Mr. Sun's stashe aesthetic was really what inspired me to visit this shop on an absolutely hot day here in Mountain View. I was so ready for another boba drink and they delivered. The interior was quite large for a boba shop. There aren't a lot of tables but definitely standing areas where you can watch the outside world go by. If weather permits, you can enjoy your drink at a table outside the shop. Everything is ordered through the kiosk. However, there was no way to substitute or remove an item such as the boba cream for my drink, so I made sure to inform the staff once the order went through. I went with an Early Grey Milk Tea with Soy Milk, Boba, and less sugar. The drink was well blended and I could taste the tea over simply just sugar. I was happy they included non-dairy milk! Drinks came in compostable paper cups making it easier on the earth. Definitely would come back the next time I'm in the area.

First time at this location - used to frequent the Cupertino location until they closed down. Went on a warm Sunday and the crowd was pretty large. I almost didn't see the self-order kiosk so I think someone cut in front of me as I was getting my bearings! There was a posted menu when we walked in but it was a little tricky to find those items on the ordering kiosk. Prices were a bit on the high side but portion size is good. Had a VERY long wait, almost 40 minutes, which is terrible especially since it looked like orders placed after mine were ready first. There was no real organization with the pickup process. Cups were randomly placed on the counter and it was hard to see whose order was ready unless you peered at the small label on it. Orders with multiple cups were not always completed together. On a positive note, the worker who answered a promotion question I had was friendly even though the promotion had expired (note: they need to remove the sign!), and the drinks tasted good.

Positives: Love that they make their own boba - it is perfectly bouncy. Drink (Golden milk tea with boba) was tasty and at 50% plenty sweet. Plenty of indoor seating. Negatives: Disappointed that the handcrafted boba series doesn't include boba as a default (or so I was told) and I had to pay to add it. Also it was very slow yet they just let a number of unmade drinks stack up before making them (took almost 15 mins waiting before they started making the drinks) so it took over 20 mins to get it. Disappointed in the service.

right when u walk in, ur greeted with flat screen tv's advertising their mission: low calorie, additive, fresher boba pearls made in house!! i def tasted that in each sip + the tea was rich, creamy, strong floral. MR SUN does not skimp when it comes to quality. my mom who likes things less sweet approved

Good location at the end of Castro street. Mango milk tea was good with cheese foam. Would come here again:

I've seen a few locations around and decided that I should try it out. I have been looking for different places with mango drinks and saw that they have a few on the menu. This Mountain View location is pretty spacious with a parking lot. It was a nice place to just hangout and chill. You order off kiosks so not much interaction with staff. Mr. Sun Mango W/ Mango Boba (2/5): This was way too sweet and the mango flavor tasted artificial. The syrup was probably too intense from the mango boba which I didn't enjoy that much either. Maybe I should've ordered a mango smoothie or something else. Not sure if it would have made a difference with the overpowering mango syrup taste. Overall it wasn't a pleasant drink experience.

I love it!!! I came here to try their handmade, low calorie boba with different boba flavors such as mango, strawberry, grape, etc. I got the rainbow milk tea which has a little bit of each boba flavor variation they offer. I would come back to try the unique menu items such as their heineken based green tea.

I like this place, especially their egg pancakes. However, this place is greatly understaffed. You can easily spend 30+ mins waiting to get your order. I think customers are quite upset. It's not worth it anymore.

There's a few other Mr. Sun locations, this one stands out for its spacious interior. A great spot for the selection of fruity drinks and fun boba options (love the variety of fruity bobas)! I tried their non-alcoholic Heineken, which was great as a fun one-off (don't get me wrong, drinkable, but I got it for the novelty). I probably will go with their fruity options which are superb. The staff was friendly and offered to let us sample the teas and boba before deciding. For ordering, there's a kiosk or the Snack Pass app. Snack Pass lets you earn rewards and do mobile orders. Bonus: there's a parking garage right next door.

Drink 4/5 Nothing in particular stood out to me in terms of their drinks. Their #1 heniken green tea was refreshing and a good alternative for people who don't want alcohol. Their new summer drinks Hazelnut milk tea smoothie with sweet foam was way too sweet. Their boba/pearls are chewy and handmade. Service 4/5 They have two kiosk for you to order. Regular service as most boba shops where they call out your number for pick-up. Ambiance 4.5/5 I like that this location is big and quiet. Located next to a small luxury apartment, it has street parking and a one level parking structure for retail. Tables were kept clean and has free WiFi for those who wish to do work.

We love the Domingo Mimosa Sour beer they carry (it's not available a lot of times) -- it used to be a repeat buy for us, every single visit! They have great vegetarian options -- the barley soup and the mushroom caramelized onion pizza are so good. We're always a fan of their vegan chocolate cake, and the croissants are good too. There's also a wide variety of cheeses, which I really like (some days you can try those as well before buying). Their desserts are consistently good -- I once picked up assorted tarts and they were delicious, our friends liked it too! The garlic ricotta pizza slice looked pretty appetizing, but it was a bit too salty for my taste (I do not eat less salt in general). It's definitely not your regular grocery store -- everything is high quality, thoughtfully stocked, and yes, a bit on the pricier side, but most times we can tell the difference. The ambiance and cleanliness are always top-notch -- it is Whole Foods, after all. The staff is efficient and always available, at the Amazon returns section. Parking is usually easy with plenty of spots in the basement, unless you're lucky enough to grab one right outside at ground level.

Sooo gooood! It also had chicken but chicken was dry. I added over medium eggs (for extra charge) and this was a better protein pairing for this dish. The Crab Benedict was a crab patty and a had a slightly spicy sauce instead of usual Benedict hollandaise sauce. Good but not as special as the Mole Chilaquiles. Also came with potatoes which were pretty good and nicely seasoned. French Toast was good. They serve it with cinnamon butter and syrup. The Tres Leches pancake were good, too. Stack of 3 pancakes sitting in a generous pool of milk sauce with strawberry slices and whipped cream on top. Not much to note about the actual pancakes but they were soft. Lemonade is refillable for $5. Reasonable pricing. Food took about 15 min to come out. Very limited parking spaces. Be sure not to park in spaces with numbers as they are not for the restaurant.

We read reviews ahead of time and saw it was recommended to order online and come and pick up andi felt like this was a MUST DO, if you didn't want to be waiting all morning. I came to pick up my drinks about 25 min after opening and their running count for drinks made that day was already nearing 100. We tried the strawberry avocado smoothie and the mango avocado smoothie and both were great! I would recommend getting the mango if you had to choose between the two. We got 30% sugar (recommended) and I would say that was perfect! We added the oat pearls, and they were good. Different than the typical boba. I may prefer the other kind of boba, but my husband liked the oat boba better. I would love if they had both options to choose between and would love a few more non caffeinated options. Those are my two recommendations for change. We will be back!

It's quite different from a typical boba shop, focusing more on fruit-based and creative specialty drinks, with several unique combinations that you don't see very often. This visit, I ordered the Avocado Snow Ice drink, the signature milk tea, and a durian drink. The avocado drink was probably the biggest surprise of the day. It tasted like real avocado rather than artificial flavoring, with a rich and creamy texture. The grains and seeds at the bottom added an interesting layer of texture, making it feel more like a dessert than a drink. The signature milk tea had a noticeable tea flavor and wasn't overly sweet, making it easy to enjoy. As for the durian drink, it delivered exactly what durian lovers would hope for--strong aroma, rich flavor, and a texture similar to a durian milkshake. The packaging also deserves a mention. The designs are distinctive and eye-catching, giving the brand a unique identity and making the drinks great for photos as well. Prices are a bit higher than your average boba shop, but the quality of ingredients and creativity behind the menu make it feel justified. After trying boba and tea shops for years, it's refreshing to find a place that offers something genuinely different. Not every drink will be everyone's favorite, but the menu is memorable enough to make you want to come back and explore more. Overall, a solid first visit, and I'll definitely be back to try some of their other specialties.
