The food looked amazing when we got to our cabin. I had the California sandwich with fries and my husband got the beefy sandwich with Au jus and with fries. I have to say the customer service was a solid 10 out of 10, the ambience of the restaurant was also a 10 out of 10 very clean and comfortable but sadly I would say the food was a solid six out of 10 it looks so much better than it tasted. I stopped by Mr. Zeke's for NYE dinner and I am glad I did. Our party of 4 arrived about an hour before our reservation time and lucky for us, there was a table available. We all enjoyed our meal. They have an extensive wine menu, great apps and delicious food. And you can't beat the price! We had 2 different salads. Chef salad was disappointing. Just plain grocery store deli meat. Fiesta salad with crunchy chicken was good. Appetizer zucchini had way too much breading on it. Wow! Best lunch I've had on the mountain! Great service and food. Asked to sub turkey for pastrami on the Reuben and it was no problem, like it is another restaurant up here. And they piled it on! Incredibly delicious!!! My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with creamy, perfectly prepared gravy. The Parmesan garlic fries are truly the very best fries I have ever eaten. Mr Zeke's has great food and a great atmosphere - we enjoyed coming here. The service was great from the owner himself, and the Killer Chicken sandwich I had was awesome. Others in our group enjoyed their meals, including the kids chicken strips, their signature burger, and the roast beef sandwich with au jus. The wine selection is pretty good, but I just stuck with beer this time. Next time I'll try their wines! If you want good food and informal cool dining in the pines, you should make this place a part of your regular dining rotation! read more

I've tried so many times to like Mr Zekes but just can't do it it. Today we tried the Cut the Cheese. How can you ruin basically a grilled cheese sandwich. Advertised with 4 cheeses should have been oozing but no. Dry as could be. Bread wasn't even covered. One puny piece of tomato and maybe 1.5 slices of bacon for a large sandwich. Garlic/parm fries which are usually to die for were soggy no crisp at all. Service was mediocre at best even though they were not busy. Husband never got a warm up on his coffee even though I had flagged down the waitress. I'm done! No more Zeke's! read more

SERIOUSLY SO GOOD. we went back our second night in pine top to eat again it was that good (forgot to take pictures the second time). The service is great, we were sat right away and both times our servers were super friendly and quick. Everything we tried, sandwiches burgers shrimp pasta and salad, was SO. GOOD. !!! Tasty place, even though it still looks like Salt on the inside it was a completely different atmosphere. Lots of families, high chairs available, sports on the TV behind the bar. Onto the food: the menu was bigger than we expected, the breakfast compiled two pages, lunch was mostly burgers and sandwiches, and there were dinner options like salad, pasta and steak. I had a California burger, was a hand pressed patty cooked to order (correctly!) and parmesan garlic fries which were tasty but seemed like the end bits of a batch. They have tempura battered fried veggies and aeolis ontop different burgers/sandwiches to mix it up, was a nice change. The wife had a chicken fried steak and veggies which was also good, warm on the inside and crispy with a gravy that tasted home made. There wasn't a wait to be seated, and it took our food about 15 minutes after ordering. Different servers checked on us from time to time and our cups were never empty. I have been wanting to come here for months based on the reviews and told everyone how great it was. My experience was disappointing . We ordered soup, salad , sautéed shrimp and lasagna. They all came at the same time. When we said we were expecting the soup and salad before our meal, the server said we should have asked for that because that is not the way they do it. So we ended up eating our entrees first so they did not get cold. Salad and soup were good. The meals were not that great. Food was warm, but not hot. My shrimp tasted like boiled shrimp with some garlic sauce and the vegetable were soggy and watery. Like defrosted frozen veggies. My husbands lasagna was boring. Not a lot of flavor and barely warm. We left most of our meals. The staff was nice, the server apologized later and said the salads and soups should have been first. The food here was excellent. I had a grilled spicy chicken sandwich with there soup of the day. We also shared calamari which was served on a delicious flavored cabbage salad. It was the best calamari I've ever had. The chicken sandwich was delicious and the soup, which was Thai inspired hit the spot. The kids menu has good options and you also get a large amount of food for the kiddos! The fries were to die for! This has been our go to burger place since it's opened. We pick up the food and enjoy it at home due to COVIDs social distancing. My favorite burger has always been the Zucchini Ranch.
