I'm not sure if it was a yearly requirement or caused by an incident but either way it seemed the person should have been taking an anger management course as well. This was annoying and disconcerting at the same time. Plus I don't think he was taking it seriously as he was guessing the answers until he happened to press the correct answer. The service was slow and communication was poor. I was told it would take a few hours and it took so long I had to find dinner via Dominos Pizza nearby. Knowing is half the battle. If you control expectations, it becomes easier to deal with crisis communication. The cost of the fix was expensive. I'm glad I only needed two (out of four) sensors replaced on my tires. Appallingly bad service at the Edgewater, MD shop. Took daughter's car in for a routine oil change and the tech found an oil leak we had not known about (no yellow light, no oil puddles), ignored it, put new oil in, managed to strip the threads of the drain plug so it couldn't close, and told their internal manager, who ignored it as well and let us take the car as if nothing was wrong. Disaster was averted when she unexpectedly came home early from her nursing shift in Baltimore, driving back before all of the new oil had drained, but with the RED oil light on and the car actually beeping at her during the last few miles. By then the sun was up and we found the overnight oil puddle in the driveway. Criminal negligence! We will never use Mr. Tire or their parent company Monro ever again, and neither should you! read more

made an appointment for 10:30 am oct 19,2025... i was not seen until almost 11 and then told i wouldn't even have my car looked at for an hr. i just needed my tires checked for a leak and adding more air. a lady looked at their computer & i saw myself, there was almost 4-6 cars ahead of me. i wouldn't have left until almost 4-5pm. i had an appointment shortly in the afternoon and the desk guy said "want us to put air and you come back" i declined and he slid my keys across the front desk to me. very unpleasant and rude, dismissive when i was telling him about the tire pressure history. my partner is a mechanic and said everything that needed to be done. went to another shop and got done in less than 30 minutes. poor customer service and timing. :/ read more

Upon arrival an employee is hollering that if I am dropping off it will be about two hours because nobody wants to work, and that he had to change 4 tires on the SUV he was standing at. I tried to talk to him about my appointment, while he just continued to argue with me and talk over me. It wouldn't have mattered if it was a drop off, but I made an appointment for the very reason that I did not have a ride or the time to waste my day away at a tire shop. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. First, I got to my appointment on Friday only to be told by Kevin, acting manager, that my tires weren't there. No one called me prior. So, I let them know I'd like for them to call tomorrow (Saturday), if they did arrive. Kevin called. I brought my new car over. They didn't tell me that the car required a "key" to remove the tires. They called me after the mechanic, Russel Carpenter, had rifled through my entire car... getting black grease all over the leather/upholstery/doors/etc. It was a total mess. He even left my stuff scattered around the vehicle. Plus, I did not give them permission to go searching through the vehicle. I found the key and brought it them... why a tire shop doesn't have Toyota keys is beyond me? Seems like a standard piece of equipment. At this point, that's three trips to the shop before the tires are even done. Then, the gruff mechanic has the audacity to tell me I shouldn't have tinted the windows before the service because it makes his job harder... This is the same guy that dirtied my entire vehicle and opened compartments, left items laying around, etc. IT WAS THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD, ANYWHERE. I've posted photos from the trunk, after it had been ripped apart by Russel, the mechanic. I don't have photos of the front of the vehicle (especially the driver side and center console area) because I was in total shock at how filthy the interior was and didn't want the grease setting in the carpet. Drove the car into and over year later being told to tow it away. Had fuel filter replaced as advised by the Mr. Tire mechanic after getting tires nd breaks replaced in Spring 2022. Few weeks later smelled fuel in the cabin and took it to the shop in Dunkirk to check, since it was closer. After four weeks Mr. Tire in Dunkirk instead repairing the very small fuel staining, called me and left the car running in front of their store with fuel visibly dripping on the road. I drove it to Edgewater (would not do it again), since it was the store where filter was replaced few weeks prior. It has been there for over a year now. During that time too many phone calls were made, key and documents were lost, so did removed fuel line and newly replaced by Mr. Tire filter. I was told they could not find replacement part (Chevy Colorado!), so I purchased it for them at the neighboring Advance Auto Parts (likely also lost). Finally after all that, and countless phone calls, I am told to tow the car which is no longer drivable (after I drove it there) at my cost. Hope you can see that while I am not that smartest being so patient, there is definitely something very wrong with Mr. Tire's store at Edgewater, MD. After several calls I have been promised that Regional Manager would call me, but it has been more than a week and never received a call. From a while back took a trailer wheel and tire in to be replaced. Already took the wheel off the trailer and brought in just the wheel and tire. Trailer tires don't even have to be balanced, they took 2 days to do it and charged me $150 to mount 1 tire. I cannot say enough great things about all of the staff at this Mr Tire location. I went there when NO ONE ELSE WOULD HELP bc there was a large SNAKE inside the underside of my car. We watched the snake (a 4' ratsnake) climb underneath the wheel and go upwards. The car needed to get on a lift to find the snake. I called DNR, AAC Police, at least 3 different pest services, trappers, my VW dealership, an oil change place, a local repair shop, and no one was willing to help. I called Mr Tire and the manager immediately said he understood the issue was willing to help. When we arrived the tech was kind and excited about finding the snake. Initially they couldn't find it and assured me it was gone, but upon seeing my horror, he offered to take the different parts of my car off so I could be absolutely assured it was gone. And then the snake was found, hiding. They removed the snake safely and it was not harmed. I plan to go back and use this shop for any services we need. They were honest, kind, (brave), and hard working. read more

What good is it to make an appointment? I had a road hazard warranty on my tires. (Visit number one.) I had a tire damaged, covered under road hazard warranty. They patched/plugged the tire. (Visit number two) The tire continued to leak. So I made an appointment to have it checked. Despite having an appointment, and despite them knowing what the tire was since we bought it from them, I had to wait two hours for them to tell me they didn't have the tire in the shop. (Visit number three) I came back the next day at the time they told me to come. My wait the third time was two hours. They had to change one tire. It cost me over $100. Three visits and five hours sitting in the waiting room to get one tire fixed. And although it was covered by road hazard warranty it cost me money and a lot of time. They could have been much more communicative about the cost and much more respectful of my time. read more

Today I took a tire and a replacement tread to Mr. tire in Edgewater Maryland to try to have a simple five minute process done. From the moment I walked in the store I was given an attitude and overheard a lot of talk of how the employees were tired of customers calling them and asking about their vehicle. Seemed like a couple red flags, but I was still willing to give them a try. When I asked how much it cost to have my tire replaced the guy replied, bring me the tire. I said seriously I would like to know how much it cost before I bring the tire in. He said, did you hear me? I said bring the tire in! Needlessly to say, I did not bring the tire in, I came straight to you folks. Plenty of places to get your tires changed in this area, there is no reason to act like you're the only game in town Mr. tire. I will say that it was a gentleman that took care of me. DONT EVER GO HERE. Don't waste your time or money!!! I had my rear brakes done here AND A BRAKE FLUSH. I got in my car and the first stoplight I came to, I couldn't stop for it, my brake pedal went straight to the floor. One technician drove it, said "I don't know how to diagnose, I just fix cars". Kept my car overnight to fix the issue (again) and never called to tell me it was ready for pick up. Picked up my car.. STILL MAKING NOISES!! I take my car to a NEW shop for inspection- they noted my rear brakes weren't lubricated - the rear brakes done by mr tire. I also paid for a brake flush, the new shop notes dirty brake fluid and recommended a brake flush. Why is a new shop telling me my brake fluid is dirty if mr tire just flushed them?? I've been bringing my car here for about 2 years now. New to the area and was convenient/partnered with Goodyear so figured pretty respectable. Everything went fine when got my tires changed the initial two times I went there. I drive a 2014 Cadillac ATS. My differential went out. They charged me about 2k to get fixed. Took 3 weeks after saying another day another day another, got it back and broke down 2 days later (actual pieces of metal falling off the bottom of my car and car locked up on me). They said oh a nut came lose it happens, and fixed it for free minus the nut charge (whatever). Then I had to get my front break pads done (which I supplied to them) Dropped my car off on a Monday I believe and had no follow up call for over a week. Called back and they said the breaks I gave them were wrong... you coulda told me that days ago they said they forget. Call back 2 days later and they say your car hasn't even been seen yet. I finally said something because I commuter 45-90 minutes a day for work, catching rides, buying ubers/lyfts, being inconvenienced because you guys had service. Manager said he would compensate me for the trouble and my bill was even more than I expected. Oh don't forget in the midst of them working on it they said I needed a new lower left control arm, I said whatever go ahead and fix it. They fix it and they did both sides not just the one they said needed replaced. I also got a front end alignment. After all this stuff, MY FRONT END ALIGNMENT WAS EVEN STRAIGHT AND MY FRONT IS MAKING RATTLING NOISES. I called no answer for two days (A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THEM) And finally. Couple weeks later my car is riding hard and slowing down abruptly and I'm like here we go again, they claimed my wheel bearing went bad. Got it replaced, and a week later THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING. I've been out on hold more times and no response than I can count. I NEED MY CAR FIXED. And it's sad and screwed over for me because I DOnT WANT TO TAKE IT BACK TO THERE FOR THEM TO FIX YOUR MESS UP.... AGAIN!!! I drive a 2014 Cadillac ATS performance fully loadedand for 4+ years never had an issue outside of regular maintenance. As soon as they started working on my car, it's been one thing after another and not one job they have done has been correct or gone as it's supposed to. Idk what the deal is because they're nice guys when your in the shop, but outside of that it has nothing going for it. I'm on the verge of asking to be compensated for all USELESS EXPENSES and WASTED TIME AND FUNDS and getting a lawyer. I AM BEYOND FURIOUS. I knew I've been getting the run around and up charged and lied to as well. Just tried to give the benefit of the doubt. I'm driving a f***** up car that I pay an arm and a leg for that was PERFECT before they got their hands on it. My pushing point was I called yesterday to get an invoice sent to me and got put on hold for 20 minutes, hung up called back and no answer. Horrible Service. mr. Tire lied about needing a new tire. I am beyond disappointed at the experience we had at this location. Had a small nail in my tire and they said they could patch it when I called. My mother dropped car off and after waiting three hours for a call that the work was done, they informed we would have to replace tire (which was basically brand new) and they were unable to patch said we have to spend $160 on a new tire. We did not accept this and I went and picked car up, took to another tire place less than .25 miles away and was helped within 20 minutes with a patch on tire and only spent $30. WaIting so long for them to even deny doing the patchwork they said was possible is absurd. My male cousin had also looked at the tire and said was an easy patch job (he knows cars). They were trying to get over on us and make us spend unnecessary money. It was discrimination against my mother and I because we were women and they wanted us to spend more money and take advantage of us. Should be ashamed of themselves for poor business practice. I have been going to this Mr. Tire for over a year. I brought my Toyota Prius in for 4 $100 tires and an alignment. They charged me over $1,000 for the four tires and the alignment. The assistant manager even admitted it should have been much less and found some stuff on my bill that was not approved. The owner has refused to call me back or reimburse me after ripping me off. Fortunately it was only 2 months when I went to rotate tires and discovered the problem. They did have my wheel lock key. Ok, not so bad, will give them another try. Sent tires for another car there from Tire Rack. Appt for 11 am, after many times hearing "you are next, you are in work", the car was not ready until they closed at 6. Since they were so late, they decided not to check alignment or do the "free" 30 point inspection, both of which I specifically wanted and ask for. Worst thing is they seemed to lie about it as the manager said he left early but I talked with him 45 minutes before they closed, so I know he did not. Now I need to take it to another auto place to have the alignment checked. Two strikes, they won't get a third chance. read more

It was rather pricey for my oil change and filter change service (~$147; ~$127 after coupon). I would rather go to Valvoline for faster, better, and a little less expensive service. They're receiving 3 stars for giving me a $20 off coupon and at least keeping up with their services at their front desk! I recommend letting them know you need them to finish as soon as possible! I would rate Mr. Tire ZERO star if I could due to hidden charges and very disappointing experience. I went in for an oil change WITHOUT a coupon and a free tire rotation was performed. I thought the company was great and assumed the tire rotation is included with oil change. The next time I went in WITH a coupon for oil change and staff asked about tire rotation and since the first time the tire rotation was free even without a coupon and also the staff did not mention any fee this time, I said "ok". I later found out about the fee after the tire rotation had been completed. I am very unhappy about the hidden charges and confusing practice and subsequent misinformation. If there is a charge, I feel only fair to consumers that Mr. Tire should disclose prior to service. read more
