I had people over and decided to give them another chance. Ordered a monster special with sausage... mind you it was a pretty big pizza but really you sprinkle on like 5 small sausages?!!. I even ordered a couple pasta and nachos and burritos.. I use to always order from them and spend over $60 bc it was a little better than sf pizza but never again. I use to only order if we drunk and super hungry so didn't have much of a choice. We spend a lot of money and your just being a RIP off and greedy. The customer service is really horrible! I work in Richmond and the restaurants around my building are no longer appetizing. Mr. Pizza Man to the rescue! I don't mean to abuse exclamation marks, but the Romano pizza (artichoke hearts, red onions, chicken, tomato and pesto) is so delicious! You can smell it before you can taste it. Probably one of the worst run pizza places. It doesn't matter who takes the phone order it will inevitably be wrong. They usually take an hour longer than any time stated to deliver, and picking up takes just as long as a delivery order. All of this could be forgiven if the pizza were at a minimum edible. None of the employees were wearing face masks when I walked in for pick-up during a time in which covid cases are skyrocketing so that was really concerning. They also didn't process my order until I showed up for pick-up 30 min after I have ordered online so I had to wait another 20 min. Definitely don't recommended. read more

I recently moved to Point Richmond and was craving pizza. Extreme was closed so I figured that I try something else in Richmond I ordered a $30 pizza from here but that wasn't a problem, the problem was when I opened the box the pizza looked practically raw. Omg! The anchovies weren't cooked and my lady immediately said that she didn't want any. I tried it on the strength of the company name although later I find out that they are ficticiously using it. When I called to get my money back the manager refused. I've never had this happen before. I'm a pizza lover and they could of had a regular client. I should have checked them out on yelp BEFORE I ordered. Just spent $60 bucks here and had to wait an hour and a half for our food to arrive. To top it off the food wasn't even hot. Lukewarm at best. My friends live in Richmond and order Mr. Pizza Man pretty often. The pizza itself is pretty good. I love the crust. The customer service, on the other hand, sucks to say the least. The main reason we like ordering from them is because they take delivery orders until midnight and almost always deliver well before the time they quote you. The other night, we called around 11:45 pm to get a couple orders of wings. My friend specifically said, "Can we please have extra ranch?". The wings got there and we decided that we were tired and would eat them the next day. We open them up the next day and realize that not only was there no extra ranch, there wasn't the ranch it was supposed to come with in the first place! My friend has a 4 month old baby and can't exactly leave the house just to grab some ranch real quick. We decided that since we order from Mr. Pizza Man a lot, they might not mind sending over a couple ranch dressings for a delivery close by. We called and the woman told us that the driver would give her a hard time since it wasn't his order and not his fault. She kept saying, "I'm just trying to be honest." Yeah, that's great. Thanks for being honest, but that doesn't solve the problem. We even offered to tip the guy $5 for his trouble, but the woman (who we are pretty sure is also the manager) kept insisting that she didn't want him to give her a hard time about it. One of my best home ordered pizza experiences.. The pizzas are creative and delicious and will not cause sticker shock.. I am actually shocked that I ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza and it was...well, delicious! The pesto special was not my bag.. but I have ordered their plain cheese and red sauce pizza as well as numerous other pizzas from this spot and they were all molto benne! Aside from the pizza, you can order tacos, burritos, pasta, salads..and have it all delivered..not too shabby! I came home to a Mr. Pizza Man flyer in my mailbox. I've never tried them before so me and my peeps decided to give it a go. We should've tried the pizza because we all just decided to get our own separate thing. I was hoping their Italian would be better than Americana's, but I guess pizza is probably what they do best. I ordered the spaghetti with garlic butter and the image that popped in my head looked and sounded really good. But what I got was hella bland and dry spaghetti with raw chopped (bottled, I'm sure) garlic all over it. No salt or anything. Whack. I'm buying meat and sauce and doctoring that bad boy up tomorrow for dinner. I will give them another try, but probably will just go for pizza. read more

Pizza was okay...but wait for it..things are about to get fun. Wings were good. We order Italian Combo whatever and have a coupon for wings and two liter. Order over the phone and give CC#. 40 minutes later guy comes with our order and when I ask to sign the CC slip, he gives me a wtf? look. He calls the place and they say the CC was declined. I heat up a few pieces in the toaster oven to eat while surfing the internet. Chomp, chomp, OUCH! I search around with my tongue to find the cause of my pain...find something hard. Figuring a piece of bone or something from the sausage-I remove hard item from mouth. I scrape away Klingons. Item is metallic..WTF? but maybe a piece of a serving spoon or mixer. I investigate further. Looks familiar. OMG! It is a piece of a forking screw! Not a machine screw that would be part of cooking utensils or appliances but a forking WOOD screw! There was a chunk of a WOOD SCREW in my food! Now comes the good part. Remember the part where they say the CC was declined? My wife checks in the next day and it says the charge is "Pending". She calls MR. Pizza Man (who is actually a woman who mumbles) to discuss the "Pending" charge on a "Declined" transaction. The woman didn't speak English well enough to understand the issue. Whatever. So it goes. When they go to finalize the transaction, they will not have a signed receipt, realize we paid cash, and credit the account. Next day? Wammo! Transaction goes through! They still don't speak English well enough to reverse the charges so I have to go through my bank's fraud department! Chicken was dry jerky and came with spaghetti that was basically ketchup and noodles YUCK and nothing was seasoned, shrimp tacos were bland poppers were crappy frozen Costco brand and the food quality is VERY low quality, you would find higher quality food in a PRISON . We ordered an x-large pizza from them 3 toppings. When we got the pizza it was only 2 toppings. When I called the manager she was very sarcastic said there was nothing we can do. So I called, and I got the worst attitude from the phone guy - as if I was the one who made the mistake. He said "well, what do you want?" Will never order from here again. 42 minutes after I placed the order the driver calls and says he is outside. I tell him no he isn't, as I can clearly see he isn't out there. He says he is and hangs up on me. 10 minutes later after multiple attempts the call him back and call the restaurant I finally get a call from the restaurant stating the driver is outside my apartment complex. I tell them to send him in and they say no, their drivers do not enter into complexes. So I say you could have told me this when I placed the order. So, I ordered for delivery so I wouldn't have to leave the house and yet I still had to leave the house. Almost an hour from order to "delivery". The soda was warm the pizza was..warmish.
