be plain except for garlic, and it was PERFECT. Salad and baked potato were very FRESH as well. I wanted the strawberry shortcake, but was too full from the meal. Maybe next time. Now I know to have a rib eye steak for breakfast as well!!! Read reviews on yelp and considering all the stars it had I gave no hesitation into trying the place out. I don't ever leave bad reviews but SMH no matter how bad the food is. I have had better food ar McDonald's and the country potatoes tasted like the frozen ones from the market. I would think a restaurant would serve it's food on decent plates, I have never ate food off of a plate that looked so worn down, you couldn't even tell what color the plate was suppose to be. My cup had to replaced because of it being dirty. I should of left when I had the chance but I was not trying to be rude. The restaurant is an older type of place which I have no problems with even if everything looked like it needed to be replaced which I don't have have issue's with, but no matter how old or worn out a place is it does not justify them keeping it dirty, and nasty they should Have the place cleaned daily.., blinds had BBQ or ketchup sauce splatters all over, bathrooms were dirty SMH. never eating their again. read more

Just tried eating at Mr.Perry's and while eating my sandwich i looked over at my water glass and noticed something was in my water glass. I looked a little closer and it apperared to be a Roach leg in my cup. I then looked over at my 3 year old daughter cup and noticed a whole Roach floating in her cup. At that moment we notified the manager and left. This experience is a huge disappointment because this restaurant was a family favorite growing up. Its sad to see this restaurant go down hill. On top of the Roach in the cup, the fires were filled with grease and there seemed to be a lack in quality. I think this place needs new management and new cooks. This is truck stop food, like Denny's. The food isn't bad but it's not great, nothing seemed to be made, more like a lot of pre packaged food. After I placed my order I had the food 3 minutes later. The price is awesome, so was the service. I had eggs, hash browns, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Super slow service. Took 30 minutes for the lady to take our order and another 45-1 hour for our food to arrive. Husband ordered medium rare steak that came out super cook. Lol. He hates when people cannot even cook steak but he ate it since he was hungry. Would we come back? No not for the super slow service and lack of service even after being served. People all around us were complaining and one older couple joke about walking out since they been waiting for their bill for a while. We should listen to them when they told us not to eat there. read more
