I've always loved Mr Sun's boba drinks, though it was my first time at this store location. My drink (mango tea with mango boba) was as expected -- delicious and 'hit the spot' on the hot day -- but there was no welcome, even with no customers inside, and poor signage as to where to pickup orders. The parking was no bueno. I missed the parking structure because it looked like a residential lot, so I parked at a 15-min takeout zone behind a restaurant, which felt like a far walk in the hot sun. (Sun... get it?!!) Inside was disorderly, but there were things to look at, which was fun: a shelf of toys, a game that looked defunct, and lots of menus and promo signs. I walked all the way to the other end of the store in search of the drink pick-up area to no avail. There was a tiny handwritten note (it was like a scavenger hunt) taped to the counter that said to go to ordering area for drink pickups. I then walked back to the middle of the store to retrieve my drink. What would have been nice is if the employees had greeted me, since I was THE ONLY CUSTOMER in the store, and then they could have directed me or just given me my drink so I didn't have to hunt for it. Also the prices are pretty high (mostly ~$8 and up), but most drinks do NOT include toppings (boba, pudding, jelly). I do appreciate that you can customize sweetness and ice on non-smoothie drinks, but for the nonexistent customer service and inconvenient pickup, I think the price is too high. So it boils down to this: Drinks: 5 stars Customer service: 1 star Location/inconvenient parking: 3 stars Price: 3 stars

Mr. Sun's stashe aesthetic was really what inspired me to visit this shop on an absolutely hot day here in Mountain View. I was so ready for another boba drink and they delivered. The interior was quite large for a boba shop. There aren't a lot of tables but definitely standing areas where you can watch the outside world go by. If weather permits, you can enjoy your drink at a table outside the shop. Everything is ordered through the kiosk. However, there was no way to substitute or remove an item such as the boba cream for my drink, so I made sure to inform the staff once the order went through. I went with an Early Grey Milk Tea with Soy Milk, Boba, and less sugar. The drink was well blended and I could taste the tea over simply just sugar. I was happy they included non-dairy milk! Drinks came in compostable paper cups making it easier on the earth. Definitely would come back the next time I'm in the area.

First time at this location - used to frequent the Cupertino location until they closed down. Went on a warm Sunday and the crowd was pretty large. I almost didn't see the self-order kiosk so I think someone cut in front of me as I was getting my bearings! There was a posted menu when we walked in but it was a little tricky to find those items on the ordering kiosk. Prices were a bit on the high side but portion size is good. Had a VERY long wait, almost 40 minutes, which is terrible especially since it looked like orders placed after mine were ready first. There was no real organization with the pickup process. Cups were randomly placed on the counter and it was hard to see whose order was ready unless you peered at the small label on it. Orders with multiple cups were not always completed together. On a positive note, the worker who answered a promotion question I had was friendly even though the promotion had expired (note: they need to remove the sign!), and the drinks tasted good.

Positives: Love that they make their own boba - it is perfectly bouncy. Drink (Golden milk tea with boba) was tasty and at 50% plenty sweet. Plenty of indoor seating. Negatives: Disappointed that the handcrafted boba series doesn't include boba as a default (or so I was told) and I had to pay to add it. Also it was very slow yet they just let a number of unmade drinks stack up before making them (took almost 15 mins waiting before they started making the drinks) so it took over 20 mins to get it. Disappointed in the service.

right when u walk in, ur greeted with flat screen tv's advertising their mission: low calorie, additive, fresher boba pearls made in house!! i def tasted that in each sip + the tea was rich, creamy, strong floral. MR SUN does not skimp when it comes to quality. my mom who likes things less sweet approved

Good location at the end of Castro street. Mango milk tea was good with cheese foam. Would come here again:

I've seen a few locations around and decided that I should try it out. I have been looking for different places with mango drinks and saw that they have a few on the menu. This Mountain View location is pretty spacious with a parking lot. It was a nice place to just hangout and chill. You order off kiosks so not much interaction with staff. Mr. Sun Mango W/ Mango Boba (2/5): This was way too sweet and the mango flavor tasted artificial. The syrup was probably too intense from the mango boba which I didn't enjoy that much either. Maybe I should've ordered a mango smoothie or something else. Not sure if it would have made a difference with the overpowering mango syrup taste. Overall it wasn't a pleasant drink experience.

I love it!!! I came here to try their handmade, low calorie boba with different boba flavors such as mango, strawberry, grape, etc. I got the rainbow milk tea which has a little bit of each boba flavor variation they offer. I would come back to try the unique menu items such as their heineken based green tea.

I like this place, especially their egg pancakes. However, this place is greatly understaffed. You can easily spend 30+ mins waiting to get your order. I think customers are quite upset. It's not worth it anymore.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! We ordered and weren't informed the boba would take 30 MINUTES to make.

I got the drink special recommended to me by the workers which was the Sana'a Latte. All drinks have the option to come iced or hot and they are paired with a small middle eastern cafe. Perfect to have a coffee and a meal! The beans were strong but not burnt and I loved the taste! They offered huge variety of latte flavors and syrups and many were unique. While seating inside/outside seems to be a bit limited I have also never seen all seats occupied. Would love to come back and try the food options and more coffee flavors and update my review as well!

I must admit that I still have a knee-jerk reaction of rolling my eyes whenever someone tells me…read morethat they are gluten-free (NOT counting those that have Celiac/gluten allergies). However, I will say that one good thing that has come from this movement is the plethora of innovative gluten free bakeries and eateries that serve up tasty products. I first learned about Sweet Diplomacy when my neighbors gave me some cupcakes from here that tasted amazing. When I looked them up, I was surprised to learn that they were in Los Altos as I live nearby and had never heard of them. The shop is very cute and homely and feels as if you are in someone's home kitchen. Although they seem to specialize in cupcakes, they also serve a number of other gluten-free and even vegan items. I should note that this bakery focuses on more desserts (ie cookies, cakes, tarts, etc.) rather than pastries (ie croissants and buns). I never thought that my new favorite go-to bakery would be a gluten-free one. As a Mountain View resident, I must say that it is also nice not to have to trek to Palo Alto in order to get some tasty cupcakes!

I was standing at the glass for a while before being acknowledged. Someone finally came over, and I asked if the Ube Black Sesame cookie was vegan since the display writing was a bit smudged. The staff member confirmed, so I got that cookie and a Gingersnapperdoodle since I loved it before. I also asked about the Brownie, but did not receive a very helpful reply. My question: Is the brownie very rich? The response: It's like any other brownie. I'm not a fan of chocolate items that are super rich, and some brownies are fudgy, but some are more mild. I'd expect someone working there to be a bit more helpful and descriptive. I ended up not getting a brownie. Lowering my rating because the service was subpar, and the Ube flavor was nonexistent in the Ube Black Sesame cookie. The Gingersnapperdoodle was still yummy like before, but had a more sandy texture than last time.
