The entire process was pretty easy. The technician was friendly and respectful. I think the price was a little high at $345 to replace a wax ring but the quality and speed of service and ease of scheduling made up for it. Sometimes it's worth it to just get the job done, and to have the feeling that it was done correctly and with integrity. We called in Mr Rooter for a second opinion, after another company gave us an estimate for $30,000 for major surgery to replace a drain that snaking and blasting couldn't. Call the city, Rooter told me: Brockton -- alone in MA -- still takes care of the outside drain all the way to the foundation. ALWAYS call them FIRST. Brockton Sewer was there within the hour, and ended up replacing about 50 feet of pipe right where our drain connects. PROBLEM SOLVED at a cost of $0! Field manager Brian came out on a wet Saturday to crawl under our home to help us find the source of a sewage leak. He provided a detailed report and photographs which we were able to take to our building management and pass the large job along to them. I recently lost my husband earlier in the week. It was unexpected. When I came home from the hospital I had forgotten that my husband reached out to a family friend who is a plumber prior to going to the hospital. When I came home and noticed the shower and kitchen sink was backing up, I called Mr. Rooter and they sent Christian Carroll to my house. With about 2 dozen family members unexpectedly showing up, Christian was in tune with what was going on at home. There was enough emotions going around to last a life time. Earlier today I wrote a negative review on another company who looked at our backed up sink and immediately said the price would be $436 (!! for a simple backed up kitchen sink). So I called Mr. Rooter and they sent a technician immediately. The technician, Andy, was quite polite and very competent. He fixed the problem in about 30 minutes. If he didn't have to disassemble the trap below the sink the price would have been $79. With the disassembly and reassembly the price was a very fair $126. Hence, I couldn't recommend Mr. Rooter of Long Beach more highly. read more

Two days before Thanksgiving, the tub in our bathroom got clogged and the water just wouldn't go down. It got us even more worried when we realized that running the kitchen sink would add to the water in the clogged bathtub! So we called Mr Rooter to see if they can come out to fix the problem. It seems like they were super busy, but said they will try to send someone out if a crew has a cancellation or something. They said they'll give me a call the next day in the morning to let me know if something opens up.
