I ordered Mr. Pickles on Mother's Day for pickup through the app and arrived around 3:40 just to give a little extra time. Super disappointed because the food wasn't ready until around 4:15ish. On Mother's Day, when you're the mom and everyone keeps asking when the food will be ready, it's honestly pretty frustrating. I don't order through apps very often, but this experience took way longer than expected, especially since I ordered almost 2 hours ahead thinking it would help them prepare. The app was never updated to let me know it was delayed or not ready. Once we got there, it also didn't seem like there was much urgency to get the sandwiches made. The employees were nice, and I understand holidays are busy, but the whole situation was frustrating. The sandwiches also weren't as good as they normally are. The one positive was that at least every order was made correctly. read more

We ordered online from the pool area with InShape at the back window. It took an hour, and when I checked in on it, they said "we're so sorry, we're starting your order now"....after an hour. The man who took my order was the rudest sandwich maker EVER. I haven't been to a Mr Pickles in a very long time and I will not EVER go back to this one. Every time I tried to tell the guy what I wanted he would interrupt me to ask if I wanted something else on the sandwich. I asked him to please let me finish and not interrupt me. He told me there is a "process" and I needed to "trust the tour guide." Then when he finally made the sandwiches, he stopped bagging after putting only one of my 3 items in the bag so that he could help someone else who came in with an online order. He laid a receipt on the counter in front of me. So I just grabbed the receipt and started to finish bagging my stuff, since he looked like he was done helping me. He looked at me and said "that receipt isn't yours. You need to slow down ma'am." he laid the receipt in front of me and stopped with my transaction, so what was I supposed to think. Not only was Jason rude, I also have several other names running through my mind that I could use. I'll never go back. Update: just learned that Jason is the owner. I love coming to this Mr. Pickles location specifically for Amanda & Shams!! have learned their schedule because I love the level of service they provide. They make my sandwiches incredibly fast, without missing a single ingredient, always giving me exactly what I ask for!! Amanda always has a smile on her face and creates customer experience by remembering what sandwich I get!! It makes me feel so special when I choose to get lunch at this location! Sometimes the lunch meat tastes different, not sure if that is a quality issue with the ordering... but I wish there was more consistency with the taste. I also suggest reconsidering the meat portions because they do skimp really bad on the meat for the price of the sandwich. If I'm paying close to $15-25 for sandwich, then I expect the sandwich to be more than just bread!!! I know this has nothing to do with the staff... they just do as they're told. I wish the dining area was more updated so I could enjoy eating my sandwich there. But it's kind of dated & I hope they update it in the future. Mixed review here! I came in already not having a great day and then I had take a massive dump. I went to the bathroom and there was no toilet paper. I had to use my hand and there was no soap. I stopped in for a first time. I was delighted that I could get a salad at a sandwich shop and that there was a sugar free beverage option. I'm on a keto diet, so my options are limited. I was traveling through during a heat wave, so I lingered for a bit, even after eating. There were three young workers on shift that were very polite and focused on tasks, but one young woman took time to recommend a dressing for my salad and that made me feel less like just another person passing through as I found myself feeling in the surrounding areas other businesses. The place is well worn, but clean. I'm picky about cleanliness, but I also delight that a restaurant is around so long that it becomes worn in places that tell a story. I noticed a local sports team photo on the wall and a giant Mr Pickle in a corner that makes you feel you could be in the original sandwich shop that supports the local's child athletes (small town feel). I travel a lot and let me tell you, when I spend money I always feel like I'm paying for more if I know they support local youth sports. Anyway, every customer that walked in seemed to leave in the same pleasant mood they arrived in. Plus I had a nice container to store my leftovers in to snack on back at the hotel. read more

I had a Linda Linda sandwich minus tomatoes, mom had potato salad, hubby had a Hang loose sandwich. The bread is Dutch Crunch. I personally think the bread is too hard, but hubby loves it. He was very happy with his sandwich. Has had Mr. Picked before, will have it again, and recommends them. I thought it was okay. But I'm a huge fan of Firehouse. Just left this Mr. Pickles, and it was the worst experience ever. I did a pickup order from DoorDash, went to check my order, and noticed my order was incorrect. I showed the team the inside of the sandwich and said it was supposed to be plain just turkey and cheese (yes my husband is boring.) Then the manager, JUSTIN, came out and was VERY RUDE saying that I didn't click or that and that he needs to notify doordash. That I need to do this and that next time I order. I said ok, but then he KEEPS GOING and keeps being rude. So I tell him that he doesn't need to be rude to me and that I wasn't rude to anyone. Came here today to get a Turkey sandwich on my break from work. I built my own sandwich and asked for everything on it with light mustard and the worker heard only "light mustard." They are stingy with the meat. One time I was there at the counter ready to order and the phone rang and they took the phone order while I stood there waiting at the counter. I left and went somewhere else. I submitted 2 online notes to Mr. Pickles and they did not respond. There are a couple other incidents with them that I can't remember that also sucked. Another thing you need to watch out for is when you first walk in the door about 2 feet to the left there is an 8 foot 1/2 inch ridge you can't see  sticking up the floor. About 14 years ago I did not see it as it is hard to see and I missed a step because of it and I tweaked my back and had to go to the chiropractor to get fixed. Rocklin Sunset location. Bad, bad business practices at this store. Had frequented the Lincoln store but was happy to find this store closer to me. First trip in they messed up my order. Specifically told the guy NO CHEESE or CREAM CHEESE and he even repeated it back to me. Get home and sure enough there's cream cheese on it. Also, they didn't include the extra cup of garlic sauce like I asked for and paid for. So I called the store and told a gal that he wasn't able to eat his sandwich because they put the cheese on it. She asked me for my name, telephone number and told me the next time I came in, there would be a free Big Jake replacement sandwich for us. So Today, about a week and a half after my first visit and the blunder of the sandwich, I order sandwiches and get to the register, give them my name and nobody can find anything about it. I explained the whole situation to them 2x, blah, blah, blah, but they all just looked at me. Even the manager sitting at the table heard everything (because by this time I'm a little pissed), but just sat there quietly and didn't even try to help. Such bulls**t. You'd expect them to live up to their word. I order a sandwich with specifics of what I want, they don't come through, then make a promise to me, and then don't come through with rectifying the situation they created in the first place.
