Great food and fast service. I go for the California Rolls and the Rock Shrimp. Everything is always super fresh. Also, the Shrimp Tempura is a must!

Sushi is my favorite food and I kid you not when I say I can eat it everyday... as a matter of fact, this is the second time this week I ate out from Mr. Sushi. Mr. Sushi is hands down the best sushi restaurant I have ever had that is completely worth it at its price.... it is so affordable for such amazing quality. I have numerous other sushi places in Philly, but by far Mr Sushi is the one restaurant I always am craving every week. Honestly at this rate, they should give me a rewards card for the amount of times I have ordered and eaten there lol! I recommend ordering the Make Your Own Makimono combo. It comes with salad, miso soup, and three rolls from the hoso/reversed maki list. The rolls are always so nice and the perfect size- I have always had the same consistent size and taste with the rolls. The fish is always so fresh and SO flavorful. Their Kamikaze roll, Raw Viking roll, and Ex-Girlfriend rolls are my top three favorites! Their menu also has a tasty variety of asian fusion foods- I noticed they have some Japanese/Korean style foods such as Tuna and Salmon Bimbipap. I don't believe their dining room is currently open for dine in atm but they have an excellent Takeout system (we never did delivery since it is a short drive away). Always have had a quick and friendly experience eating at the restaurant and for take out. Do yourself a favor and try this place!

This sushi was amazing!! It was extremely fresh and had great flavor! I got the Kamakazi roll and the spicy Salmon. I was nervous trying a new place but I can't wait to come back up here again to try more rolls!

Located between a dunkin donuts and a Wendys, you would not expect to find great sushi place, but alas there lies Makiman. Not only is this place great sushi, but its BYOB and has friendly servers. I made the mistake of ordering a pick up order from a number I found on their website and turns out it was their other location! Needless to say they were happy to get my order made again and call the other place to let them know. Definitely order: The Mexican Roll - it's sweet, crunchy and perfect The Nutty roll - it's crispy, nutty and smooth The Shrimp roll - It's simple fresh You can skip: The Makiman Fries - unless you are completely hungover, way too greasy The Seafood platter appetizer - Also very greasy, small portions and not worth the price The only reason I don't give them the full 5 stars is bc they are a bit pricey ($12 for a small fusion roll) and they do take a long time bc it's usually busy and only 2 chefs. With that said, get here, there's parking too!

    Tempura, Bibimbap take out

Amazing food and good delivery service! Let me tell you, take-out hits soooo different when you've had nothing but rice at home for half a year because of quarantine. I ordered both Tempura Udon and Bibimbap for me and my mom! The Udon was truly filling...I even gave my mom a small bowl of some because she wanted to try it AND I shared like half of my tempura with her so I essentially didn't even eat the entire portion, but my GOD I was so full after!! I can't even imagine eating the entire course. I wanted to go into a food coma. The meal had so much. The side salad with ginger dressing was good! The udon soup was very flavorful, albeit a bit salty. The tempura was great!! Hits my cravings for Japanese food satisfyingly. :) Loved everything!! Large portions for what you pay for. I used Grubhub, got it very quickly on a Sunday and the food was piping hot and freshly made. Awesome place. :)

The meat was moist, tasty, properly salted, with a discernible bark. The amount of cheese, sauerkraut, & dressing accentuated the pastrami, although so much meat would be hard to impact! It needed the long spear to stay together. But yet I could cut & shave & make mini sandwiches. The potato salad was a great refresher. Not too tart, with carrots, celery, & I could taste onion. The pickle was not too acidic. Great crunch. A nice interlude between bites of the sandwich & potato salad. I took my time. It went into overtime. Washing it down with coke. My taste buds won. Great service. A nice diner like vibe. Incredible menu. We don't have this level of Jewish Deli in the Bay Area. I'd go every week. $36.18 is with it! While I was downtown, I picked up about $92 worth of food, including 1 1/2 pounds of shrimp salad that couldn't be ordered online because, for some reason, the website would not allow it. The very next day, when we went to eat it, something was clearly wrong. The shrimp salad caused a tingling sensation on our tongues, and it was obvious it had gone bad. I called the deli to let them know not just because we couldn't eat it, but because I thought they would want to know if there was a potential issue with the batch. Instead of receiving an apology or any concern, I was met with a dismissive response of, "Oh, that's weird," and the conversation felt condescending. I explained that I couldn't bring the shrimp salad back because I'm leaving town and my mother has limited mobility. I wasn't asking for a refund on our entire order. I simply asked if they could issue a gift card or store credit for the shrimp salad so my mother could use it on a future visit. Every possible solution I suggested was met with an excuse as to why it couldn't be done. The spoiled food was disappointing, but the lack of empathy and customer service was worse. Loyal customers deserve to be treated with respect when they raise a legitimate concern. After years of supporting 4th Street Deli, this experience has unfortunately convinced us that it will be our last visit. I'm reading they have new owners, so maybe it's not the same amazing management we are used to.

After a long day exploring Philly, and having been away from home for a couple weeks at this point,…read morewe were looking forward to having some comfort Asian food. We sort of stumbled upon Luscious Dumplings. My partner mentioned that it sounded familiar, and when we looked it up later, it's a chain, with restaurants in California as well, and a Bib Gourmand to its name. We got a beef tendon soup (this was really good) as well as some bok choy. Coming from LA, we appreciated the prices. These are probably the reasons this place isn't a 1 or 2 star for us. Ok, so. We also got an order of the vegan dumplings...and these were just....very sad. They are supposed to be 小籠包s, but there was no soup in them! They were really dry, the skin was REALLY hard and dry and CRACKED, which should just never happen. I think these were hands down the worst dumplings I have ever been served in my whole life. And my family is from Taiwan. We eat a lot of dumplings. And then. On top of this, when I told one of the servers that the dumplings were subpar and asked them to be removed from the check, he curtly told me "不能退" ("no returns"). Uhhhh.... Then later, another (nicer) server came to check on us, and I said the dumplings were inedible. He said he would check with the manager, but came back and basically repeated the "no returns" line. Then yet later, the first (dour) server came with the check, I asked again if it could be removed from the check, he said no. I asked again. I showed again him the cracked bottoms and the dry, hard, inedible skin of all of the dumplings. Finally, he's like, "we can exchange it." At this point, I don't want this to be exchanged. It's just not good. So finally, FINALLY. He took it off the tab. Look. I want these dumpling places to do well. I was just so disappointed to feel the absolute lack of pride in the food that they serve, and their unwillingness to take accountability for it. So, hopefully someone reads this and can make some changes to food quality and make sure they are even across all of their restaurants. The restaurant itself was spacious, well-lit, and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean, and we didn't deal with parking here. If I lived in Philly, I would not come back here. And given that there are oodles of amazing places for dumplings and noodles in LA, most with better service, I doubt we will be going to their other locations either. This was a complete miss.
